Writey Calligraphy Handwriting Reviews

I always had bad handwriting, and when I wanted to practice writing, I was upset about using too much paper. I knew how many trees were cut down to make these papers, and this guilt made me reluctant to practice writing. One day, I saw my friend practicing handwriting on an iPad, and I couldn't believe that such a thing was possible. I asked for the name of the application, quickly downloaded it, and now my handwriting has improved a lot. I am very happy that I am not harming nature, and I strongly recommend it if you also care about nature.

I am loving WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting so far, but I just think there could be more words to practice especially in cursive. I have trouble transitioning from letter to letter. Even if there are only a few each day but there was a new set of words each day that would be better than the same ones day in and day out. I also am excited to see the Spanish version that is coming soon!

I’m newly left-handed because my right hand now suffers from carpal tunnel and I need surgery.
I was using WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting to train my left hand, having the option to accommodate my hand placement was great but I no longer see it.
I can zoom out and it gives me space for my right hand but not my left.

Unrelated but I also think WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting should be a flat rate price. Subscriptions are already a lot to consider and an app such as this shouldn’t be a subscription based. I don’t think the content should be flat out free, as they do put out new content for multiple languages but considering what it is and how frequently one would use it, just doesn’t add up.

I have terrible handwriting, absolutely awful. My hands are very weak and I was just not we’ll tough. Didn’t practice enough probably! Anyways, I’ve been wanting to improve my penmanship but hadn't found any books that didn’t have childishly large activities to do. This is great! Several font types, shape excel sizes, different languages and characters! You can zoom in and out which is how I adjust my font size. Love this!!

Once upon a time, the poor were denied the ability to read and write. The industrial revolution created a need for the common folk to read directions and the genie was out of the bottle. To many a parents chagrin, the idea of computers has given schools the ability to remove handwriting and this has saddened me deeply. Thank for this wonderful app and appreciation for sharing the art of language.

This is a fairly nicely designed app, but it HAD a few key problems. The main one is that there WAS no automatic reset button if you want to go through and do the writing exercises again and again and again BUT THEY FIXED IT! This a great developer who listens to feedback!

I got it for my high school son who has had the sloppiest handwriting. It has truly helped him.

It is suitable and helps me write better not only print letter and number writing but also cursive letters and numbers WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting has been very helpful for me for this past year use. I recommend other parents use this for their children to help them get a little bit more of higher education than in school. WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting is very useful you should download immediately, thank you!

I'm left handed, and I wanted to learn how to write with my right hand. With previous practice, I wanted something accessible to write on, one that had guidelines for the letters, and something that would be easy to do again after finishing one set of letters, or page. Now with this, I've got everything that I need in WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting. 100% worth the buy.

I love this program and paid for the recommended subscription. I do wish it had an area to add words or sentences of your own such as a spelling list, days of the week and month or even name, address, phone number, etc… without saving info inputted into the program. All in all a great program.

OK DONT GET ME WRONG BUT WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting IS LITERALLY AMAZING but i think u should make it a bit cheaper or even free because there are only a few fonts and it’s basically WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting notes but with a template underneath. But if you want to practice handwriting and don’t want to spend money on procreate THIS is the way to go, WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting is amazing for practicing like i said i would lower the price a bit.

I can highly recommend WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting. It’s really helpful and easy to use. I do use my ipad to take notes and it really helps me to write better. Plus I am learning how to write cursive and each letter has arrows so you know how to correctly write a letter. So don’t hesitate buy WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting and enjoy writing.

Me not being able to write in cursive or read cursive I’m able to do all that now! I used to be a very messy and clumsy writer this helped like a lot my a's looked like u's but now they don’t so I a think you should don download Writey but you don’t have to if you don’t want to

It works really well. My 11 year old daughter had really sloppy cursive and most other writing apps didn't work for her either because they costed to much and didn’t work well or were free and just weren’t good. When I got this I was skeptical at first but it really works well for her.

I’m trying to improve my handwriting on the iPad and just in general and got WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting and paid the ongoing monthly fee for a very sub par app.

The interface for tracing in flawed. The sheets with words on them are just free write when those sheets if anything should be guided and have prompts not just individual letters.

I canceled my subscription. I feel like all these apps in this vein on WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting Store are very flawed and overpriced. But I’ll keep looking regardless.

This is really the program I was looking for to improve my handwriting. However I have an issue… I cannot get the screen to scroll up to complete the page! Any suggestions? I’m udons an iPad Pro with up to date OS.

