Banana Kong 2 Reviews

The original Banana Kong was one of my favorite mobile games, so I was excited to try this one. It is basically the same but with upgraded graphics. The original used to let you play again right away. Now with all the monetization and engagement mechanisms, it takes a solid 7-10 seconds to play again after every run. For example, it waits to see if you want to revive because that’s how they make money, then it shows you all these keys and missions with fun but long animations, and then it takes you back to the main screen…it’s just too much. Original Banana Kong gave me that dopamine hit of just restarting right away, and now I just exit out as soon as I die. Monetization is killing gameplay but since I’m not a whale (big spender) I guess I don’t matter anyway.

Unfortunately its kinda unplayable in its current state. It freezes, lags and stutters including the sound. Controls need to be smoothed out and also it goes to a black screen every time it try's to transfer to a different area. Sometimes it fixes after about ten seconds and other times it stays frozen until you close out BananaKong2 . Hope the kinks get worked out.

As the first reviewer of the game I expected better from this game, the problems are more use of Bk coins than bannas especially 1 ups and other useful trinkets in shop. Also the powerups that uses bananas are insanely expensive, at the same time you don’t unlock all animals in the start of the game which makes it redundant. Lastly the 3D models of the gorilla and other designs are impressive but a bit ugly, 2D designs in the old one Is better. Overall this review shows that newer doesn’t mean better, I like your works over the years however it’s best to take take my advice to make the game better for or just continusly add new location and update in the old banana Kong 1 game. This isn’t worth the 4 month wait.

All three missions require items I do not have and don’t have enough coins to purchase (plumber costume, swimsuit, and safety vest). The items are pretty expensive and I’d work for them, but cannot since I’m stuck. Cannot earn anything through champion runs since I’ve maxed out at level 7. Guess they want me to spend money, but I always enjoy the challenge of beating a game for free whenever possible. Developer: can you please add some new opportunities for earning coins in a way that is possible to achieve?!

This is one of the best runner games I have played. The graphics are great, controls are responsive, and there are excellent surprises throughout. I took off one star because you have to grind a lot to earn enough bananas and coins to upgrade. I took off another star because some of the missions are too hard to complete. The game is not very generous with giving you the things you need (eg., boulders, vines, mine platforms, etc.), so it takes a while before completing a mission. I currently have only one mission to complete and it involves jumping on posts in the water. After over a hundred runs, the game has not given me enough posts to complete the mission. Many of the runs had no posts at all. Part of a game’s success is its replay-ability, and missions and collecting perks are part of that. There is no way to progress in this game without buying lots of coins. I already paid to get rid of ads and I’m not going to buy coins when I should be able to earn them. The game is fun, but also disappointing.

It’s great to play this sequel to one of the best platform runners on iOS! The graphics has been greatly enhanced and the gameplay feels more fluid. However, when comparing this to the original there are some disappointments. You no longer get to earn (or pay one-time for) the perk of being able to make one mistake but keep on going. This greatly reduces the length of pay and feels less fun to playing the original. There are other quirks as well, like if you get eaten in the lower water level the game abruptly ends. In the original game if you get caught under water you’d get kicked back up to the main level to continue the run. These are disappointing elements that take some of the fun out of the game when compared to the original. So, while it is nice to be able to play this sequel, I sometimes find myself going back to playing the first game and wishing some of the things there were brought over to game 2. But I appreciate the efforts made here with new enemies and challenges and I’m glad to find Banana Kong alive and well with this new version!

I love anything Donkey Kong related that’s my favorite favorite game. But this game is obviously different than regular Donkey Kong that I am used to. Anyways, the game has awesome graphics, great options and accessories. But the only thing that I don’t like is the controls are not that easy to use, at least for me. The controls are Supposed to be easy but when you have a mountain of bananas coming at you it’s overwhelming. Every time I tap on the screen to jump and try to jump higher I end up either landing somewhere that kills me or on top of an enemy. And I’m the game you can never move backwards. You always are going forward because you’re trying to keep in front of the mountain of bananas that are coming towards you. Other than that I still love the game. I just have to get used to the controls maybe with practice I will get the controls down.
I wish I could find Donkey Kong Country like the Original from Nintendo 64.

