Don’t fix what’s not broken.

I have been reading Today In The Word for more than 20 years. TodayintheWordDevotional is good in so many ways, but the updates that were recently done are not enjoyable at all. There is just one other thing I’d like to see changed as of now. I’d like to be able to copy parts of it to use for messages I create to send to my family. I have to leave TodayintheWordDevotional , go to Moody’s online site and then copy sections to use.
I surely hope this can be done, as it’s my favorite devotional of all time and would save me much time on my phone, when I don’t receive my devotional in the mail.
Thank you so much,
Lorraine Grasso

Excellent Devotionals but some app glitches

I absolutely love how TodayintheWordDevotional is set up. I enjoy the Scripture link each day with the devotional and the ability to take notes. TodayintheWordDevotional unfortunately has some glitches for me. Somehow l can’t access the devotions for February 1-4. I was only able to start the month of February on the 5th. The calendar view won’t let me go back and the devotional view from January 31st won’t let me go forward and from February 5th won’t let me go backwards. I’d love to access those missing days because this is the best devotional app I’ve ever found.

The best daily devotional I have encountered.

I have been reading this devotional the past 3 years and have found nothing that comes close out there. Each day it’s written in such a way that is not only full of wisdom and truth that I feel God is directly guiding me, but I learn so much about how those in the Bible who have come before us have lived. Their problems, doubts and worries have come alive to me. And isn’t that what it’s all about? We Christians sometimes think we are unique in what we face in this world, these times and situations are too different from biblical times. But, even as our Lord has knitted us to be unique, the problems we face as humans are no different; just the time in history. Today in the Word shines a light, God’s light and wisdom for all of us. Thank you Moody Bible Institute that your writers seek God’s spirit each day before they sit down and write these. What wisdom, insight, strength and encouragement we are provided with each day. May God continue to bless the work they have been entrusted to do.

God’s word will forever remain relevant

I read this each morning and pray. If I forget to read it, I go back to the day I miss. I thank all the moody bible teachers who take time out of their busy schedules to decipher the Books of the Bible and present it in a way that is understandable to modern day readers like myself.
Today in the word is food for the soul and no one should leave their home before first reading it daily and incorporating it with daily prayer. Once again, thanks to all of the moody teachers.

Everyday

Today in the Word is part of my every morning. It is a wonderful way to hear and be able to understand the scripture. The explanations and examples used are relevant and easy to comprehend while staying true to the Gospel. I thank God for folks who know the Bible and can teach it. I also appreciate the non commercial and the fact you aren’t trying to sell anything. Thank you!

Top rate daily devotional

I’ve appreciated this devotional for many years now. I didn’t start using it daily until two years ago and now it’s a regular part of my more focused time with the Lord in the early mornings. I like hearing the audio as well as the layout of studying the current verses of the day.

Please thank the Moody Team as well as the professors who for put all this together for us.

We all need Jesus. Without Him we are lost.

I understand where Matthew coming from. “Who me? You want me to be one of your disciples? Oh that is amazing Jesus because no one wants to associated with me. I am a tax collector, a sinner. Thank you for saving me!” I believe that EVERYONE needs Jesus, but unless our pride is totally taken down and we admit we are in need of him we will not be able to see our need.

Thank you oh dear Jesus for laying down your life for me, for all.

Amen.

March study in Hebrews

It was PHENOMINAL! I try to get everyone I know on today in the Word! It is so tremendously important for Christians to be in the word of God, memorizing meditating and studying to show themselves approved to The Father! Unless that goes on there isn't sanctification, maturity and service (righteousness) going on! I don't know how God is going to handle that issue when we all get to Heaven but I'm positive He has it settled.

Love and pray for all you gals and guys! Keep up the great work!

Daily devotional

I read every night before sleeping and it’s my closing moment of prayer and meditation of God’s word. I’m grateful for TodayintheWordDevotional because it makes it easy for me to find my daily devotional, since sometimes I couldn’t find the hard copy. It’s great because the phone is more lit and allow me to read instantly and with easy.
I hope more people will take advantage of this great resource, May all be done for the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I enjoy the devotionals

I’m so happy that I downloaded TodayintheWordDevotional. It’s easy to navigate. I thoroughly enjoy the devotionals. Every month it’s a different person explaining God’s word. I love that I can read the text they’re discussing. I have been using TodayintheWordDevotional for three months now. I also like that if I skip a day, I can go back to the calendar and check which day I missed and it easily takes you to that day’s devotional. Highly recommend it.

Today in the Word and coffee

I start each morning with a devotional time. I use Today in the Word to start and then dig deeper with something else on my own. I appreciate they mix of Bible book and subject studies. For longer passages I use the read aloud option for the scriptures and for short passages I read it in my own. I also like the link to the monthly features found in the printed copy - President’s corner and Practical Theology. The option of listening or reading is pleasing too - I like to mix it up.

