Everything

I can’t explain what WhiteFlag has done for me.. it’s the reason I’m still here.

By

much needed!

an app like this has been needed for a long time! finally something to address the much needed mental health stigma where you can connect to real people who share and relate to the experiences you are going through

By

Very helpful!

This is a great resource to get help in between therapy sessions.

Keeps crashing

App keeps crashing

Doesn’t work

Won’t let me sign up

By

Signed up but then…

The first verification code took hours to get, and when I got it it was invalid.

The second time I had one sent took almost an hour and I got two; one was expired and the other was invalid.

The third time also took an hour, and I got two codes again… both invalid.

This app has been such a huge help

I use it in tandem with meds and therapy. It’s great to get help from someone who’s been through the same thing! And to be able to help others with stories of what I’ve been through is awesome, too. Great idea of an app! The execution still needs a little tweaking, hence 4/5 stars, but, for the most part it does what it’s supposed to!

What an amazing concept

When I heard about white flag I was immediately drawn. As a person who has struggled with depression and anxiety my entire life, I am constantly seeking outlets to help. When I downloaded WhiteFlag and filled in all the information my curiosity peaked and I began exploring WhiteFlag . Ugh, my heart broke as I saw all these people waving their white flags in hopes of someone seeing them and being willing to connect. I reached out to a few people and had amazing conversation with people who were struggling…the conversations were deep and raw. I realized that by simply listening, relating to their struggles, and giving them a judgement free safe space, not only did they leave feeling heard and connected, but I too was lifted.

WhiteFlag as an athlete.

I love WhiteFlag. It is such a great idea to be able to talk to others that may have gone through similar things. I love that it asks about your personally to make sure you are paired with people who are in similar situations for example I am an athlete and I specified that and now I am grouped with mainly other athletes. It has definitely helped me a ton to be able to talk to other athletes, and I’m very glad I found WhiteFlag.

App Keeps Restarting

I love this idea of being able to talk to others during those hard times. Especially when they know what your going through because they have gone through similar things. I really wanted to be able to connect; however I can’t even get through the signup without WhiteFlag constantly crashing. It will kick me out and take me back to my Home Screen, and when I go back into WhiteFlag to try again nothing was saved. I would restart the signup and the crash would happen again. I tried over and over again, but still the same result. Im disappointed!

Good Concept

WhiteFlag totally has potential my first issue with it is the chats don’t always send the messages through and for iPhone it hard to even send a message out to someone. Also when you are starting a chat some of the autogenerated responses to start a conversation are horrible and can be triggering… example “are you okay” well I have my white flag raised asking for someone to help clearly I’m not.
Or “Hi! I know how you’re feeling.” No the he’ll you don’t! It is a bad idea to use that verbiage because everyone processes things differently

Like the concept

I’m still having the issues with the chat feature tho

Great Concept!

I absolutely love this concept and am excited to see how WhiteFlag develops further! Experienced some tech issues first signing up, but seems to be working fine now. It’s been a wonderful extra tool for me to connect with others when I’ve needed support 🩵

Love this app!

WhiteFlag has really helped me connect with other people going through the same issues I am. Talking with others has helped my recovery and made me feel less alone. I will definitely keep using WhiteFlag in the future.

Fantastic customer service support

Originally had an issue when so many people were signing up for WhiteFlag, but their customer service helped give the right support quickly to resolve the issue!

By

Very good!

There were some early glitches but it seems to have improved to where there are no issues. I've used it while struggling and I've reached out and helped others when I wasn't. Love WhiteFlag.

By

A great space

A great space to meet others with inspiring life stories in similar situations to yourself. Sometimes we feel alone in whatever we are dealing with and this helps show us we are never alone 💚

By

The perfect community

WhiteFlag allows me to connect with others when I don’t have the resources around me at the time of need. I can’t thank this app enough for being a helping hand when I need it most!

By

Filtering

I love WhiteFlag. However, I believe that there should be a way to filter the support screen. It tells you that it is showing people with similar issues to you, but I don’t think that is true. There should be an option to filter through certain issues.

Can’t get up to open

I downloaded this today and have been trying to get WhiteFlag to open and restarting my phone twice. It lets me get partially through registration. And then it just crashes before that it wouldn’t even let me get to a starting page. I don’t know if there’s a bug or something I’ll re-rate once I can actually get into WhiteFlag but if someone who is struggling right now, this was not helpful.

Thank you

Thank you Kyleigh for helping me into a better space! WhiteFlag has helped me immensely! I am a better person because of you and WhiteFlag! Can’t recommend enough!

By

Absolutely amazing

WhiteFlag is such an amazing way for people to genuinely connect and have better support with their mental health. I can’t wait to see what WhiteFlag becomes as they perfect it more and more!

