Spent hours trying to back up photos but back up icon not available! What is the point of this product if it claims to back up photos but back up feature is unavailable??!!

Simply does not work. Returning the whole thing

If you want to back up a large amount of photos this drive is slow and constantly has errors. Certain files won’t upload but it won’t show me what file it is so I don’t know what’s uploading & what is not. Have too many files (55,000 photos & video) to go through the lot & double check. Have a pet sitting/nanny business and wanted to back up my photos & video of all the dogs I care for. And iDiskkPlayer is completely useless and is
Not at all user friendly. sSkip iDisk app & DO NOT buy their PhotoDrive hard drive. It’s ALL trash.

App is constantly having issues, from crashing multiple times, not letting you upload anything onto it (my current issue), only one image being able to download at a time bc if you try to select more than that one 9/10 times it crashes or just doesn’t download them (so selecting multiples means nothing), to taking FOREVER to load the images.

If I had known what I did now about it, I wouldn’t have spent all the money on the external hard-drive, and definitely would’ve found a different brand.

Drive crashes anytime I try scrolling through files with any size, thereby having to reconnect the drive after every scroll and pray that it doesn’t crash again. I don’t even have very many files in a single folder.
As other reviewers have noted, iDiskkPlayer really needs a drag and drop function for organizing files that is not based solely on time created, or file name. I would not recommend.

V 1.0.90 worked okay if clumsily for me, but now that it’s updated to the newest version, iDiskk player won’t see my Photos app on my iPhone, and there is no option to allow it to do so in the iDiskk player settings (there was before). So it’s now completely useless and I cannot transfer anything.

There is no desire on the part of iDiskk to EVER have this be a serious app with the functionality and utility that an Apple user expects. Notice that they’ve had 26 updates in the last year; 22 for bugs and 4 for adding features that should have been there to begin with. 22 updates for bugs; if each update only had 2 fixes that’s 44 bugs in the original release. Or maybe there was only one bug in the original release but each update fixed one bug and introduced two new ones. In any case If you bought the iDiskk flash drives use them on your PC and avoid them and iDiskkPlayer on your iPad/iPhones.

For some reason this update removed all my saved videos on the drive

Won’t backup or delete since update.

App is buggy and it seems like they want to send data to the company. Not trustworthy.

The 1.2.37 update froze my whole drive from playing movies. Thanks a lot 😡

Lots of bug fixing needs to be updated to rotate when using with iPad

So iDiskkPlayer is clunky and feels 10 years old but it works fine.
It really needs the ability to Move files and photos instead of just Copying them
iDiskkPlayer definitely could use some updates. The drive works well so why not have a great product and make iDiskkPlayer current
It would be nice to Drag and move files and photos instead of selecting them. Also there is a bug on single select, it doesn’t give any option to copy. You only get option to copy with multi select. And again a Move option would save a lot of time

I’ve lost images and videos for weird reasons with this before.

I love your app and device, being able to transfer my photos to the flash drive from my phone then transfer to my computer if so desire…however…

With the new update on 12/10/25 I can’t see what’s in the circles at the top. I tap on them to determine what they are. In different screens they are the back arrow, the “select all”, the “multi-select” etc. If I could upload a photo, I would show it more clearly.
Please have one more update to increase the contrast in the white circles at the top.
