Smule, please please please please please go back to what made StyleStudio amazing, the singing!!! First of all, instead of creating trash like this, how bout giving us the ability on the fly to couple effects? Like how it used to be, WHILE you are singing??? How bout allowing us to use more than one effect on different parts of the song? For example, grunge on parts and delay on others??? How bout letting us make a solo, and if we want it to turn into a duo/duet StyleStudio will remove any part twos or whatever automatically? How about getting more licenses for songs instead of removing our uploaded arrangements??? Ooh, I know! How about adding the ability to upload and create arrangements from our phones or tablets finally??? You very lucky that the voice app and others don’t have the popularity to shut you down yet. But remember MySpace? Yahoo? All it takes is for the right endorsements and a more comprehensive app to come out. Just sayin.

No rating. Why? I have tried to figure the Style app out so many times I want to scream. But then I would lose my voice. Oh yeah, that’s why I pay for Smule, so I can sing, not be a graphics editor!! Smule was just fine before you added all this “stuff”. I hate trying to sing a song - because I have to scroll the tons of STYLES!! Hoping to EVENTUALLY find one that doesn’t have FLOWERS OR BUBBLES coming out of my eyeballs and mouth!!
Can you PLEASE give us some decent directions on how to use StyleStudio.
I’m sick of singing with all kinds of technical hoops to jump through. It has really DOWNGRADED the entire singing experience.

Now it is a huge struggle to push myself to do it, because life is TOUGH ENOUGH w/o having this to deal with too.
I’ve hated it since day 1.

Please - explain StyleStudio - it’s called DIRECTIONS.

And also here’s a tip so no one will see who you are in the future put a rubber band like a wide one around the camera

I seriously think this company has a five-year-old doing their app development. Every time an update is released, some other feature or basic function is borked, which ruins the experience. For instance, a few updates back, autoplay was removed from StyleStudio (smule), so when you listen to a song, instead of moving to the next song it just repeats the same song over and over until you’re ready to jump off a bridge. WHY?

Now StyleStudio, barely even FUNCTIONS. I have no clue how to use it, what its primary purpose is, or why this dumb sh&t even exists in the first place - HOW is this basic of all basic editing feature NOT in the main app?

Dude, Smule. get your s### together this s### is like coding 101. get a real programmer for crying out loud.

I am among many Smule VIP’s that are very dissatisfied with Smule and Smule Studio. The Smule app was brilliant. The new updates that include styles are not what I would expect from such an amazing app. They’ve made it difficult to get a great sound. After all it is a SINGING app. The video stuff is great but needs to be separate from the audio. The new audio features are difficult to work and the sound quality is severely lacking. Unless you like sounding like you are singing with your head in a bucket. And Styles is hard to use. I gave it a shot and went through the long process of creating a style and it has yet to work out right for me which I admit may be user error and not your fault. Maybe if you kept all that but changed the audio back to its original setup. Thanks

I love StyleStudio, but temporarily frustrated. I love Smule & Style Studio. Can’t afford to make solo videos often, but recently have become able to purchase Smule VIP pass when given an Apple Card as a bday gift. I was so excited to not only get to make solo videos and invite others to sing. However, I tried 3 times to upload videos through style studio and I got the same msg: “Something went wrong”. I’ll always use Smule because I love it! I love style studio, too, when it works! Thank you in advance for quickly addressing and fixing this issue.

How am I supposed to have planned out my song’s fx before I even sing it? How can I delete mine? Or edit the ones I made just to tear StyleStudio ? Why does it always bring you to the same video every time you open StyleStudio instead of a general loading screen? Why do I need a second app to do the exact same thing the original did (except now you broke it so this is our only choice)? Worthless. Unnecessary. You’ve managed to anger every paid user you have. Why am I paying for VIP when anyone can just use a template?? Why spend all this effort to break things instead of listening to our ideas (the ones made by people who use StyleStudio for years and know what we want??).


LET US DELETE INDIVIDUAL LAYERS.
Get rid of the static in the beginning of a song.
Give us back cover art.
Give us a logout button.
Save every layer without having to close out StyleStudio and wait 10 min each time.
Stop asking me to follow every person that uploaded a song (especially when I’ve opened the song a thousand times!)

First let me say Smule Style Studio doesn’t work for me. Next I agree with so many other user that Style Studio is a privacy concern. We give Smule permission on Sing app but how is it okay to just make all of our performances visible to everyone in Style Studio? I have performances my child had done. I’d be greatly offended if someone chose to edit their songs. Smule has had too many inconvenient changes to the point where Sing app doesn’t seem fun anymore. The video fx and voice fx can’t be chosen separately for each performance which is a complete bummer. We want old Smule Sing back. Right when they changed the platform to video was as far as Smule should have ever gone.

Why is Smule wasting money on this garbage when they need to be investing in how to have people be able to deactivate their account instead of needing it to sit idle for 5 years or deleting it permanently. Why are they wasting money making StyleStudio look like a joke, when there are people trying to use this as a platform for their music? StyleStudio isn’t even well explained, I looked it over and still wouldn’t know how to use it. I think Smule needs to invest in a better app with better functionality before they add garbage like this. Who’s in charge of this stuff . They need fired. It’s good in a way though…I think the 12 and 13 years olds will love this stuff….

