You would think for an app intended to find events happening “IRL”, searching by location, or even knowing which cities have active events, would be important. Instead I entered my home city and still got a listing of events in Chicago - not even a “there are no events near you but we are working on it 🥺” type message. This looks like it would be ok if you’re in Chicago but seems like a big waste of time if you are not!
Visually the new update looks good but that’s about it. Takes too long to scroll through the feed now to find events. Got rid of the feature where you can hide events on the discover tab. There’s too much junk in the discover tab. App is starting to be over run by promoters to come to their bar/club. If you show up by yourself it’s no different than going to any random bar/club by your self. There is no actual social event going on where you actually meet people.
Seems like a really great app that I would love to use but unfortunately it seems to be mainly based in Chicago and is not widely used in other areas yet. It is also hard to see what is being provided locally since they haven’t developed filters yet to change the range of things that you can see.
I’ve been in Chicago for two years and have been craving some new things to do and new communities to be a part of!
Ever since I’ve joined I’ve gotten the chance to become a part of some really intimate friend groups and have definitely found new people at similar places of life
Pie itself could use a couple upgrades in terms of features but it’s really easy to use to make and find plans !
Pie is perfect! It takes the hassle of scrolling through various social media sites for current events to attend. Everything is localized in one app! As someone that’s more on the introverted side, this is a great way to become more social and meet new people.
I love how simple plan-making is. I’ve been using Pie to keep track of my plans with friends, and it’s really nice to have a chat for each plan to keep the conversations in one place.
Once you’ve got your friends using this app it’s a way easier way of coordinating get together, making plans and talking it up then any other option.
I’ve been going to this app events for about a year as well as hosting events using Pie and the people I’ve met through Pie are authentic and worthwhile connections. The relationships I’ve developed as a result go beyond the party promises and have lead to irl friendships.
Great way to find cool things going on in the city!! A lot of the events are free and I’ve already made friends and found a few different communities. Definitely recommend for people looking for new friends or new fun things to do!
Used Pie to find events to meet new people after I graduated college! Its been super fun going and also planning events and meeting people from the local communities.
Definitely recommend for people looking for new friends / activities 😄
Granted, I live in a big city, but it is super easy to find something local and fun with Pie, and I’m impressed with the UX. Each event gives you multiple options for which map or calendar programs you’d like to sync with, and the in-event messaging is helpful too. Highly recommend!
This is the only app with actual chill things to do. Other apps are all nightlife or professional events. this app has all that + coffee meetups + karaoke nights + run clubs + dinners + comedy shows + more.

I’m super excited to see this app’s expansion to more cities in 2025 🗺️
I’m the person who constantly bookmarks cool events and restaurants on Instagram and then follow through on almost none of it. this app has been really useful in helping me actually follow through on not just finding cool things, but actually DOING them. The thing I really love, though, are the people I’ve met at this app plans. It’s been cool to make new friends I would not have had otherwise met.
When I moved here there was nothing like this and it made it really hard to find friends in a new place. Since getting this app, my whole life has changed. So easy to find real friends doing activities I actually enjoy. Can’t recommend enough!
Pie serms great, clean UI, and always have fun creative events to attend. Their employees are wonderful to talk to and great sellers of their product. I meet one of them on the plane ride out of Chicago and had app download before we took off and ready to use when I get back in town. Thanks again Beatriz for introducing me!
this app has been a warm & welcoming way to meet new people (name seems perfectly fitting!). I’ve been able to discover cool plans in the city and attend unique, out-of-the-box events that a google search won’t help you find. Recommend in a heartbeat, my cozy friend circle feels closer to complete thanks to this app. 🥧💜
Recently moved to Chicago and got ads on IG for making new friends. I downloaded it and I’ve been to a couple events now and they’ve been really fun. Also cool because I get to run into some of the same people across events and have made some friends to do other things with as well!
I downloaded Pie to create social plans with my friends and families and will never go back. Group texting for plans has been quite disruptive and often times messages get lost in the mix. Pie organizes all of the details surrounding the event and is super easy to use. I love having everything in one place.
this app has made it sooooo much easier to link up with my friends. They are all so annoying to make plans with but now we can easily organize all of our activities like picnics and parties. I really love that people can vote on a date so there’s not a lot of back and forth messages but everyone can still get involved ☺️☺️
I’ve had this app for about 3 weeks and have gone to 4 different events so far. all of them were a fantastic time and were great ways to meet new people in the city
