    Poor Customer Support

    After being told by my doctor that I was pre-diabetic and that I needed to both adjust my lifestyle as well as monitor by blood sugar levels, I found the My Diabetes app. I paid a lot of money for both nutritional guidance as well as a place to log my glucose tests. After getting my meter and commencing testing it quickly became apparent that I was only able to log one test. Each subsequent test, or attempt to log a test taken before, would “clear out” other logged test results. The customer service was not helpful at all! I thought I’d try to stick with it but still had no success. I then thought I’d ask for a refund, because clearly, the app was near useless to me. I was told that my request fell outside of the refund window even though I had engaged customer support while still inside the refund window. I will be reaching out to Apple Support to see if they can help? My advice - don’t give this company/app developer a penny... while it became apparent that the nutritional guidance provided by the app was nearly impossible to follow if just cooking for one. A

    No response over a week

    I ordered the plan for 6 months on 10/3. They promised I would receive an email with instructions. Over a week later- I sent several emails, tried to do a password reset and finally reported to PayPal. Then I received an email telling me I can just login on the app. After several failed attempts, I finally got a reset your password email and when I got in the app it was useless. I was able to cancel my subscription so it won’t auto renew in 6 months but I want a refund, I have requested a refund per the instructions and was just told- just login to the app. No, I want a refund, I’m don’t playing games with this app. I want a refund now. No one should have to jump through hoops for 8 days to gain access to a paid app and then still not have it ready to use update: Finally got a response and was able to login. Huge waste of money. I requested a refund- still waiting. They ignore requests and deflect back to the app. Do not get taken by this scam

    I got this. I was excited at the prospect of getting help with managing my diabetes. Most of all, I wanted help in planning my meals. When I tried, I found the recipes to be time consuming and included many different ingredients. It would be expensive to buy even one days ingredients. So, I said to myself, I’ll enter what I’d eaten that day, BUT, no, you cannot input anything you’ve eaten. Also, when you’re looking at a recipe, you can’t add the ingredients to your shopping list without getting out of the recipe and going to the list. Then when I tried to go back and select the recipe 3 other choices popped up. It was very hard to use.

    Very poor customer service

    I am pre-diabetic and this app is not developed for someone like me. I do not check my glucose level and I can not turn off the check your glucose notification. My doctor did not like this diet and recommended using the Mediterranean diet to loose weight and reduce my sugar level. I notified my diabetes that I wanted a refund because it is not the diet for me. I have sent them six messages and they have only responded once to my original message. This is very poorly run and once they get your money, they could care less about you.

    Customer service is horrible

    This app is a scam. It is riddled with buy more. Do not purchase this app. There are so many more options that are free and or do more. It gives a you a meal plan that is all. It does not connect to any glucose measuring. You have to add the numbers. I purchased this and used it for 1 week. I was only able to get a 50% refund. I paid for the entire year. There is no easy phone numbers to call for help you have to email them. It took 3 days for me to get this canceled. If I could give this negative stars I would. Don’t buy!

    This app and the meal plans are a RIP OFF!

    1) you have to fill out almost everything before they provide a cost 2) they ask if you want to add on 4 or 5 perks while you’re setting up your subscription, at $5 EACH 3) once signed up and when you provide your food preferences for them to put together a meal plan, they ask AGAIN, if you want your meal plan NOW, you can pay $5, or you’ll have to wait up to 24 hours. I elected to wait, and lo, the meal plan showed up almost immediately! How about that?! 4) the meal plan was too elaborate and had what I thought were unusual foods. We have a very simple palate, live out in the country, and have few gourmet - food grocery stores. 5) I tried to cancel my SIX MONTH PLAN, and they have offered me a 50% refund! UNETHICAL, but. CAVEAT EMPTOR! Let the buyer beware. THAT is why I’m writing this review. To WARN OTHERS!!!

    Not Adaptable

    Although the app support has been responsive, they have been unable to resolve my issues. I have food allergies that are not on their list of common “no-no’s” yet their was no simple way to eliminate these from my meal plans. There we’re supposed to be item and meal substitutions but some items had no substitutions and the substitute meals still contained items I couldn’t eat. There is no satisfaction guarantee so I will chalk this up to a lesson learned. Very disappointed with this app!

    Money grubbing to the Nth extreme

    Seriously, this is like filling out a Publisher’s Clearing House entry back in the day! You enter your info and get inundated with pages and pages and pages of “offers” which is designed to get into your pocketbook. *You’ll get your personalized information in 48 hours, BUT, for $5, you can have it in 24!* You get a “personalized” diet, grocery list, or menus, but you won’t get all three because...... Yep! You’ve got to pay EXTRA!!!! Want an exercise plan? GET OUT THAT CREDIT CARD!! What a scam.

    Nice interface

    My mother has been diabetic for 5 years now and she has gained a lot of weight despite dieting Until she got to use this app, everything changed. Her diabetes is under control, her weight is also decreasing

    I love this app!!! At first it was difficult to follow because everything is in onces, but I have a weight watchers scale and then it made it easier to create the recipes. It works for me when I follow it and I feel so much much better by doing so.

    Nice app

    I have been diabetic for 2 years, I am gaining more and more weight and fatigue even though I have been following the diet recommended by my doctor. Up until 2 months ago, I used this app. Amazingly, it helped me manage my diabetes

    Strongly recommend it

    I have type 2 diabetes even though I am quite young Therefore, I am very worried about my health. I have been using the app for a while and my health has improved. Hope I will always be healthy

    Do not purchase

    By far the Worst app I ever bought. Really is bad because I paid for a year being it was a better deal. However I new within a few minutes after purchasing I knew I would never use. Very limited meal choices and it is not personalized at all. I hate tofu, quinoa, buckwheat, just to name a few. Canceled same day and they only offer 50 percent refund. That tells me they know the product is bad.

    I tried this app for a total of five minutes. Somebody sent me a meal plan with the most unappetizing meals I have ever seen in my life. I will never try any of the foods that were listed. I immediately tried to cancel and get a refund, but these thieves said they would only give me a 50% refund. I am very unhappy with the app and their meal plan so why would you charge anybody who hates your product? Apple please ban this app from your store.

I'm a Type 2 diabetic and thought this plan would be great for me, based on its advertisements. I realized that I'd been "taken" when I tried to use the app itself to set up meals. The first thing I noticed was that, based on my answers, the app said I would lose a lot of weight on an 1858cal diet that was comprised of more carbs than proteins....lots of potatoes, grains, pasta, and breads. Nothing could be further from the truth! When I then tried to enter (or "log" as they called it) my own meals, every ingredient had to be enter in "ounces". Who measures an egg by ounces?
I wrote within 24 hours of purchase that I wanted a refund and to cancel my subscription. I've heard nothing from them except for the automatic response letter of "we'll get to you asap".
To top off everything, I was overcharged! Not be much, mind you, but when you're being ripped off, every penny counts.
I cannot stress strongly enough that this is a scam and should be avoided.
Me? I'm going to continue to write to them on a daily or twice daily basis until I get my money back. In addition, I'll be reporting them to Facebook and writing reviews like this everywhere I can.
