Word Among Us Mass Edition Reviews

A lifelong Catholic, though I regularly attended Sunday Mass, I had spent little time reading and studying scripture. Started attending daily Mass when my son was deployed for six months to the Middle East four years ago I began each day reading the day’s scripture and summary thoughts before the service. I continued this practice after he safely returned home still finding it a good way to focus as I start my day. He leaves again this spring; I ask you all to remember them as you start your own day.

Update: Thankfully, he and his squadron mates returned safely from this latest deployment. My morning reading of the day’s Mass scriptures and reflections continue to help guide me through the day.

With version 2.0 you changed what was a very readable view. Version 2.0 is awful, or worse if there is a way to grade it worse than awful. PLEASE PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!!! Also with the new version, even when I make the font size so small I need a magnifying glass, I am constantly scrolling up which distracts from the Mass. please change this version mess as it applies to the missalette view back!

OK. Old man with resistance to change. I found by going to “Mass” I get everything I need, and I’ve changed the font size so I love the new version.

I may be missing this somewhere in settings, but it is really frustrating that I am required to have an internet connection to access anything on WordAmongUsMassEdition. I’ve read the FAQs and help files. No luck. All missals, etc. we’re removed from church due to COVID-19. I wanted to use this on an iPad to follow the readings and mass parts. Well... I don’t have internet in church. And of course I didn’t cancel in time... literally missed by one day. I was getting this on Kindle and I could download it in its entirety in that platform. I liked the layout of WordAmongUsMassEdition more than the kindle layout, but it didn’t occur to me that the content wouldn’t be downloaded and available offline.

The Church in its holy Wisdom gives us readings for each day from the Old and New Testaments. Reading scripture in this way helps us to see how the Old is fulfilled in the New. It also helps us to live liturgically with the Church calendar year. Word Among Us has beautiful and easy to understand reflections on the readings. They help you to better understand scripture and to grow in your faith. I like to read the readings before I go to Mass, and also to read daily readings when I do not attend daily Mass.

I started reading the daily Mass readings and meditations as a Lenten practice several years ago. Now the first thing I do after I get up in the morning is take time to continue to do this. It has enriched my prayer life and the readings fill in the blanks between Sunday Mass scripture. The meditations are always appropriate for my life! On the weekends I take time to read the monthly reflections, conversion stories and Saint stories. I love it. I still read the paper print version, but when I forget it or cannot find it,I know I can count on this handy App!

For us, this is the best way to read The Word Among Us everyday - so much so we cancelled our print subscription. Using WordAmongUsMassEdition , I can quickly locate and read the mass readings and corresponding meditation and launch into prayer everyday, from anywhere. It’s great that WordAmongUsMassEdition automatically downloads the latest daily readings in the background so that even if I don’t have a data connection at the moment, the readings are always there for me.

Wouldn’t know how to approach life every morning - its peaks and valleys - without my WAU to hold me up, make me bold in the face of opposition, offer new insights, and move through the many struggles of a given day with the goal of drawing nearer to my God. WAU has played a big role in my formation and understanding of using life’s little and big moments walking closer with and to my God. Thank all WAU family for their dedication and love of us all through WAU’s “custom reach” to each one. A very merry Christmas to all.

I use this daily for meditation and daily Mass. WordAmongUsMassEdition was especially useful during Covid when we could have no books in the pews. I could use WordAmongUsMassEdition on my phone to follow along during Mass. The text size was easily adjustable. Also, the meditations are very inspirational and a great way to start the day. So happy that app includes audible for the daily Mass readings which I use in morning meditation.

I will now give WordAmongUsMassEdition a glowing 5 star rating!! After having issues with WordAmongUsMassEdition they contacted me direct and worked with me to fix and update WordAmongUsMassEdition ! Fantastic app...fantastic customer service!

