Magic Color by Number－Painting Reviews

The ads on this are ridiculous, and claiming they need that many in order to keep it free? I play plenty of other free apps and the ads are never this obnoxious, I had 4 ads while doing one single puzzle, no one will want to play if it’s like that! I ended up purchasing the ad removal because I really liked the actual app and the ads are still going nonstop! I just came here to write a review and see that this has been happening to several people since the middle of November and they just say they are working on it...an issue like this should be fixed quickly! People should receive what they purchase!

I really like this game, but much like another review, I wouldn’t recommend buying the $5 to stop the ads. Because it doesn’t really get rid of the ads. The number is decreased, but a lot of random ads will still pop up. A small minority will still be unskippable, while others will just pop up but this time with the promise of some sort of “reward.” Over all, good app, but don’t waste your $5. You’re better off suffering through the ads.

I am really enjoying this game. The pictures are really well done and some can be really challenging... I would have given it 5 stars but I paid 4.99 to not have ads and while there is some less ads I think, I am still getting them. So don’t waste your money paying for no ads for this game, it’s a lie and they take your money and leave some ads in. If they change that then I will give it 5 stars but not until then.

I really love this game, but I think it would help everyone who plays this game if there could be a section for pictures that are in progress. So that if I am coloring a picture and I have to stop for whatever reason, and the picture isn’t complete. I could simply go to the "in progress" section and continue coloring. Rather than scrolling through each individual picture to see if it happens to be the one I didn’t finish.

I love this game. I bought the $4.99 pack for no ads and it works. Here are some things I would like to see:

-stat that shows how many total pages we’ve completed, amount completed per year, etc.
-average time we’ve spent on pictures
-more sections for coloring pages like book characters, movie characters, more animal and job related pictures
-would like to be able to sync with my other apple device. If I go to my iPad none of my progress is saved despite using the same apple account
-some very simple pages for toddlers, maybe with 5-10 max colors. This will help teach numbers

I start every morning colouring in MagicColor. There are so many beautiful pictures and the colours are rich and vibrant enough to please me. There is no lag while colouring for me. I’ve tried a lot of different colouring apps but this one is my favourite right now.

I paid the $5 for no ads, still got ads. Update reduced the number of ads, which is just not right for the price of “no ads”. Then another update introduced subscription options and almost all new pictures are subscription only. Having finished all of the others, MagicColor is basically useless now. I fully enjoyed coloring the pics but there aren’t enough new ones to keep it in rotation.

Purchased app on iPad to remove ads. Also installed it on iPhone 12 Pro Max. It will not recognize the purchase. I have tried a Restore. Nothing happens. I have done a repurchase and App Store says I have already purchased it and do I want to install it on the current device. I say yes and it just freezes on MagicColor purchase screen. Can find no way to contact Zimad through MagicColor . Hope to get their attention with poor rating.

I love MagicColor and started it for something to do to pass the time. This is day 2 and I’ve done at least 10! I like how it has a variety of colors, and how the numbers go past 70 to color.

I would give MagicColor five stars, if I could block all adds and promotions. I paid the 4.99 to block adds, but still get the adds or promotions. I want to put MagicColor on my sister’s Mac. She is in memory care and would get terribly confused by the pop ups.
Please someone hear my anguish. She has very little in her life. I would like to add this small enrichment. I would be glad to pay a monthly fee.

Magic Color is something to pass the time whilst waiting for the bus, but MagicColor has more bugs than Texas in July. Exceedingly slowto load, it crashes constantly & none of the tabs for specific categories work. As others have said, the ads are annoying & also cause MagicColor to crash. Don't wast your time with this crap app when there are so many other choices that are actually functional.

I’m really enjoying MagicColor and I’ve tried lots of color by number apps. I understand the need for ads but it’s frustrating when I have to watch 2 30 second ads in the middle of coloring a picture!

I love to color paint by numbers but I can only try for one day. I can’t afford to subscribe. Why can’t All the color ~ paint by number apps be free. I work in a hospital and at the end of the day the color ~paint by number really relax me.

MagicColor has some beautiful pictures to color, and a large variety to choose from.

I love the pictures & decided to pay so I could color them all, but $7.99/ week to run out of pictures to color & there aren’t even enough to finish events is ridiculous. There should be more to color when paying, especially if there’s an event going.

Please...
1. add the ability to choose colors. Colors move forward on their own now. Allow choosing to pick colors or not.

2. Provide a way to delete pictures out of the “in progress” area.

helps me relax and focus.. i have actually colored the WHOLE game like literally every category .. and now only can do daily puzzles. wish there were more!!

So relaxing; the pictures are fun to watch unfold as the colors fill in. I especially like the variety of pictures.

It’s annoying to be in the middle of a picture and then an add pops up! Ads should be after or before not while you’re working on one! 👎🏻 I just had 4 ads during a picture and I’m not even done with it! I am uninstalling now. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Received a response from developer. I understand ads are needed but 4 in the middle of doing a picture???

I would of loved to have given MagicColor a higher rating but hated how many puzzles displayed females, and this week I lost all the “color” in my completed puzzles! I deleted MagicColor , restored it but now show no completed puzzles. It’s on to another app that has more variety and not so many females in the pictures!

I like it so far but it’s super easy I hope it gets harder as I go.

I love color by numbers, but MagicColor is one of the worst ones for ad pop ups. I don’t mind an ad before and/or after a painting, but MagicColor has them pop up every 30 seconds to every minute while in the middle of a painting. Very annoying! Deleting app now.

Can you do previous week bonus puzzles? Would give a higher score if instructions were furnished.

I have paid to remove ads and it says purchase was accepted but it never goes through. I have tried 3 or 4 times with no success. I do like the puzzles. Could go to 5 stars if the ads ever stop.

I paid the “go ad free” fee and still get ads in the middle of games. So, what did I pay for? Not thrilled with that, but I do like this game.
