Played this game for 3 days. ONCE a day for 3 days, so total playing time is about 45 minutes, most of which was reading whatever Carl had to say. You lose energy even if you succeed in passing a level. You only get 60 energy to start with and the replenishment time was long enough that I didn’t bother returning to the game until the next day. It starts you on shadow hunts right off so you have not seen the item before hand and while some are obvious some are completely ambiguous. The search for pairs…find 2 lanterns at the same time but they will be different lanterns, NOT identical. Enjoyed the decorating aspect and I believe I would have enjoyed the story line as well but with 60 energy, using 10 per scene pass or fail, 2 minutes per scene your max play time is 12 minutes not including reading dialogue and decorating. Most scenes you will accomplish in less than a minute. I download games to play them not to play for 10 minutes then wait hours on energy replenishment to play again. To the game developers: please don’t bother with telling me the ways I can earn extra free energy. I don’t care for downloading other games I’m not interested in and other tactics to increase your total downloads etc. Great graphics, possibly a good storyline, just don’t care to crawl my way through. Not nearly engaging enough.

I really enjoyed the game when I could relax and play it casually. I enjoyed the story line and looked forward to seeing where it would go next. I didn’t even mind that I had to wait for energy to recharge to continue. It made it a treat to look forward to the next session. BUT ***spoiler alert*** after the storyline eventually reveals what has become of Mr. Burke, the following storylines become stupid. (You keep running into illogical scenarios that could easily be resolved just by contacting him and asking for help! We know where he is! Grrr!) Convoluted storyline aside, as you continue playing, it is the mechanics of the game that change it from a challenging, fun object search puzzle game to extremely infuriating, “I want to throw my device across the room and never play it again” situation. Believe me, I have given it many chances. I have paid real money to buy the special passes during events and for coins to buy more tools. But it just isn’t fun anymore. I am tired of repeating the same level 20 times or more. And the latest event, “Winter Dreams” lost it’s appeal by level 4. Sorry Santa. Someone else will have to save you. I think I am officially done with this one. I’m willing to sacrifice the over 23,000 coins I have still to use. Congratulate your developers for taking a great concept and turning it into a impossible waste of my time.

This was almost a perfect game but I much more prefer something that I can play for longer than ten minutes at a time. I really don’t understand how y’all expect to keep people playing at that rate! I realize it’s a money making technique but when you’re pushed so hard and it’s so obvious that you’re being pushed to spend money then it completely turns you off of a game. At the very least you shouldn’t loose energy unless you loose the round…that’s just good ole common sense! Yes I’ve read your tips for getting more energy and it doesn’t help most people at all. I have over a thousand friends on Facebook and I’m literally the only person who plays this game! If I get a friend to try it then they quickly uninstall it because of the not getting to play for more than ten minutes at a time! I wouldn’t mind spending a little money if it wasn’t made to be necessary in order to play long enough to be fun instead of frustrating! I play to relax not to be annoyed beyond belief! Life in general does that enough for most adults! There’s to many other games that I can play much longer and for less or no money and I will enjoy it just as much if not more. I’m sorry but if you want me (and many others) to play this game then give me (us) a reason to and adequate time to do so otherwise it’s just not fun anymore
