Mario does not read barcodes anymore. Just colors.

Lego mario will turn on and can recognize colours but won't read barcodes. Have cleaned sensor

Same here: have two sets and one of them stopped reading barcodes. The strangest thing is that if do a reset/update, it starts to read those codes but only does it for 1 or 2 times. Very dissapointing, Lego.

I have been playing with Mario that I got for my birthday for just one day and now he won’t turn on, tried different sets of batteries, no luck

Worked fine, now Mario doesn't read barcodes? Tried reinstalling update and batteries. What stinks is I'm already a few hundred dollars deep in this. Please don't tell me I'm going to have to buy 2, starter kits? His birthdays in 2, weeks and I've already bought a couple hundred dollars more in expansion sets? Now Mario can't read Barcodes? Bought Bowser set and was missing a 2,bricks too. So now browser has no finger nails lol. This Barcode thing stinks though.. Thank you!

We purchased 2 Lego Marios for our 2 children (to avoid fighting- 3 and 5 years old), one of them works great and the other doesn't even sense color, only senses motion. We then got a 3rd Lego Mario to try and curb the fighting, and that only senses color, doesn't read barcodes. Therefore we have 2 dysfunctional Lego Marios, which has caused a LOT of fighting in our house. With all the time we spent trying to get them to work, and all the grief my children have given me, its hard for me to recommend this product.

Mario only recognizes colors but isn't recognizing the barcodes. I have done resets on him and updated the firmware, and yet still has the same problem. Please help!

My Mario toy is not reading the barcode. Can you tell me what should I do please.

We just got this on Sunday. Mario worked fine until today. He just won't turn on and we changed the batteries plus tried the reset protocol. He just won't come alive.

Mario does not register any bar codes. We ran a re-set and changed the batteries. Otherwise Mario works properly, but without reading the bar codes, none of the tracks/levels are functional.

Lego Mario does not recognize the Power Up packs, it happens with Builder Mario and Fire Mario suits. Tried factory reset, firmware upgrade, change batteries, reset in the app, using a different mobile, nothing works. Please help!

my lego mario keeps having bluetooth errors

issue reading the barcodes. This totally ruins the whole point of the fun

Lego Mario will no longer turn on using the power button, fresh batteries have been installed and unit will still not turn on. Lego Mario has only had 2 weeks of light use and has been updated as per App.

After bluetooth pairing Mario and clicking Start button app crashes. Black display for 6-7 seconds and then tablet device informs me on app crash. Very dissapointing. Tried on Samsung Galaxy Tab and 2 different android smartphones not older then one year.

The app keeps crashing when pressing on start. Hasn’t even worked once!!!! Have tried it with iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 8 Plus and iPad Pro! Horrible and disappointing!!!!

After 5 hours of trying to update mario I've given up, just dosn't work very disappointed

Mario is no longer reading barcodes. Only a month old. Have tried cleaning the sensor and updating with no luck. What do we do now?

Will not turn on we have tried 3 sets of brand new batteries and still nothing great for a kids favorite gift on christmas just afraid I'm going to get a run around resolving this hopefully I will get sent a new mario

Hello. Our daughter just opened the starter set for Christmas. It was her favourite of all her presents. We put batteries in Mario and he turned on. Now, 30 minutes later, he won’t turn on at all. We’ve swapped in 3 sets of brand new triple A batteries - a faint buzzing noise is heard from his speaker when powering on (and can’t be turned off while the batteries are in), but the screen will not respond. We did not connect Mario to Bluetooth and now can’t as he won’t respond. Have searched high and low online but this seems like a hardware defect. Pretty sad kid and parents over here.. please contact me to resolve..

Only once it has been turned on, but since it wont work. The figure is not turning on, despite changing batteries. Very disappointing at Christmas...

My sons Lego Mario (that he received for his birthday in September) has started acting funny. It reads what color he’s standing on but it no longer reads barcodes. We’re trying to figure out what to do considering his Christmas gifts are mostly expansion packs!

After changing batteries, yes I confirmed they are incorrectly, Marionwill not turn on. This set of only a few weeks old. Can we get a replacement Mario?

Mario's eyes have a tired expression when he's in lava. When he gets multiple coins from the mystery block, he has X eyes. The same thing happens when he's on a pokey bar code. When he should have dizzy eyes, he has smiling eyes.

Lego Mario’s expressions are mixed up. Started when I updated him and now for example if he goes on lava instead of having X eyes, he has the tired expression. He also has X eyes when bouncing on a Goomba. Minor Inconveniences but still.

Whenever i scan the toad, toadette, and yoshi his eyes are X's, not hearts. and his 'oof' eyes are the n shaped eyes. what is going on?????

Having problems with the lego super mario app. When uploading instructions to build expansion kits it crashes. It has done it with lego 71364 kit and 71365. It will not load instructions at all. We have reset IPad, taken program off and re-added, removed programs to give plenty of space and no updates needed.

Super mario worked for one day. Now it doesnt scan any of the bar code things. Only recognizes colors.

My Mario use to scan and collect coins etc. now all that appears on his chest is the Bluetooth symbol and he won’t do anything else. Tried to update him in the app and no luck! Please help! My little boy loves this thing!

Purchased a set for my son. One of the pieces looks like a clock. Watching the building video on the app the piece makes a very distinct wind. However when we put his Mario over it I just get an error style nose with an exclamation point show up on the Mario chest