I downloaded WordAmongUsMassEdition to log in with my print subscription however when I go to open the open...it opens and crashes. I hope the developers fix the problem

The books are excellent, have a beautiful edition, excellent content and reflexions. The presentation is impeccable. WordAmongUsMassEdition helps evangelize people, specially the young adults. I travel a lot and have the entire book in my IPhone.
The Hispanic community in Florida is waiting for a Spanish version of WordAmongUsMassEdition for the I pads and smart phones...

5 Stars! It’s a wonderful way to get the daily Mass readings. I got the paper copy for years but this way is much easier for your prayer time. You can have it at your finger tips whenever you are ready to pray! I’d recommend WordAmongUsMassEdition for anyone.

Great way to start a day and strengthen my relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ. The meditations are so often that missing piece that helps you answer a question, a problem or concern in my life. There are days I read the meditation and say, Thank you Lord, you always know what I need. A long with the monthly themed articles The Word among us is the Holy Spirit at work!

I have been using the Mass booklets for MANY years. I read them before Mass, and, during Mass I am retaining the readings better. The Meditations/short homilies, are very relatable and informative. I give WAU to many friends who can benefit daily from being in the same Word as Catholics around the world are - collectively Worshipping with the Body of Christ around the world!

I’ve subscribed to The Word Among Us for well over 20 years now. In smooth times or in rough times, it has been such a comfort knowing I can read it each day and move closer to God in so many ways. What is especially valuable is the daily meditation GUIDANCE pertaining to the particular days reading or gospel.

I have been reading The Word Among Us (Mass) for over 4 years now. It is wonderful to reflect on the readings and antiphons every day. I also appreciate the thoughtful meditations which help me get closer to God. My husband is now reading TWAU every morning as well. As a retired couple we now have the time to discuss the Gospel and the readings as well. A great way to start our day!

I recently purchased this magazine - just in time - before we were hit with this very frightening “Stay at Home Coronavirus.” I have been enjoying daily Mass on EWTN. However, being able to read the wonderful articles and meditations in the magazine have been most helpful. Keep up the good work. Thank you so very much.

The Word Among Us app has helped me in immeasurable ways to stay connected to Jesus providing me a very easy one click opportunity to explore the Word made flesh following a well organized liturgical calendar and the meditations that follow each day’s liturgy! I just love WordAmongUsMassEdition and will recommend it any day for any Christian interested in a close walk with Him!

I started my two weeks trial yesterday and uploaded WordAmongUsMassEdition . But when I started to read the daily readings it showed that where were 3 pages, but when I turned to page 2 it just repeated page 1, and the same for page 3. Nothing I did could get it to work fine, including for future days. I then deleted WordAmongUsMassEdition and reloaded it - same issue. It does work on my iPhone but not the IPad, which is what I want to use. Please help or I will stop the subscription before the 2 weeks is up.

Every morning with my first cup of coffee, I read the Mass parts for the day and follow with the meditation. So many times I felt like it had been written especially for me and my circumstances at that time. My two sisters also enjoy WAU and we sometimes mention how a meditation has touched us.
I have your app on my iPad so I can bring you with me while traveling!

WAU has been the first part of each day for me for the past five years. My feet do not hit the floor until I’ve read the daily mass readings and contemplated the meditation. It has been and will continue to be my companion in my faith journey to deeper relationship with Jesus.

I was skeptical because in the past the content was a big wobbly. But, during Lent, I am enjoying the readings from the lectionary and the daily meditations. The other content is decent, too. And of course, there is the Mass content.

So far, no global warming or interfaith folderol.

The production values of WordAmongUsMassEdition ate high, and a faithful electronic version of the printed magazine. Easy to navigate.

The Word Among Us has great little short stories to help you in your spiritual growth in addition to the Mass readings. It also usually has a short story of a Saint that are inspirational. I especially get a lot out of the daily meditations that accompanies the daily readings. It is great way to start your day.

I have been reading the word amongst us for years. When WordAmongUsMassEdition became available it made my devotional prayers more assessable. I could pray any where.
