I usually never take the time to rate apps, but this one desvenes a rating. It works well, and it’s free. Never any advertisements, no watermarks, and it works better than everyone other wifi/usb phone camera app. Even big companies like Elva to crumble to DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera. It’s seriously good. I’ve been using it for my streams now for months. People have asked me what camera I use, and I tell them my iPhone. Low battery? Too lazy to go get your charger? DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera is smart enough to use your camera while saving your battery.

Seriously DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera is great.

Had this iPhone 6s laying around and needed a webcam for my stream and webex/zoom calls. Works very well when phone is connected to a charger. Have not tried the mic on DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera, but imagine it uses the the speaker mic like it would on a phone call.

The free stuff only lets you do 480p or 720p but it adds a watermark. Personally 480p is perfectly serviceable when streaming games, you cant even tell the difference.

Would recommend making a phone holder or buying one if you’re using this as a webcam.

I’ve use DroidCam on my Galaxy and my iPhone and I LOVE it. Even the quality of my $150 webcam doesn’t come close to my iPhone’s camera. DroidCam and a phone mount are wayyy cheaper than that, with much higher quality.

Note: if you’re having trouble with your iPhone working make sure iTunes is installed and updated. My iPhone wasn’t working until I did that.

DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera is very easy to setup and start using, just one downside to it is that it doesn’t allow you to simply connect to your pc when the pc is on your hotspot. DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera requires 1 single wifi that both the phone and pc use in order to work or you can just simply connect them together by usb. Other than that it’s an awesome app! DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera was very helpful when I wanted to use my phone camera instead of my pc camera for google meet chatrooms. Thank you Droidcam for being useful to me during my school year!

I’ve used DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera to throw together live streams for weddings and church services on the fly and it works perfect every single time you boot DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera up. If you have 4 phone laying around you can use DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera and run great lives stream 4 different angle and just know it’s going to work always. Thank you for DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera!

I’ve tried everything on the website, but after purchasing pro, I can’t get it to connect at all. It’s been 2-3 months since it worked, and I’ve tried everything over WiFi without luck :(

Let start by saying that I’m an apps developer and I love DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera. It works very well and even over wifi, is good enough for use on Zoom calls.

The only real room for improvement is in UX and it’s not really needed as DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera is already pretty simple and just works.

On my iPhone 11 pro, on fast wifi I still get constant stutters and freezes when using my phone as a cam in Skype and zoom. Not sure why as I'm able to facetime just fine. It's also. Newer laptop. Even with "limit fps" and quality set to low, the lag makes DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera unusable. I got much better frame rates with the free NDI app...but that has its own set of peoblems (like not seeing my phone on the network most of the time)

I needed another app to help with live streaming using OBS since I had other devices on the same livestream using paid apps like EpocCam and OBS iOS.

DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera works better with OBS when compared to the other ones listed, even though I was worried that it was more for androids based on DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera name.

I downloaded DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera since it claimed to work with USB. (No necessity to connect to the internet like some other apps have for some reason.) It’s easy to use, works great, and the premium version is inexpensive. I use it everyday for work! I would definitely recommend this.

I am a streamer on Twitch but I didn’t have an actual camera to show my face with. DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera is a godsend on that front. The quality is amazing and I didn’t need to spend extra money I don’t have to buy a pc camera. I can’t recommend DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera enough.

I’m using an iPhone SE2 with a Windows machine. The free version allows for white balance which is nice. It takes a minute for the computer to find my camera but other than that it works well. I use a separate mic and only use the video through the phone.

Kudos to DroidCam! I recently bought a laptop but the webcam was terrible. I didn’t want to shell out more money for a mediocre camera let alone a bunch of money for a good quality camera. My cellphone has a great camera and DroidCam lets me put them to use for video conferencing.

If people say I’m a bot I’m not even tho you might think I am DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera is great but does disconnect if WiFi is good or not it’s not DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera it’s the WiFi when it stop or just messes up but overall it’s a great app all the other apps costed to much but this one for free was the best thing to get

Gets the job done for a webcam, absolutely reliable and last for a long time. I definitely recommend this if you need a webcam of any sort for your pc or computer because you can just use a phone camera !

So glad I installed DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera and used my phone as a web cam instead of purchasing a webcam because it works GREAT! Plus, I’t connects wirelessly to my computer so I mounted my iPhone to a tripod and sat back with my computer running OBS Studio and streamed a live church service back in the back pew! 😀

works as expected. Saved me some money on webcam. Also your cellphone cam is going to be very high quality than some cheap 30fps webcam. It is wise to reuse hardware u already own. Privacy could be a concern, I have not investigated what kind of data is collected by DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera.

This is a great app that worked perfect the first time I loaded it. My web cam cashedJust before an important meeting and I was able to get this up and running in a few minutes. I use it with OBSAnd it worked without a flaw.

So when using DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera , I noticed that sometimes DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera glitches out and the video freezes to the point where I have to restart DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera on my iPhone 6s + the pc (w10) but other than that I enjoy DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera when it works, I mean I also stream with it (twitch) and honestly I wish it worked better that it does.

I love DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera . Definitely a good alternative to use. If you’re having a good phone camera, don’t buy a cheap webcam because this is good enough to use. If you wanna buy a web cam just buy the best

DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera is amazing really good for webcam for obs or Zoom meeting but only 1 thing is the camera is not really clear.

This works perfectly. I have been looking for a good webcam option since the while pandemic started and I didn’t want to spend $200+. I found DroidCam from an LTT recommendation and it does exactly what I need. Now, even when webcams are back in stock for normal prices, I will save my $80+ and stick with this option. Frankly, I wish I found it sooner.

Can you please password protect the stream that the iPhone is broadcasting over the network?

It would be good for those of us on less secure networks to be able to password protect our video streams.

Encryption would be nice too but I understand that’s a bit more difficult.

I was looking for a way to use my iPhone as my webcam as I didn’t want to spend a lot of money for a cam. I specifically wanted to use the camera for Adobe’s Character Animator. EpocCam and IvCam didn’t work with Adobe for whatever reason. Droid Cam works perfect with it!

Works really well as a web cam. Spent $5 for the pro version and saved me $50 from having to buy a web cam.

Pls make a app for all phone AND HPtm Computer! Bc my hp computer and my phone don’t have a app for it so pls make a app for all phone/iPhones and computers

DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera runs as expected and does everything it says on the tin, but it's just annoying how the video cuts out and needs to be re-setup if i exit DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera in any capacity. besides that it's all good, thanks!

Even though the name of DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera is (Droid)Cam referring to android phones, DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera still works perfectly fine, it doesn’t matter what phone you have, for example I still have a 6s and it pushes out great quality.

I am reasonably decent with technology, and DroidCamWebcamOBSCamera is a mess. Lots of the orange screens, lots of crashes not only trying to problem solve, but also when trying to remove the connecting driver software from my pc. The website was no help at all. I don’t need another project, I just need something that works. Go elsewhere, avoid the sloppy code.

The Windows program crashes as soon as I try to connect to my iPad. It also crashes trying to connect to my Android phone. Doesn't matter if I use Wi-Fi or usb. Trying to uninstall the program blue screens Windows. After restarting I have tried again. It crashes Windows again. This program cannot be uninstalled.

This is all around a disaster of a program.

It’s impossible to buy a webcam as they are solid out everywhere, and people are hocking them for 2-3x MSRP on eBay. DroidCam is a really nice alternative to take advantage of the camera I already own. It’s very easy to switch between computers. The only downside is that compared to the android version, the iOS device must stay on while using. The pro capabilities are nice and my built-in camera flash provides decent lighting for conference calls
