Cappuccino is so unique and I really love recording them with my friends! I've been enjoying it for a few weeks now but the most recent update completely changed the look of it. I really don't like how the beans are separated into individual ones and you have to swipe through to listen to each one. It's overwhelming and inconvenient, since I can't tell which ones I've listened to already. I wish there was a date and timestamp for each one so I can know which ones are another day and the estimate length of the this app today. I also wish there was a rewind option just to go a few seconds back.

Is there a way to turn off the vibrations when we receive cappuccinos? I understand the concept that it’s trying to mimic the sound and feeling of grinding beans and making coffee but it’s extremely unsettling. The sound and vibrations last way too long. I can’t seem to find the settings to allow me to disable this feature. I don’t want to experience it everyday! It honestly makes me dread opening up Cappuccino . I close it to stop the vibrations but it doesn’t stop when I open it back up.

I’m enjoying the concept so far to stay connected with my friends, but I wish I could respond to their beans with comments as well instead of only replying with recorded beans.

I wish this was more of a podcast in the true sense of the word. Like if we could be online together and record a bean together that would be so cute. Like responding to a prompt together or just talk. I also wish we could save the beans. I don’t want to lose them. Like if we could choose which we want to keep in an archive or something that would be really helpful.
Another thing would be I wish i could change the music or get rid of it. Sometimes it doesn’t really match what we’re talking about or feeling.

It’s a cute app but I wish it was more customizable to what we want it to be for.

Such a fun app but every time we share with new friends, we have to over-explain since it’s a little hard to follow when there’s too many prompts. Sometimes someone responds to a prompt late, meanwhile the others are already on the next prompt. If you listen to each bean card in order, it’s like 5 diff conversations that’s all over the place. It’s hard to follow which bean someone is responding to because it’s in a random order. It’d be great if the bean cards flow better almost like a conversation, that way it seems continuous? What if there’s an option to have multiple stacks of card beans for each group? So one stack for each prompt almost like a folder. You can choose which prompt/stack to respond to. That way it’s more organized and you know what the theme of the conversation is in that stack. Otherwise, such a good app!! Excited to see how Cappuccino progresses 🙏🙏

I. AM. IN. LOVE. It’s official! Me and my friends have had such a blast on Cappuccino! We’ve been able to laugh at each other’s answers and even get to know each other even better. The only thing I could possibly want is I would love if the group creator could select the time that their daily this app would be ready! I always wished I could make the time 7am instead of 8 so that I could listen to our podcast while I’m getting ready for school! But alas, I have to wait until school is over 😢. I think that would be a nice feature to have. But other than that I love love love the functionality and fun Cappuccino has to offer. Kudos to all of you! ❤️ ❤️

First review ever but just wanted to say I’m really enjoying Cappuccino so far. There’s no lag and I like the music added automatically that gives the more podcast feel. I just wish that you didn’t have to manually unlock “beans” (what the individual audio messages are named) and they would play automatically. Also if there was a way to condense all the beans in a group chat to keep things more organized I read that this was already implemented in a previous update but removed in a later one.

This is a great well-made app especially since it’s new. However, when I got Cappuccino I thought I was going to be able to make actual podcast with friends being on the same recording as me. But since it isn’t that way I think it would be awesome to have it where you can have unlimited minutes to record and make a group podcast where you can go back and listen to it. I really like how the music plays in the background of the podcast, makes it seem very professional!

I loooooove Cappuccino. Cute idea, amazing sound quality, and really brings people together. It sounds like a real podcast! My only complaint is that the cappuccinos are released too late. My friends and I are all already at work by 8am, meaning we have to wait a whole additional work day before getting to hear our friends reports from the day before! It would be much better if it was released between 6:30-7am so that we could listen while getting ready for the day or driving to work. 8am is just too late!

Me and my high school friends use this to connect with each other despite the long distance between us. It’s very enjoyable since we talk about mundane things that seem kind of boring to send a text about but easy to talk about. One thing I would love for Cappuccino to include is a comment section for each podcast since I don’t want to make a new voice memo for them to hear the next day about a small question or reaction I had. But otherwise, love Cappuccino !

Hello! Me and my group of friends as well as my boyfriend love using Cappuccino because we lead very busy lives and it offers a fun way to connect, catch-up with, and talk to each other whenever we get the chance. The only thing I would change/add would be to have at least 10 minutes (or better yet - unlimited time) to talk because with three minutes you either have to give a broad quick summary of what you’re talking about or send multiple “beans” in a row and spam your group-members notifications. That’s all, thank you!

I love Cappuccino so far, I love the concept! I’m moving away from my friends so this is a wonderful idea to keep in touch in a cute way, and we’re already making use of it!! I think a few suggestions other people mentioned (allowing more customization for when Capps. Are ready even though you can technically unlock it whenever, allowing you to choose theme music or even upload your own theme music, and lengthening the time) would take Cappuccino to the top. Overall it’s been fun, more customization would make it amazing!

so Cappuccino is so fun and i love using it (the music that is automatically played at the beginning and end of the podcast is the BEST) but i would love it if you could customize it a little more and have longer shows as well. Also, i would love if we could change the time because 8 am is too late for me and my friends because we go to school at 6 am and we would love to listen to our podcasts at that time. also, i would love it if we were able to record with other people as well and save it in a folder. i would love that. overall, great app!

So much fun to catch up with friends. Would love to see who listened to my recordings from the page with all the recordings, we could react to recordings if nothing to respond, and should be able to respond to multiple recordings at once, e.g. 2 recordings of the same prompt. The other suggestions with adjusting time etc. sound great too. Overall a great idea and LOVEEE the UI!!! Also, would like to add group picture to the group so when listening to the this app on lock screen, it’s like an actual podcast.