This game and its predecessor are pretty fun! They feel like as close as we are gonna get to a DK auto-runner on the phone. I will say I think I had a lot more fun with the first Banana Kong game. This one has some core issues and cuts out a lot. For example, the charge ability felt creative and kinetic. In order to enter the underwater you had to dash through the sewer pipe, in order to enter the underground you had to dash through the barricades, to enter the treetops you had to dash at the perfect time when on a vine! Each area was really fun and it all came together because you wanted to save your boost for when you could enter a new area, especially because the treetops and underwater don’t kill you! But then again you didn’t want to save your dash for too long because of the catching up banana hoard! And then they had the Rocket which didn’t require a boost because the area wasn’t any better than the standalone area, it was just different. Having this one not require a boost is a good pace breaker and making all of the areas like that felt pretty lame. For a third title I just hope it builds on the basis of the original with fresh graphics and new ideas! I loved that you have animal buddies!

I really like this game and think that it’s super fun and has been really good and I think anyone who’s thinking about buying it should and yes it does take a little bit to get to know the game and get good at it but after it it’s The Best 😋 I love it. I’ll play it all the time. And I would say some of the clothes or little things that you buy with your kong coins are a little bit expensive but I guess it’s worth it

First of all I haven’t played banana Kong in over a year and the sequel is a lot better than the 1st game but there’s only 1 thing I think should be changed… banana kongs running animation is worse than the 1st game so please make it look more like it was before. Otherwise great game

The graphics are much nicer than banana Kong one but the controls need some tuning because they are not consistent and reliable. Too many times I jump instead of jumping it dumped me into the water. Some tweaking to make better controls and this will get better reviews. Also it seems that it cost more bananas or coins to upgrade anything.

I enjoy the both games but one thing I do not like about the new game is the responsiveness of the gorilla, in the old game I could swipe up and down very fast and felt like I could make faster movements, another thing, in the original I could swipe down and go into objects without dieing, I understand that may have been a glitch but I think it made the game much better

I don’t know what happened to me. This game became so addictive to me trying to get to the worlds and see what else was in it.

I think this level of addiction is typically saved for the Candy Crushes of the world but for whatever reason this game hooked me.

This is an amazing addicting and really unique auto runner which is probably the best free game in BananaKong2 Store. Really really fun! I’ve put hours into this game and it never gets old! It’s so fun and great for all ages it also has lots of great and unique mechanics that you normally don’t find In mobile games especially free ones. And the adds aren’t that annoying either. They barely appear for me. I really think you should try this game if your looking for a great free auto runner mobile game. Great game

Game to you know what! I love how they have created their own style and it’s great to selling you have nostalgic games to remind you of your childhood. I am a 31 year old mom who loves to play these games for my 3 year old son to learn as well. He enjoys watching while also learning to play!

Really fun game This is the best infinite Runner games i have played it’s very nice looking for the eyes it’s really fun because it’s timeless game and I love the cosmetics you can put on Kong I really love the stages They’re so nice to look at the game this game is stunning love this game a lot and I love the first game Oh yeah there’s a glitch sometimes crates have two in one but still I won’t bring it down for five stars best runner game ever

Usually I make longer reviews but don’t got time rn. This game is actually very fun and addicting, not too ptw (still a bit tho). Not too many adds even without the game pass. Over all just a super fun no Wi-Fi game. I cant find out how to do 4.5 stars or somth but it’s closer to 5 stars anyways and just has a few tiny things, other than that great game

BananaKong2 is amazingly redeveloped to be modeled perfectly after the first game. Personally the controls are a little off but it’s amazing other than that! Thanks for recreating one of my favorite mobile games.

This game is so good. It has the best graphics I’ve seen on any mobile game, and the gameplay is addictive and fun. Also you can customize monke and give him upgrades. This game also helps with psychological depression and cancer. 11/10 I would recommend to any monke fan.

I cannot describe how insanely superlative this game is. The graphics: Too amazing for a mobile game. It belongs a video game console because of how great it is. Banana Kong 2 is so good, not good, AMAZING. The music, top notch. Although Banana Kong 1 is also great, this game is a massive upgrade. This game is underrated. I deserves more respect and honor.