Refreshing

The subjects chosen for this devotional give hope, courage and stability. It is easy sometimes to lose sight of just how powerful God truly is and the fact that we have nothing to fear because He is in charge if we will let Him be. I start my morning with this devotional and it is truly uplifting! I really like that it has a place for “ notes” when I’m done reading. It allows me to reflect and journal on what I have just read. Thank you for making this available to all!

Start the day right

The secret to success is in your daily routine, I’ll read the devotional, and listen to moody radio, throughout the day, everyday. This helps keep me honest, hard working, and equipped to take on the devil in his playground here on earth. If I get busy and can’t sit down and read it I’ll listen to the devotional with my headphones during a workout, or in my car speakers. There’s really no excuse to not stay in the spirit, especially with all this technology, I love it. If your stuck on antisocial media watching the worldly debate between democrat and republican, give it a rest. By the way for all my white evangelicals, Jesus is not a European white person. He’s from the Middle East. Make sure all you white evangelicals pray to the right one, not the alt right, all white Jesus that most fake Christian’s who don’t know suffering, pray too!

Kindness

Being Kind creates a beautiful life! Thank you Jesus for teaching me how and why we all need to be kind. When I’m kind to anyone they are kind to me. As far as I’m concerned that creates the best life ever! I truly believe that being kind teaches others how to be kind as well. This day and age I see a lot of upset and mad people however with my kindness it takes them out of that and they’re kind right back. I always try help people as well. Helping others makes me sooo grateful, it gives me peace and joy in the name of Jesus! Amen 🙏

Thank you!

Thank you for TodayintheWordDevotional. It is a big blessing in my life. The daily devotions are enriching my life daily . It is my personal Bible study in the mornings. I am going closer to God each day by doing my devotions each morning before I start the day. Thank you for this Bible study each day. It is a big blessing in my life and it keeps me reading the word of God daily in the name of Jesus. Thank you for all that you do. Please continue to share this word with each of us through TodayintheWordDevotional each day, in the name of Jesus. God bless you in all that you do in Jesus name amen.

So helpful!

Reading the Scripture and devotional in Today in the Word has been a daily practice of mine for years and I am so grateful for it! It provides a great start to my day because even though it doesn’t take a lot of time, I’m inspired and encouraged. It’s a concise “kick start” to my day and helps me to focus on my relationship with the Lord before I become too distracted by all the responsibilities and demands of my day. It’s a concise study, but packed full of God’s truth and provides much to meditate on as the day unfolds and often leads to further Bible study as more time becomes available later in the day. The prayer at the end of each devotional always provides such good direction for me, too.

Excellent

I just started using TodayintheWordDevotional. First, TodayintheWordDevotional itself is well done. I am using it on my iPad and it is both aesthetic and functional. Easy to use. The devotional content is very good. The devotions are like mini-sermons because of their depth. I like that everything I need is contained within TodayintheWordDevotional . The Bible itself is embedded within TodayintheWordDevotional . It has audio for both the devotion and all of the Bible. It has good questions and allows for me to keep notes on everything I learn. I have gone into the Go Deeper section and opened the PDF for the month of June and then saved it to Books on my iPad. It is nice to see everything for the month and I like to go back and highlight portions that stand out to me.

Back To Basics

My devotional life at 68 was waning. Retirement, 3 years ago was a shock I was unprepared for. As a man, I defined myself by what I did. Now I was like a lost child! Part of my “settling “ was reminiscing in the past. I recalled receiving in the mail: Today in The Word from Moody Bible Institute. Each month was a study of a book of the Bible. I grew so much in my faith with this process! But at some point I was distracted by “fluff” devotional booklet’s. Recently I stumbled on Today in The Word , on line. I signed up and have been receiving them daily, restoring my relationship with Old Friends…I say Friends because becoming re familiar with Today in The Word has re ignited my relationship with The Trinity thru THE WORD. Thanks for the blessings, the familiar blessing!

Read or Listen; take notes; track progress; Bible Access!

Great way to begin the day in God’s word with a focused devotion that studies a theme or book of the Bible each month. You can go back and listen to the ones you missed or hear/read it a second time and look up scripture verses right from TodayintheWordDevotional ! You can even take notes on your favorite parts and they are stored on TodayintheWordDevotional ! I can look back over several years and re-listen to past Devotionals when someone is going through a rough time and I want to encourage them. I Will remember that study on hope or facing fear, or trusting God. I love the calendar option with check marks to keep me accountable. Thank you Moody Bible Institute Faculty for your deep, sound, biblical teaching with practical application!

Perfect for my soul

I love reading these devotions they are so uplifting and perfect for my soul. I can relate to all of them in so many ways and share them with people who need to read the gospel truth. It is so refreshing to have an app like this on my phone to be able to read it everyday and say the prayers afterwards. God bless you for having such a wonderful and inspiring message such as this on TodayintheWordDevotional.
