The customization is great and the graphics are nice to look at, but the controls are absolutely horrible. The buttons are incredibly hard to push, half the time you miss them completely and the dodges are only based on luck, not timing or skill. If you could actually make it so we could see a jab or hit coming beforehand so that we could have a way to dodge it, that’d be great. But you don’t. Half the time you’re left tapping the dodge button 50 times so that you don’t get hit (but you still do).
The stun time is too short as well. Your opponents eyes widen so that you know when to do a big hit, but by the time you process that you need to big hit them, they’ve already dodged it. So you’re better off by just spanning the dodge and jab randomly in hopes of maybe getting a good scorers decision when the match ends.
There plenty more about the gameplay that is bad, but I’ve already wasted 10 minutes on this review that no one is going to read.
This could be a good game, but the gameplay is easily some of the worst I’ve ever seen.

Overall, great concept for a game. Coming from an era of Mike Tyson’s Punchout, I was expecting the same style of mechanics, but with the twist of upgrades and PVP elements.
The complexity of each fight takes away from the retro/simplistic feel of this game. There are 4 buttons for hitting, and 4 for moving forwards/backwards to move closer or away from the opponent, plus left/right dodge, and two buttons to block. This brings the total button interface to 10. On a phone, there’s more buttons than screen.
On top of that, in order to perform certain moves, you need to press combinations to do so, or in some instances, long press to perform power attacks. While you’re busy trying to figure out what buttons to press, you’re also trying to determine what your opponent is doing.
They’ve made this game far too complicated in the PVE element. I think this layout works for PvP because of the lack of AI.
I would recommend keeping it simple for the standard campaign, left and right to dodge, up to block up (press no button to block lower) and down to duck. Two buttons to hit (left or right side) with holding up to strike the face. Hold for power attack. The controls need to be simplified.

Ok here listen when I first got this game I was like “i can’t wait I wanna see if the game was just like the original”so I booted up the game and started my character I could not win like everytime I try to win I end up either not making it or getting knocked out see here’s the thing I expected it to be like the original fun can be Challenging but you can still win whenever I try to Ko someone I can the punches are to weak and that’s the problem with this game you need to make it like the original they changed the game way to much cause listen you almost can’t run out of stamina you have so much Health and all the punches are straight up weak I literally went to the highest strength and that did literally nothing I’m sad cause I expected this to be good so devs make more like the original we’re you can actually know people out