A great revival for the banana loving ape! It has great physics and awesome new features like Hat Pins and Banana Coins. An absolutely banging soundtrack (The cave music absolutely slaps.), cool 3D recreations of the old 2D Banana Kong 1 Sprites, and an overall fun game just like the first. Definitely a game you would want to play when you’re bored, or have no internet.

I left a review a couple years back on banana kong, I am very glad to see the devs made BK2 it was my favorite ios game back in the day when it came out. This game has better visuals and more customization options than BK1. The only thing I would want more from BK2 is even more gliders and hats, besides the crown there isnt much else to really grind and work for. Definately 5 stars!

I remember playing the first part of this game, i thought it was nice but no way did it compared to the other runner games at the time. But i gotta say, this 2 part it’s absolutely amazing, it is right now one of my favorite mobile games right now, so polished, full of details, cool mechanics, this is really an outstanding improvement from the first game. Really loving it so far.

I remember playing banana king in my childhood and it was a blast. Seeing it remastered made me very happy and the inclusion of the retro pin made nostalgia hit even harder. My only gripe with the game is that the retro pin doesn’t play all of the original themes from the old game, only the jungle one. I wish the developers implement the old themes for the caves, treetops, and underwater as well. Besides that, everything’s perfect!

Ever since I was a kid, I loved playing Banana Kong. The music, the art style, the goofy character we all know and love, it was just amazing. I loved the gameplay, the mechanics worked perfectly and smoothly. I was so happy when I saw Banana Kong 2. I downloaded the game and immediately started playing it. The game is just as incredible as the last one! It might even be better! I love this game so much, and I hope you continue to work and improve on it!

Been here since the first banana Kong ever since I was a kid and have not been disappointed with the nostalgic feels I feel like I’m a kid again when playing this game and graphics have shocked me good work but the banana avalanche chasing you was better in bk1 with the graphics somehow but that’s just a minor detail compared to the rest of the game if this is made better I would love it even more also will we a get an option for the original music coz I liked it and the audio from Kong with his roar

I used to play Banana Kong a long time ago and recently I remembered the game, but couldn’t remember the name. After a while of searching I came across the title Banana Kong. I downloaded it and I enjoyed it once again. I will never forget the nostalgic feeling that I had when I clicked on the game and began playing. The music and the gameplay was incredible and I was very glad to hear that Banana Kong 2 was going to drop. I began playing this game and I have loved it just as much as the original and maybe even more.

When I came across this game, I was SHOCKED. I thought this game was going to be your ordinary running game. Kind of like Subway Surfers. But its SO MUCH DIFFERENT. What I like about this game is that there is a preety diverse amount of mechanincs, which makes it so original. I also like the fact that you can customize your character, which is a nice detail. Something im not a big fan of, is that there is only one character. I wish that someday they add in new *Playable* characters. In general, this game is really fun and intriguing. I really, really, recommend this game!👍⭐️

Banana Kong is a great game, so I will write this review in perspective of Banana Kong 1. Banana Kong 2 has new graphics, it is 3D with saturated shaders, which I personally like. The new transition animations and movement is good as well. There are also some new enemies and obstacles which add to the game. The power dash has been nerfed to a quick power up for breaking through blocks rather than an escape, which I feel was suitable as the original power dash’s block breaking ability felt more like a cosmetic than an actual function. Overall, this game is great and I hope others enjoy it as well, whether you are a new player or an OG.

Where do I even start with this immaculate game. The graphics, the cosmetics, and all the amazing great adventures that you can go on. This game has lifted me out of the horrible pain I’ve felt as a child. I mean this game is just incredible. A year ago I found myself with no purpose in this world, I didn’t know what to do with my life. But then I was on a search In The AppStore for a game to get me through for the day, and I found Banana Kong 2. That day forward I knew that all the pain I’ve gone through will be put away and locked away forever. Thank you Banana Kong 2 for creating such a amazing game for this world. This game is so fun and I love the graphics. It’s exciting and very fun.
I’m looking forward to new updates and versions. There are a lot of ads but there are never many ads in the row like I meant before I love the graphics and color. There are different areas of land where you can travel like underwater, high jungle, and beach. This is the best game I’ve ever played. I hope you make. Many more updates and new releases.
