Not good at all! Unable to uninstall! This is very non user-friendly and does not allow you to uninstall or stop payment. Do not use ToonMe unless you are willing to keep on paying for this. ToonMe does not even let you write a review unless you have 100 words so you have to put this long message just saw it will let you post this. I keep on trying to close this out but it doesn’t let me because I have not reached 100 word limit so I will just keep on writing the sentence is over and over again very on user-friendly does not allow you to post reviews does not allow you to leave under 100 word message.

I saw lots of cute twitter pictures of people turning their faces into Disney Pixar and wanted to try it out for myself. I do NOT recommend unless you have a perfect headshot of yourself in perfect lighting with perfect hair and makeup. The first picture I tried was no makeup with my hair up, and they turned me into basically Hans from Frozen. Kind of hurtful. Then I tried a picture of myself with my hair down. The angle wasn’t even too bad, but the cartoon character that came out was about 200 pounds heavier than me in the face. Because I happened to be looking slightly up with my somewhat long chin and roundish jaw. I understand exaggerating certain aspects of someone’s appearance into a cartoon, but turning someone’s face shape into being morbidly obese is genuinely hurtful when I’ve spent years struggling with both my weight and health due to OCD. I wish I’d had the experience that I’d seen others have online, but I just don’t have the time and energy for a full photo shoot that would let the program see that I’m a woman who weighs less than 200lb.

I downloaded ToonMe for one purpose: to try out the 3D cartoon maker. I thought it would be cool to see myself and other people as characters like Anna & Elsa from Frozen, for example, or Rapunzel from Tangled. However, out of at least ten pictures I used of different people, the results were weird and unrealistic. The art looked rushed and didn’t show much resemblance to the actual person. It was so weird and creepy. Also some of the ads were unacceptable. Besides, there were a million toons you could do that had the same exact effect. Definitely do not recommend. Do not purchase! Also for anyone who’s crazy enough to try it, when you first open ToonMe and it asks you if you want to get a pro membership, the way to get out of it is to look at the top left corner of the collage of pictures.

I open ToonMe and immediately see a full screen prompt for a survey of how I found ToonMe . Eventually I find a skip button half off screen in the bottom right corner (not following the safe insets for rounded corners). Then it brings me to a page asking to pay for Pro, also full screen, this time with a white X in the top left corner on top of a white/light pink gradient so it is barely visible if you know where to look. Then I click on one of the options and it opens a full screen ad (fine since I hadn’t paid and obviously they need to make money somehow), but after a few seconds, there was no change and no visible X and I was done hunting for horrible dark pattern buttons so I uninstalled.

ToonMe got 2 stars from me because it wasn't very good. At the start, I took 2 pictures of myself and cartoonified myself. Actually, they looked really good! I had a detailed astronaut design on my shirt, which was in the picture, and it even cartooned the astronaut and it looked perfect! I "saved" the pictures and went to my camera roll too see them. What? I didn't see the cartoon pictures. I saw me. Regular, realistic me! There was not a single bit of cartoon in the pictures. ToonMe just let me take a picture of my self and save it. What a waste of my time! this app, if you see this, please fix it.

So yes I like ToonMe (cause that’s in the title so duh) But before I got it a few days ago I searched up “ Cartoon video editors” and I found ToonMe. Then I was like, wow, this is the perfect app for my purpose. 1. Then, I got ToonMe and I was looking for how to make a cartoon video so that I could show my cousin and we could make one, but I searched and searched and I could not find anything even close to a video. Please let me make cartoon videos.

2. The photos are not realistic. I took a photo of my dad and he looked more like his business partner than himself. Please make them look more like the actual person. Enchanted did WAY better.

3. It’s very hard to navigate. Please don’t think that I am criticizing your app. It’s just, it needs a few tweaks to make it more enjoyable. Thanks for reading, please leave a response. 😊

There are only a few options for brown or black eye colors, while most are blue. There should be a separate option for us to choose where we can select which eye color we prefer. Although there are dark skinned people with blue eyes in the world, I am not one of them. Therefore, I look ridiculous with them.

Also, the 3-D cartoons look nothing like me and they look very different from the picture submitted. They even come with different radiation in the face that I’m not there.

Please rectify these issues as soon as possible. I will change the rating once the changes have been made.

I would give ToonMe a higher rating if it were not so expensive. For the money I spent on it I should own it outright, not be renting it for a year. That said, it is a very fun app to play around with. Some of the cartoons I've made were a lot better than others. It made most of the women I've done very glamorous but a few came out not very pretty. I decided I would use ToonMe when ever I got a chance to help justify the rental cost. I downloaded ToonMe for the free 3 day trial. I thought I got back to it to delete it in time but I didn't make it so I ended up paying the $25 for one year. I've put a reminder on my phone to delete it at the end of 11 months. As much as I like ToonMe I am still not willing to pay another $25 for it!

