The first version of CBSNewsBayArea freezes after loading making it impossible to read any stories. It was even hard to close CBSNewsBayArea as the entire phone slows dramatically. iPhone 8 on latest software.

The latest update seems to have addressed the stability problems. Hope they’ve learned from this, they never should have released the first version.

Made me delete a perfectly functioning app that worked really well on my iPad. This one is made for phones and is unwatchable on iPad because it won’t rotate for landscape viewing. Just one more reason CBS is in free fall. Local and national news is so biased and opinionated it is becoming unwatchable. People are getting feed up with the stations agendas being rammed down their throat. What every happened to fact based reporting and investigative reporting?

The previous version linked the teaser on the home screen to the actual story. They made me dump that version to this piece of crap that dumps every link into the station’s home page which rarely has the one it linked on the first 2 pages of results. And of course erases the original story from the home screen

The original app was unusable. This one works fine and is current.

The new app is horrible!! I’m so disappointed because this was the best local news app. For some stupid reason, they updated CBSNewsBayArea so that it’s only good for iPhone and not iPad. I’ve deleted it and I have to find a decent local news app👎👎👎

Your previous app worked great. This one is a real loser. Can’t even read any of the stories because CBSNewsBayArea shuts down after three seconds. I only get the headlines from the notifications. Deleted it.

CBSNewsBayArea crashes consistently every time after 10 seconds, right when you have just begun reading a story that you had just received a notification about— total “tease” 👎

Keeps freezing my IPhone because it keeps updating its ads or refreshing articles.

“More news” button unresponsive as it updates sliding ads.

Scrolling is fine as it already cached.

Even after switching out, it prevented my iPhone to doing anything as it updated the ads in the background. Once I swiped it off, my iPhone got back to functioning property.

I removed CBSNewsBayArea completely.

I would give zero stars, I old version was much better. I cannot access CBSNewsBayArea now. Going to watch another news station.

The developers couldn’t be bothered to make CBSNewsBayArea iPad-compatible. If I wanted a tiny iPhone-sized screen, I’d run CBSNewsBayArea on my iPhone, not an iPad Pro. Deleting until the developers get their act together.

Video not there all the time. Really slow booting when the video IS there.

CBSNewsBayArea is worthless unless you are interested in 3 day old news. It doesn’t update its news stories.

App doesn’t work, freezes, can’t find stories that were on tv. Disappointing.

Old app was better. This doesn’t rotate for horizontal viewing. Don’t bother and if you have the old version, keep it!

Does anyone even test these apps before sending them into the wild?

This new app crashes all the time. Might as well see NBC Bay Area for a much better app experience.

User interface is very bad. CBSNewsBayArea is disabled to work with Airplay devices - this should even be allowed on CBSNewsBayArea Store

I really miss my cbs news but CBSNewsBayArea isn’t formatted to work on an ipad.