I love Cappuccino and have been using it for a few friend groups! It’s a great low effort way to stay connected when everyone is busy and in different places. Some suggestions for additional features: I would love if there was a simple chat so that you could reply to friends’ beans in the morning and address something they said. I also would like to be able to archive beans (similar to Snapchat maybe, where you can choose to save a bean so that it won’t disappear forever, and the other person can see it too?). Overall though, love Cappuccino !

When the pandemic started my high school and college friends and I started a book club where we connected each week on zoom - truthfully most of our discussions were about our personal lives than the content of the book! We have been using this app for a few months now and every day our friend post cast is usually around 30-60mins - and it is such a wonderful way to stay in touch and hear everyone’s voices! We love Cappuccino!!!

Cappuccino is great! It’s helped me talk more and grow closer to my friends. I love that there’s no ads as well, I really appreciate it! If you have a donation page I’d love to send you a tip so that you can keep Cappuccino ad-free.

I know the development team is probably small, but if it’s not too much trouble I’d love the ability to maybe add sound effects in future updates! Or some basic editing capabilities, where you can trim your bean and re-record if you mess up halfway through.

I’m someone who loves sleep and usually hates to wake up in the morning but now I look forward to it! Hearing my friends voices is the best way to start the day, especially during a pandemic where we are so isolated. Thanks for the great app!

Edited this review after a few months. This is one of my favorite apps! I’ve been using it for months and it has been a lovely way to keep up with friends. Every little update makes it smoother and better.

I love Cappuccino so much! I started a group as a continuation of a group on Facebook called “Not Wasting My Twenties” and people seem to love the concept (myself included!). However, there are some things that would be great to improve on. Firstly, and maybe this is just me still learning about Cappuccino , why is it so hard to find groups and request to join? This limits the user greatly. Second, I would like to be able to choose the music that goes in the podcast just like I am able to choose a title picture. Third, I would like to be able to delete a bean if I want to. Otherwise, I really enjoy Cappuccino!

I’ve been using this app with two different friend groups for the last few weeks and it’s been incredible to see how much it has brought us together. Cheesy to say, but it’s true. The beautifully simple UI is non-addictive and allows people to connect with very minimal effort. I originally thought there would be a novelty effect, but my friends have been highly engaged this whole time. True testament to the product. Thanks!

my best friends and i graduated college in May 2020 and we were all separated because of the pandemic. We still stay in touch of course but one of them discovered Cappuccino on tik tok! this app is such an amazing app for my best friends and i to stay connected but in such a fun way! Love waking up by listening to what my friends the night before and continue/start a new convo. 20/10 recommend for anyone including long distance friends!

Cappuccino is so cute and a great idea to stay in touch with friends and family, especially when everyone is so busy. Plus, now during COVID times, i haven’t seen lots of friend for a long time so it’s a nice way to stay in touch daily. The only thing I wish is that you could skip forward and backward in the recording. And that it will send you a little reminder about whether or not you have sent a bean that day! Other than that, it’s great!!

this app has allowed my closest friends and I to stay in touch during the pandemic. We are all in different states now, and hearing their day-to-day happenings through “beans” has been instrumental in us staying in touch on a deeper level than just occasional calls. Cappuccino is fun, easy to understand, and well-designed. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a way to stay in touch with good friends!

I am using Cappuccino everyday to connect with my friends and I love it! It’s more intuitive and natural to send vocal messages with this app, and is a great alternative to text/sms. I feel you can share your thoughts more easily this way and it makes me want to connect with my friends even more today. I can even make my friends listen to my dog’s barking, thanks this app!

LOVE IT. Listening to my friends voice in the morning with awesome coffee shop music in the background was the best way to start the day, esp during this plague lock down! I use Cappuccino with friends I talk to everyday and friends I should talk to more often - its been an amazing way to keep in touch with my friends and talk about stuff I wouldn’t otherwise on chat apps!

I just wanted to say how awesome Cappuccino is especially during these times. My college friends and I have been creating cappuccinos every day for the past month. It sure has been so nice to catch up with them since it’s been four years since we graduated and now are spread throughout the US. I love starting my mornings with Cappuccino.

Absolutely love Cappuccino. Hands down my favorite new app in years. This has been a wonderful way to connect with my good friends and family and everyone I’ve shared it with has felt the same.

I’ve got two main groups: one group of six long time friends, and one group of six first cousins. We’ve loved it.

The best thing about this? Quiet voices are heard just as readily as the loud mouths. No one can get interrupted. Are you super sick of zoom happy hours??? Everyone trying to talk at the same time? Download Cappuccino! It’s a breath of fresh air.

Are you tired of social media? Or maybe you still love social media (not me). Cappuccino is fantastic.

this app is a refreshing way to communicate and a really great way to stay connected with friends or family you don’t live close to anymore. I hear great updates and stories from my friends that are all the more meaningful because we hear each other’s voices. What a lovely app and so much fun!

One of the few apps that actually makes me happier. Stopped posting on Facebook and Instagram awhile ago, but post here because it feels like I’m giving my friends a little “gift” everyday. Can’t stop recommending.

I like the idea of connecting with your friends through daily vlogs. Its a really cool way to keep updated on the little things in each others lives. App is easy to use 10/10 would recommend.

You record daily audio messages with a group of friends and get to listen to them “mixed” together the next day. Been using with my college friends for a month and it’s a daily delight!

Awesome way to stay in touch with your friends & family. Unlike texting, recording makes it easy to have meaningful discussion and feel close. It makes me smile everyday!!