It’s a very good app, selfies and pictures are much better than the originals. User interface was a bit confusing in the beginning but it clears up in a little time.
What concerns me is the photo privacy. When I initially installed ToonMe , I gave permission to all photos, then I decided I wanted total privacy so I turned off (disallowed) access to all my photos from the iPhone settings. To my surprise, ALL tenths of thousands of photos that I have up to date were available and visible from within ToonMe. I thought it was a glitch, so I logged out of ToonMe , deinstalled it, installed it back and this time without even logging in, all my photos were again accessible from within ToonMe . How is that possible? I checked the photo privacy in settings…..it’s set to NO photos allowed. ToonMe is still asking for permission to access my photos, yet when I press the camera roll icon, they’re all there. I’m very confused, I had photo apps before (google photos for example), but the moment I turned off access to all photos, then I could not see any of them in ToonMe . But ToonMe is something else!

So, I’m a girl. With dark brown hair. Do you know what this gives me? Dirty blonde hair. Thanks! And also, all the people saying “works great its amazing" probably wear makeup and have perfect lighting.

Hi again. Reading my past review its not very constructive or detailed, but its just plain rude. I have indeed tried again, and it still is dirty blonde. Which dissapointed me. I was in the sun and I had even lighting at that moment but it was disappointing still. But what made me give two other stars are the fact the developer responded and told me what to do. Thank you!

this app is a great app don’t get me wrong, but I think it should have some improvements. First, you can’t have more than one person in a photo. I think it would be kinda cool to have a group cartoon pic of you and your friends. Next, the background is blurred. I like the effect that the background looks blurry, but it would be really nice if you could turn that effect off in like a settings type of area. Lastly, the thing that bothers me the most is the logo on the picture. I totally get it that you want to advertise your app but again maybe add a settings place to turn that off. It’s a good game because it turns you into a cartoon and you can be anything on camera and you can tap the celebrity button so you could be like Taylor Swift and other famous people The bad thing is you need to wait I don’t know some people that don’t like waiting so if you don’t like waiting that much I wouldn’t recommend it’s not the best game ever but it’s still cool it’s also free but it also freezes sometimes and then you need to wait a whole day to unfreeze trust me I’ve tried this many times that is all I need to say good day

I think ToonMe is great! It is better that most cartoon apps because you don’t have to pay to cartoon yourself. You can cartoon unlimited times and there is no adds! Yay 😀. I would enjoy if there was more cartoon filters and if you could see the pictures you have cartooned in ToonMe ! If you are looking for a app to cartoon yourself than I would suggest ToonMe. It is not the cartoon app for someone looking for a fancy photo editor with millions of gadgets to edit with but it is amazing and I love it very much. I would definitely recommend ToonMe to anyone looking for a free option to cartooning yourself with fun filters. ToonMe is easy to use and free. Also they don’t constantly make to try and buy a premium. I use ToonMe daily and love it so much. Download it Today!

I got ToonMe because I saw it on an add and thought it looked cool, I was not wrong ToonMe is amazing and I love it, it does have adds, and some stuff need the pass Witch costs money but no a lot needs it, one thing is that when you get in there is a little quiz of how you got ToonMe but there not a a skip button on the bottom right, then there is an add. ToonMe does need Wi-Fi. Over all this is an amazing app I highly recommend it!

I love this app!! I especially like the cartoon effects it does, just I have a few suggestions, I know you want to advertise ToonMe using watermark, but I was hoping there could be change where if you aren’t using PRO then you have to watch an ad to remove the watermark,
And maybe we could have like, more than one person in the photo, it would be awesome if we could do that. Then I could make my own graphic novel!!

This is the best photo editing app I have ever used.

As some reviewers have pointed out, your photos need good lighting. You can’t just take a photo in the moment and edit it right then. However, if you have some good photos already saved (as most people do), ToonMe will create INCREDIBLE cartoons.

Typically apps like these just put a filter over your face. this app actually recreates you as a cartoon. I have had SO much fun using it, and would recommend it to anyone.

I love ToonMe so much and I love showing my relatives it! But I have a few small things that I must point out. My cousin just graduated and I wanted to send her one of these of her graduation pictures. She had on one of these hats:👩🏻‍🎓, but sadly it cut the hat off. Also, some of the add ones and backgrounds can be a little strange. Like I wanted to send my friend one of her and it kept putting a bubble in her mouth. And another time, it put an obnoxious background on! All in all tho this is an amazing app and I love it!

