Great but do I need another synth app?

It would be great to see Fingerlab create a bigger app combining features of their excellent smaller apps such as Mellowsound, Musyc, Playset, SK-51 and this one. I won’t mention DM1 because it’s already pretty big, but even an app such as DM1 could use a built in synthesizer.

Do I need another synth app even though it’s beautifully designed, easy to use, has great LFO implementation and sounds good? Maybe, and it’s fun to use it but would like it better as a part of a more complete, bigger app.

One thing that seems to be missing in the free version I’m testing and I’m not sure if the full version improves on that, is the lack of control of keyboard behavior. I’m talking about settings such as portamento, legato, unison, polyphony, etc.

On another note: when clicking on developer’s name in Flynth Store we can see all other apps created by them but NOT the this app. Strange.

Simple and versatile

The oscillator and filters offer a unique and pleasant timbre that would pair well with a variety of instruments. Easy to create a good sound, hard to come up with a bad sound. The interface may be too simple if you're looking for something complex, but it's great for beginners. this app would be great for when you're jamming with a variety of people, and a non synth wizard asks to play a synth. It doesn't turn every track into an EDM, synthwave, or science fiction soundtrack, a common challenge that you may have encountered if you've ever tried to jam with a guitarist or pianist.

Great, back to basics synth

Fun and easy UI. Fantastic tool to learn basic subtractive synthesis. Easy to make great sounds.

Would be nice for more detailed controls. LFO’s don’t go slow enough. Envelopes are rather touchy.

Still a good overall simple synth.

Beautifuly simple with amazing sounds out of the box.

I used this for all of about 3 minutes and because it was a universal purchase, I just paid for the $4.99 for the full version.

Over the last 20 minutes I have played with each of the presets and I love nearly all of them. The standard Arppegiator and the FX are a nice add on and make this a true stand alone instrument.

I am looking forward to playing with this on the ipad and midi setup later this evening... so far on the mac it is a breeze to setup midi and the sound is amazing through my studio setup.

Like DM1, Just buy this.. you will play with it often.

Great way to learn, limitations for recording

The animations for the LFOs are really helpful in understanding what is happening. Everything is intuitive and easy to read. AuV3 works well. I only wish there was a mono/poly/legato button, which would make monophonic basses more clear and powerful

Simple but very nice synth

This synth sounds good and is pretty fun to play around with making your own LFO modulated synth sounds. Thanks to the developer for the latest update, making the AUv3 a lot more complete! Awesome sauce 😎🤩🌟

See what you can come with.

Using it with Beatmaker 3

I purchased Flynth and i’m using it in Beatmaker 3. I cannot access the top of Flynth where you can cycle through the sounds. Please tell me im doing something wrong and how i can fix it. thanks

Knobs do not turn

Spent 10 minutes trying to grab a knob and turn....or, "tweak." But the best you can achieve is the knobs partially rotate, random direction, cursor does not attach to it. Click. Click and drag. Double click. Nothing.

Save altered presets??

Why is this not available on many of your apps? Huge limitation.

By

Used for about one minute

Unable to use my computer keyboard to play the keys. No settings in Flynth . If you don't have a MIDI keyboard to attach, I doubt you will find Flynth useful.

a nice one to have

i find it useful in my production thats why i have the full version

Fly the synth review

It’s like a fusion of Alina string synth and a harpsichord synthesizer. Great for Sci fi soundtrack or like me playing over old episodes of MARY, MUNGO AND MIDGE and SIMON IN THE LAND OF CHALK DRAWING.

Samples not what I needed; denied return

I requested a refund after listening to the samples just a few days after but was denied a refund.

The presets are really bad.

Not much to talk about here. Most of the presets sound the same. The bass do not deserve to be called bass sounds.

Forgot the KLEVGR logo?

Because I swear I own this synth already. But instead of this app, it’s called Hillman.