I’m trying to learn how to write in cursive and this is the perfect app it is affordable for most and helps you practice using a pencil like object (i guess?) Apple Pencil if you have one. Anyways this is just a great app overall

Paid for WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting now they want me to pay for a monthly or yearly subscription this deserves 1 star. Update! Complained to developers and they totally understand my complaint and resolved my concern’s!

Pay attention to the last image offered on WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting page, that is what this entire app is. Only letters and numbers sheets, just like in kindergarten. No feedback, no words, no games. Perfect if that is exactly what you are looking for. For me, I just bet two bucks and lost. (Though happy to support independent developers, so there’s that...)

Using all the other free cursive apps did not support it well on iPad or just did not work. This makes learn cursive easy, not much more to say. Worth the $2 all the way !

I'm left-handed and need to learn to have neater handwriting but when I try to write with my pen, it stops writing randomly in the middle of the letter. Then when I try to write it again comfortably like with my arm on my I pad and it just stops out of nowhere. Don't recommend it if u have a problem with not being able to be comfortable when writing and if ur left handed.

There is a problem with this system why do you make us have to pay for it and why do we have to do baby steps I mean sometimes people know how to do it the reason why they download it is because they want to challenge themselves but they can’t on this game so you better be glad that I give this game 4 ⭐️ I could have gave I 1 I am so mad that I can spit and I am only 12 DO BETTER

App asked for a review within first few minutes so I will comply.... it's been fine so far? A subscription is immediately required if you'd like to do anything, with a free trial available only on their $25/year plan and only three days of a trial. I'm not sure it justifies the $3/month ($2 on yearly) with what I've seen so far, but it's certainly not egregiously overpriced.

I bought the month option and it charged me but it didn’t let me have any of the premium options, developer if you are reading this, I love WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting , I just wished the premium option worked

I have to say this is a very decent app, it had exactly what I was looking for, English print practice writing, where many of the others just do cursive writing this does both which is nice, the shapes and lines are fun and interesting but the circles are super hard to get right, they don’t even need to be perfect circles which is nice but you still have to get it in a certain way or it doesn’t count, I almost gave up on it XD maybe that can be adjusted to make it a bit easier? Love all the free stuff to do that’s available, it really lets you get a fee for WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting and figuring out if it’s one you would want to pay the subscription for and I for one think I will when I am able don’t know when that will be but yes, I like WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting and I recommend others who want to better there penmanship skills to try this out, you have nothing to lose and possibly a lot to gain with WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting!!

After browsing through endless similar applications , I find this very helpful and practical and also fun and whatever you’re looking for it is there for you, that’s all it could be said

Really helped me improve my handwriting. And I love the way it teaches you calligraphy and cursive. I just wish you didn’t need money to get more of the practice papers. I would also like if you guys added more languages to practice. I would really appreciate it if you added Arabic.

Won’t let me write, drags the screen when trying I’m using an IPad, and I write with my fingers. The thing I tried to practice was cursive - didn’t work, dragged the screen, I tried another to practice and same issue. I’ve also noted that this opens up a pencil menu seen when editing a screenshot. I hope this any of the above info can be of use, since I only tried WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting for a few minutes. Thanks!

I've just started using it to practice English calligraphy and am thoroughly enjoying the experience! I had struggled to learn calligraphy for a while, mainly due to difficulty finding a teacher with a schedule that suited mine. WriteyCalligraphyHandwriting has been a game-changer, allowing me to use my time efficiently for learning calligraphy whenever I want. Moreover, it is highly accurate in emphasizing correct writing techniques and is sensitive to the crucial details essential for mastering calligraphy.
Loved your approach and my experience. Totally recommended

Despite having so many features, you aren’t able to use the majority of them without paying for it.
You only get 5 individual symbols (3 aren’t even letters) to practice, a single 2 letter word, and a list of 5 short words. The purple guide that shows the stroke of the letter gets really annoying very quick as it happens every time you mess up a letter and you aren’t able to write when its there- as well as the animation that happens as it deletes an incorrect letter is generally visually annoying. There’s no way to turn these off either. The writing is super strict while also having no stabilizing for the pen so its hard to control.

Great potential but aggravating to use and half of the letters u have to pay to unlock, which I would if it wasn’t annoying to use

*edit* got an email asking for a five star. I checked the new update and it seems better, still could be more user friendly like an ability to pan after zooming in.

To me, not with $30 a month

I loved this game I tell I found out that it cost money so I deleted it. I would of had like this game if so. I hate it when almost every thing in a game cost money. I suggest to not get this game if you are a person who hates buying almost everything in a game. There is only 2 letters in each section that is free and I think that is stupid. I really hope you guys who made this game to make everything free, when it is I would play this game again and possibly LOVE it but right know no I HATE it because it cost money basically. So that’s why I give this game a one ⭐️. Please make this game free