Okay , I never write reviews on any apps. Because me an app is just an app. I have downloaded so many apps trying to find the perfect one to make myself look like a cartoon character ToonMe gives you so many different choices to make yourself look like any kind of cartoon character I highly recommend ToonMe and the other app you download it’s gonna make you pay ToonMe gives you over 15 choices and I am so in love with it thank you so much for making ToonMe I am certainly a very happy customer🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️

ToonMe is really great, for a few reasons. One, you don’t have to pay, unless you buy the pro version, which has the same basic stuff. Two, the pictures don’t require perfect lighting, or anything like that. Three, it doesn’t have any ads unless you click on the ads that come up. And four, most of the filters give you a different background, so you don’t have to download another app to get the background changed. One thing that I would change though, is some of the filters are the same, but it uses another persons picture. Other than that it is free, and great!

Hey so toon me is a great app and I love its features but there are some things that I would really love the creators to change. One thing is that for the animation that looks like Disney animation is that it keeps getting my eyes wrong my eyes are dark brown and it gives me light blue lol. And also in some of the ones I took of my dad it made his face look very big😔. It’s like u have to have perfect makeup and lighting for it to capture all of ur features. I hope this can be changed over time. I am only 12 and I can’t get social media with filters so my parents let me get this!😁 But overall I love those other filters and they make the experience so much better. Love what I can do but I dislike how many things you have to pay for. I don't like getting the constant reminder to pay a whopping amount of money each month just to cartoon a picture. Also, the options are not wide, and what if I just want to cartoon a pic? Then what? It's not an option. It only let's you choose from a very little amount of backgrounds and shapes. Most of them are comparing the old pic to the new one. It's highly annoying. I recommend if it's a one time thing, but it's annoying. Don't waste your time and money. Ugh.

It’s free you only have to pay if you want to but you still get to do unlimited photos to turn cartoon the only reason I would not give it five stars is because you can not cartoon two people at the same time and it blurs out all the stuff in the background and I wish it could turn all. The little stuff in the background cartoon to have that cute little detail and have someone else in the picture also it doesn’t cartoon animals but that it’s overall it’s pretty great 👍

I’m having so much fun with ToonMe! It’s pretty cool turning regular pics into cartoons, but ToonMe has a difficult time picking up darker skin. I have to “lighten” some of my pics before it will convert. Something your software people might want to fix.

This is a great app but I think it could use some more things
I think it would be a better app if you could do animals and you could do a group picture and it would be better with more options in the beginning step one is choose a style I think there should be more options there but otherwise it is great

This is a nice little app that renders lovely ‘photo magic’ to properly exposed portraits. It is very entertaining, not glitchy at all as far as I can tell; very, very nice. Another great feature is that there are NO ADS to interrupt or drive you crazy. I think it needs some fine tuning, but it is new, and based on the way it works right now, I am very confident that it will only improve in the future. I highly recommend ToonMe.

I've used ToonMe for only 2 minutes and I already love it but I've noticed a few things that I think need updated. The hair for one. It may just be because my hair is kind of straight but whenever I take a picture, my hair just turns into a brown and pink blob. The only other thing is that I would really love it if you could import screenshots to cartoonify!

Other than that, really good app! Would recommend. A 4.5/5.

This game is so cool and fun! It always works and I love how not every. Single. Thing. Is pro like some games. It’s not a ripoff at all (also like some other games) You should definitely download this it’s really fun!

But every game has pros and cons.🙃

It works!
You can put cool filters and backgrounds on it!
Even though some of it costs money, there’s still a lot of awesome free stuff!
Overall, it’s awesome! 😎

Cons:

A lot of good stuff costs money.
You can only do people (not animals)
Sometimes messes stuff up and makes it look REALLY weird 🤨
Theres no simple filter (without a blurred background or something.)

This is the best most responsibly priced toon program out there. $9.99 a year, you can’t do better. Unlike what some of the other reviews say, you can indeed have multiple people in your picture and animals as well. You simply have to follow the tutorial and use the correct tools. Good luck!!! I’m very happy and my favorite so far is my dog and I!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I like ToonMe . However, it is not clear what the difference is between the paid and the free version unless I overlooked the information. Also, could not find the terms of use with the information provided in the description. Is there anyway to get rid of the watermark?

You must have ToonMe because it is amazing and cartoons and you can do half-and-half but you can't take any group photos or or any kind of pet but yeah it's an amazing app and it's kind of fun because you get to see everyone in cartoon and I think you should download ToonMe this is amazing and it's all free

ToonMe is great but there should be some improvements like whenever you first get on it shows you little tips but it gets annoying when you have to go through all the tips again and again

So I love ToonMe for a year I been looking for a cartoon app the ones I found are free trail or you have to do it yourself but if you don’t like it but you still want a cartoon app you can do free trail or Dollify I love that app too. I downloaded less than 24 hours ago and have not been able to cartoon my picture. Tried again before writing this post and nothing, just a white screen. Not feeling this so far. I’m feeling like I wasted my time.
