Allow customization to your history. I like American history because im american Good quotes of history, needs to be organized a little better. A few tweaks here and there and I'd give it a 5 star rating.
TodayInHistoryLiteEdition is great for history magnets. Give it a better search option for all countries and in depth details on that day and hours(if available) of how it played out.
Anywhere from early morning in 1775 during the American Revolution War with Britain all the way to Landing on Normady Beach on D-DAY. But overall very useful.

TodayInHistoryLiteEdition is very well developed, rich experience, interesting, and fun to use. Quantity and quality content. It offers great content in a way that uses what iOS has to offer. Unlike other history of the day apps, it’s not simple one sentence items in lists with WikiLinks. You can save items and share too.

I’m not too sure how up to date or complete the content is so I keep similar apps to check that I’m not missing things. But this is TodayInHistoryLiteEdition I spend time in. I especially like the Categories section. Wide range of topics and information. Very cool!

Up until this version I would give TodayInHistoryLiteEdition 5 stars but the latest has a couple of bugs I would like to see fixed before I give 5 stars again. I have used TodayInHistoryLiteEdition for years. I am a history teacher and like to tweet out On This Day (#OTD) information. The share button has been convenient and easy to use until the latest version. I believe there is a bug, when I click on one of the references at the bottom, instead of bringing me to the link it returns me to the list of events. Also, in previous versions, when sharing an event, a link to the information was added to the tweet, but that no longer happens. Can you please fix these bugs? Thanks!

In terms of the content, TodayInHistoryLiteEdition is pretty solid. Love the daily history.

A few months ago they got rid of the links to Wikipedia. Major dislike!!! The Wikipedia links were so useful for when I wanted to know more about a subject- now that option is completely gone.

In the past few days, TodayInHistoryLiteEdition has been crashing A LOT. Like, I can’t read through a day’s history without 3-4 crashes. Between that and losing the Wikipedia links, I’ve begun looking for another history app. If they bring back Wikipedia and fix the crashing issue, I would come back- but it’s a real problem.

Although I really enjoy seeing what happened on this day in history, I have a problem with all the “important“ people whose birthdays are on that day… I don’t want to seem overly American, but most people I, who knows a lot of history, have never heard of. I really don’t care that’s some cricketeer born in the 19th century has a birthday today.

Generally... a good APP. I really enjoy the feature with daily “Pop-ups” of the .... To the tune of 4 to 5, maybe six, each day. It’s the very first thing I inspect on my device each morning!!
My only real grip is, oftentimes, the picture or photograph or painting accompanying said “Daily Happening” is so far Off-base as to actually not even apply to the tidbit I’m reading, and learning, about. This is a major disconnect, in my view, and should be easily remedied.

If you are a history buff, you will love TodayInHistoryLiteEdition. What I like most about it is the brief snapshot of what took place in history on a particular day, as well as famous birthdays and deaths. Then you may click on any event or person's name which takes you to a fuller or more detailed account in Wikipedia.

Well arranged. So much information and detail. I read each category in the morning with my coffee. Of course then I go through some days and have to share Did you know? Lol. A wealth of information . Absolutely wonderful. Definitely “my cup of tea”.

I’m a history junkie. I like knowing what happened each day. I would like to be able to learn more about what happened without having to leave TodayInHistoryLiteEdition . Also, I hope the developers update the database as time goes on.

Great app for looking back at history and events. The ease of use and multiple ways to read by category is nice but update the information to present time. Everything has stopped it seems since 2017!

New update looks beautiful!! Great way to learn about new historical events and make connections between the timeline of their occurrences. The daily quotes are also insightful and are a great way to start the day. Beats scrolling mindlessly on instagram any day

Very interesting and knowledgeable, I personally Love History. Never liked it in School but if I could go back in time just to Smack myself upside the head I would but I can so here we are I have a lot of catching up to do I’ll stay posted..Good Day.

I like TodayInHistoryLiteEdition. Gives you a little bit of history each day. My only complaint is that it does not go in depth. They do link many articles to Wikipedia, so it’s not that bad. All in all, for a free history app, it’s pretty darn good. I really want to give it 4.5 stars.

TodayInHistoryLiteEdition helps people understand what history has brought us and the people responsible. It not only presents the positive influences but the negative ones as well.
The only fault I found is that almost all of the births in the last two decades or so are either actors or sports figures. Certainly someone in another field was born during this time period.
I do love TodayInHistoryLiteEdition and refer to it every day.
I try to share what I have learned with the people I know and strangers I meet.

I have a problem with TIH’s resources. Some of the events, births, and deaths are listed in 2 different years!
Does anyone proof read the entries?

Use it in my classroom each morning and former students now do as well. Great way to tie in history to current events and help see that we are not isolated in time from those who came before.

This website is awesome I love the Reminders it gives historical fact both recent and remote and helps get the perspective of our lives today. The past is the light that illuminates the future.

Keeping it updated will be welcomed.. providing links to historical events would be great...

It's interesting to know what happened in history on a given day to see how far mankind had come or not. History does repeat itself over and over.

Having the ability to reflect on past events can possibly help us to not repeat disasters events. Helps us make our future

I love TodayInHistoryLiteEdition because it informs you about all of the historical things that have happened so many years ago. However, I do not like the updated version. TIH used to be simpler, like with the categories on the bottom of the screen: headlines, events, births, deaths, and holidays. It’s much more complicated and I don’t like it.

I love TIH! I have used it in my teaching for twenty+ years. I still use it today to remind former students and friends through FB of famous events in American history. I wish there was a filter or setting which would allow me to choose specific topics in our history. Years ago, I was able to select Revolutionary War history. I started every day’s morning announcements with one American history fact from that date.