Everything is horrible. Sound, terrible, videos, terrible. The fact that anybody can change your videos and audio fx without your consent and publish it? Its the craziest breach of privacy I have ever seen from any apps developers. Smule is supposed to protect its community. Rather, they are giving room to scammers, hackers to edit our stuff easily.
Imagining the teenagers who are using StyleStudio. Imagine the level of bullying they will face when their friends change their voice and put in on a website to tease them. Come on smule. You can do better than that. Your community is highly vulnerable right now.

This is piece of crap. I used to love StyleStudio with al the features before the update. It’s not convenient, it’s not valuable. There is no value I find from this. I’m disappointed with StyleStudio update ._. I won’t be able to enjoy it as much as before when I could use different effects. I paid for years for the VIP because I enjoyed it. I don’t even know why I should be paying for it now that it’s not as good as before. Honestly I felt the frustration with some of the other reviews. I related it and so are others. What was the point of having a separate app??

I love how StyleStudio can harness the creativity in making Smule videos. Many of the previous problems have been addressed and I’m happy about that but I still wish that StyleStudio doesn’t crash every so often and makes me lose my hard work. I hope that problem with crashing can be fixed soon.

Reviewers are really concerned about privacy which makes no sense to me , few things want to highlight:
1. It is cool app to get your creative thinking like a pro and add styles.
2. Publishing means you are only publishing your style for your song & it is only for you to use. The collab doesn't go public.
3. Styles are fun, believe me smule did great addition.
4. yes needs fixes i already emailed them on many.
5. You can search your collabs voc or not voc within StyleStudio . No need share from smule nice integration.

You need to fix StyleStudio where when we join someone on a song I can use my own settings not the ones they choose to use. There is no way to use my settings when I join someone. When a join begins we should be able to change the settings to our own settings. This is the worst change I’ve ever had to deal with since joining Smule. I’m sure no one will address this or even read this so I’m probably wasting my time but at least I tried.

StyleStudio restarts itself in the middle of creating a style. Most times the loading performance icon just sits there infinitely spinning and never actually loads a performance which I can use to create a style. If it does load, and I spend time creating a style, it gives an error saying it cannot save or publish.

He guys and ladies i love what yall have done. Its just hella fun. Ok there is a little learning curve but well worth it. Hey and I am almost 65 so if I can....well ya know. I am excited with where you are going. I dont want to sound gushing...but actually I am. Smule for life baby.

Seriously? You have to add another app? This is garbage, not a good move. Been on the Sing app for more then 8 years now, and the quality of vocals now isn’t good. Plz go back to the original App , cuz I believe you’re losing
good paying clients, and just continue to lose more, as StyleStudio gets more complicated. Thank you, I will continue to stick it out and sing for now……but it definitely isn’t as easy and fun as it used to be. 😟

I kinda freaked out at the beginning when I first saw that it affected the classic format but after playing with it for a day I am thrilled to say WOW! LOVE IT .... When you play with it a little you just realize that it’s a FUN improvement ... most definitely!!! THANK YOU SMULE! *HI FI*

How do I use my own performance I don’t see where I have that option it has others and that’s it. I don’t understand how to connect this with my Smule app.

Its hard to manipulate in the beginning, so far i have created 2 styles and published them, just i dont know where they were published though, so i think it needs more updates and fixing, with the right corrections can be a great app

StyleStudio is worthless, and it violates privacy by giving people access to the raw recordings of others. Imagine if people could remove filters from your photographs! Same idea.

Furthermore, the functionality is rough, requires a ton of manual set up, and is incredibly buggy. And it’s been partnered with the most devastating app update to Smule. Don’t bother with either.

smule was my favorite! it still is …But the developers have been ruining it lately!

And this style studio thing … it's unnecessary and it doesn't look or sound good and is a stupid waste!

Please please please sign off so we can use the version before you just messed everything up andI signed a petition and I know hundreds and thousands who knows maybe millions of people have…

I tried it several time and it freezes. It doesn’t work properly. I’m not happy wit the fact that anyone other than the owner of the Oc and the joiner be able to alter a collaboration using this.

What a horrible app. Beware smule users. They take your video and allow anyone to take it down to raw. I feel violated!! I didn't sign up for this.!! You have violated an entire community. I am disgusted by Smule. You have lost my trust

Smule, you need to fix this or trash it. Someone can search my name and find an old recording of my daughter and I...then make all kinds of adjustments and save it....all being raw and unfiltered...

The feature has potential, but it's created many issues within the core Smule app. Most notably, it's made the long-beloved multilayer collab features unusable.

This is annoying ! It’s horrible to use and we should get an option not to use it. Smh

Very unhappy about this. I don’t give permission for anyone to view my pre edited material. When I publish an open or collab it’s because I approved its current sate. Unethical and wrong. This going to be a platform for bullies

Fix Smule! I want these options back on Smule. I don’t want another app to do the same things Smule used to do. This is not easy to use. This is crap. So frustrated!
