AUv3 misses a lot of functions, needs more work.
This synth sounds good and is pretty fun to play around with making your own LFO modulated synth sounds. The only disappointing part is that the features like Factory Presets, ARP, FX and Record functions are only available in the stand-alone version but not in the AUv3. The synth is very simplistic as is, but It feels even more bare bones as an AUv3 with most of the extras missing. If you purchased the full app hoping you will get access to the full list of factory presets in the AUv3 you will be disappointed. You will have to create everything entirely from scratch yourself in the AUv3. What makes it even worse is that you can only save your own presets in the host app, but if you try to use the AUv3 in another host you will also have no access to any of the user presets you saved in the other host. I really hope the developer will be able to address this and make a widely accesible preset menu across all versions.
Simple and versatile
The oscillator and filters offer a unique and pleasant timbre that would pair well with a variety of instruments. Easy to create a good sound, hard to come up with a bad sound. The interface may be too simple if you're looking for something complex, but it's great for beginners. Flynth would be great for when you're jamming with a variety of people, and a non synth wizard asks to play a synth. It doesn't turn every track into an EDM, synthwave, or science fiction soundtrack, a common challenge that you may have encountered if you've ever tried to jam with a guitarist or pianist.
Nice synth with some pretty decent sounds , fun to mess with. See what you can come with.
Fly the synth review
It’s like a fusion of Alina string synth and a harpsichord synthesizer. Great for Sci fi soundtrack or like me playing over old episodes of MARY, MUNGO AND MIDGE and SIMON IN THE LAND OF CHALK DRAWING.
The presets are really bad.
Not much to talk about here. Most of the presets sound the same. The bass do not deserve to be called bass sounds.
Beautifuly simple with amazing sounds out of the box.
I used this for all of about 3 minutes and because it was a universal purchase, I just paid for the $4.99 for the full version. Over the last 20 minutes I have played with each of the presets and I love nearly all of them. The standard Arppegiator and the FX are a nice add on and make this a true stand alone instrument. I am looking forward to playing with this on the ipad and midi setup later this evening... so far on the mac it is a breeze to setup midi and the sound is amazing through my studio setup. Like DM1, Just buy this.. you will play with it often.
