Golf Digest Magazine Reviews

Please someone come up with a path to read the content in landscape. Otherwise this is an exceptional app. I prefer the Landscape so I can switch between other apps and not have to adjust my screen and I also feel it reads better.

Let’s fix it

The content is great. Takes a bit to download an issue and the interface isn't intuitive, but it's not difficult to manage once you get the hang of it. Personally, I like the in mag video content. My biggest complaint is that it's not fully functional in landscape mode. When a video starts, it will rotate to landscape. When it print only, you're stuck in portrait. Not the way a lot of folks view an iPad. If they give landscape support for articles, I'd give it 5 stars. Until then, this is an average app.

For several years I received a subscription to Golf Digest [GD]. The one feature I enjoyed and used often was the “Swing Sequence” feature: the digital edition had a video view from the front, back and straight-on where you could move the swing and see the position(s) in the actual dynamic process of a featured pro swinging. An update was offered recently for the GD App and unfortunately my library of back issues, with my “Favorites” of Swing Sequences (Dustin, Bubba, Phil, Ernie, etc) was erased and that particular dynamic video feature was removed and re-formated into crappy still shots. My library was taken from me. I feel robbed and disappointed. GD GD!!

Overall this is a great app for reading GD on the go. However, a dark mode feature would be a wonderful addition to be easier on the eyes 👀

I got GolfDigestMagazine to see if I wanted to subscribe to Golf Digest. Unfortunately after a few frustrating days of trying to use it, I will not be subscribing. GolfDigestMagazine does not refresh, it only shows articles from weeks ago, and when you do try to read an article it doesn’t load. Would consider subscribing if GolfDigestMagazine was better, but right now I just can’t justify it.

I am a long-term print subscriber to golf digest who is supposed to have free access to GolfDigestMagazine on the iPhone or iPad. I have tried to sign in properly, and GolfDigestMagazine consistently says it does not recognize my email or password despite the fact I have checked it multiple times. There is no help number on GolfDigestMagazine , andI am seriously considering just canceling my subscription entirely.

Great magazine with many improvement tips from pros and teachers. Also info on latest equipment available. Further good stories on the touring pros both PGA and LPGA.

Downloads fine but while going through the pages, most can not scroll so you can’t read the content on iPad. Useless. This was true in both portrait and landscape mode.

Loving GolfDigestMagazine!!! It’s been great to read the content as the golf season takes shape!!! The look and feel is fresh and the design is easy to navigate!!!

Really like the content, but the lack of not being able to view this in Landscape and some of the other funky navigation brings my rating down.

I like Golf Digest on line, but do not like that many of the lessons have just become advertisements for lesson plans.

Content is good but I still haven’t figured out how to navigate from article to article. It would be nice to simply flip to the next page like a magazine would.

Nice to have the convenience of GolfDigestMagazine but the user interface on the iPhone 8 is poor. Articles/pages are regularly cut off air don’t scroll properly.

GolfDigestMagazine is great. Well designed, clean look, simple and clear navigation AND solid content!

After days of trying to upload content I have to conclude there’s problems with the Golf Digest program and not my device or connection. Hoping it gets fixed.

The gbest golf mag

I used to like this mag but now that they’ve gone to the “checked baggage fee” business model Golf Digest is nothing more than ads and back patting, chest thumping by the elite. If I wasn’t getting this rag for free I certainly wouldn’t be paying for it.

Seems new format version every time I open the application then have to download the issues I like to have offline

Hasn’t been updated in 2 years. Won’t even load now. Total waste if they won’t keep it up.

We are used to reading in Landscape. About time to provide it. I’m done with the print editions anyway. Make it so.

Really would be a nice app if it was in landscape view.

Been a long time subscriber to Golf Digest. Started using GolfDigestMagazine version when it first came out. Not normally given to write reviews, but I'm totally blown away by the negative reviews. I've never had a single problem with GolfDigestMagazine! This is by far a much superior way to get the most out of the magazine. I never even bother to look at the magazine version anymore. I only wish there was a cheaper option to subscribe to GolfDigestMagazine version only, since they could save money on printing and shipping. But to be honest, GolfDigestMagazine is worth every penny of the mag subscription. A very minor issue I have is that it is best to only download using wi-fi which can take about 30 minutes and you can't download in the background, meaning once you start the download you have to make sure your iPad doesn't auto power off and you can't use your iPad while its downloading otherwise the download will automatic pause until you tell it to resume downloading. But the 30 min wait is well worth it. Once downloaded every page, video and special feature works flawlessly every time.
