This game started off as an interesting adventure. There were bugs here and there that I could over look because I knew it was still being worked on. I’m now on the last available level at this moment and it has literally become impossible. I have two of the highest gear, second best gun, and I can’t even get past the first boss in sector 6. Not to mention because I’m playing the final level I’m not getting keys for chests. But what really put the nail in the coffin isn’t just the lack of ability to upgrade my character after level 50 or how I can’t fragments to upgrade my gun or even how when I die I can’t use the gems or watch an ad and the game just closes but when I somehow managed to make it to the second boss of sector 6 and I fell through the ground and died. I’m tired of this

Edited: I’ve come back a year later to see how the game has improved but it’s gone downhill. I have to change my review from 4 stars down to 2.

Frustrations:
-Max lvl used to be 50, and it’s still 50. I’m currently level 82 and the level up NPC, where you go to select your lvl-up stats, has an annoying notification bubble. But since max lvl is 50 he does nothing for me.
-The mythic guns that I collected and maxed out in stats a year ago are now useless. The new mythic guns have way better stats at lv5 than my gun (Magma) has at max level. Max level costs 400 gems for the last lvl btw.
-BULLET SPONGES. There isn’t a skill cap in progression of world levels. There’s a damage cap. So instead of enemies becoming more tricky to kill in the later worlds, they simply soak more bullets. Nobody likes bullet sponges. To beat them you HAVE to get one of the best guns (mythic rarity) and you have to max it out.
-In game randomization is really really bad. Like in survival mode after you beat a boss every so many levels, you get 3 capsules to pick from. Each cap has a positive and negative stat. Recently for example 1 of 3 caps had the same positive and negative stats as another of the 3. Example: cap 1 was +10% fire rate and -200hp, and cap 2 was 25% fire rate and -150hp. Like obviously I’m choosing the better one. Why even put them together to pick from??

You only control what direction your character moves in. Actually firing is done automatically which isn’t really a problem per se but it makes it feel so much more shallow. I don’t have to keep my eyes on my enemies, manage ammo, or plan out in a seconds notice which enemy to take out first. All of that is automated. Playing through it each level plays out the same: stand in one spot, move slightly left/right to dodge enemy attacks and wait for the game to play itself and clear the room for you. Lather rinse repeat. I got bored in just a few minutes.

Such a minor gameplay decision marred what could have otherwise been a really fun stylish shooter.