By

Amazing

I love having the opportunity to be able to try and help someone during a hard time.

By

Life changing

I love chatting with others. Being able to relate and share things is just so helpful when I’m in a time of need.

By

App disappeared

I signed up and logged in for less than 24 hours, talked to several people and then when I click on WhiteFlag icon it literally disappears. So, I uninstalled and reinstalled and tried to log in and the same thing happened again. What’s going on? I see the potential, but WhiteFlag can’t be doing disappearing magic tricks if you want it to work.

Lovely app

I think this is a lovely app and that it thrives. Everyone deserves support and this is a great way to receive it without feeling like a burden to your loved ones.

Love the idea… needs some work

Initially WhiteFlag is really great and the concept is amazing, sometimes it’s definitely better to talk to someone going through something similar who gets it. However the one thing that’s bothering me is that anytime I close WhiteFlag it logs me out and makes me log back in EVERY TIME. I’ve tried reporting it but there’s no one to actually talk to and contact for support and help for WhiteFlag . I also think there should be more options for reporting people, I have encountered some pretty rude people on here. Besides that, it’s a great app!

USA users only

Would love WhiteFlag to be available outside of the states. Unfortunately My Australian phone number is not recognized during the create an account process. Will this be available for an international audience anytime soon? thanks!

Update: Thanks for the quick response! Stars updated. 4 stars for the idea (hopefully 5 when I start using it). I can’t wait till it’s available in Aus, it’s so badly needed. Mental health is so expensive here.

Life changing, Mind changing🥹

Many people who are suffering, find it hard to vent out to family and friends, fearing that they will be judge, be a burden, not want them to dislike the person they may be venting. The worse feeling is venting to someone who can’t relate and they dismiss your feelings. WhiteFlag is amazing because you can relate to people going through similar experiences. You will feel supported and heard. Remember you and your feelings matter❤️

This app is dangerous and needs moderation.

WhiteFlag has no features that allow you to refer someone to a higher level of care if they are in an acute crisis. Missing out on that feature is dangerous because if your white flag partner is expressing they have an actual plan, with a method and time picked out, to kill themselves, and there’s no way to report that, your partner is left without the much needed crisis intervention. There needs to be an actual moderation team you can refer someone to in an acute crisis who can connect them with a local emergency stabilization team.

Overwhelming

I love the idea of WhiteFlag but it’s very overwhelming to log in and the first thing you see is a list of white flags raised and people needing help. I don’t recommend that being the front page. Can I please make a suggestion to the creator? Please consider making a front page that displays hope? Maybe a positive quote of the day? That starts the user on a positive note instead of a negative one. Then have the “flag raised” be a button we click on to connect with others? As a first time user, logging in and the first thing I see is a list of other people who are desperate and defeated made it feel like an app of hopelessness. Before checking WhiteFlag out, I recommended it to a friend based on description alone. As soon as I downloaded WhiteFlag and checked it out, I instantly regretted my recommendation because I know that if my friend were to log into WhiteFlag, they would feel hopeless. It just looks like a bunch of hopeless people. I HATE giving this review and I don’t mean any harm by it at all. Please hear what I’m actually trying to say. It’s a phenomenal concept. But maybe needs some tweaking. And I would suggest a section where a person can add a small description about their hobbies or things they used to like. Other things that represent them other than just their issues. Of course, I understand that this is a place for asking for help and offering support but that doesn’t mean it should just be negative. The entire app just has a negative feel to it.

Needs technical work, but otherwise is a genius idea.

People helping people. Sometimes it’s easier to offer help instead of receiving it and it can be healing of our own wounds to assist others with theirs. This is a brilliant concept and needs more technology to really increase its impact, but is all around worth using and supporting.

Great app

It’s been my main source of support many times while struggling. I’d be lost without WhiteFlag.

I do really wish they’d put some time and effort into it to make it work better. Nothing like needing support and having WhiteFlag crash on you repeatedly,

By

Instant help

There’s something kind of magical about having someone with similar issues validate your feelings and hold space for you to have all the feelings. It’s different than therapy and it’s been amazing. Helping others feels great, too!

Amazing!

I absolutely LOVE WhiteFlag! Not only can I help others in need but I can also receive help when I need it! WhiteFlag actually pairs you with people who are going through similar things as you are and I LOVE that! I actually feel like I have a support system outside of my husband. I feel like I can really connect with people and even turn these experiences into friendships! I also love how WhiteFlag is a message only app so you don’t have to have fear if a person will try to call you on WhiteFlag or anything and it’s amazing for my social anxiety. You also cannot send or receive pictures so you don’t have to worry about getting unsolicited pictures. It’s honestly and amazing app and I will forever be using it and recommending it!
