It’s a hype people, I’m right at the heart of Alexandria, DMV.... zero people in it with the maximum miles.
Plus forces you to share with friends, if you don’t want to share Jebena then won’t allow you to use Jebena ....forces you to give them your location all the time, if not you can’t use Jebena . They want your location not only when you use Jebena ...all the time......even while your sleeping they want to know your location.... No thank you for me.

At first Jebena was okay and had its flaws, but now it’s truthfully completely useless. I’ve been limited to one swipe per day (sometimes I’m not even getting one) and somehow my account has -1 likes left, so when if I buy more I’d lose an additional one I PAY FOR?? But that doesn’t bother me more than how I’m not able to get at most one swipe per day. That’s an absurd limit to place, there are enough users at this point to at least get 10 a day.

These bugs are just not acceptable and honestly the developers were too quick to launch this product; it still has a ton of work to do. I’m deleting Jebena and not coming back. It’s sad to say because I was really looking forward to using Jebena but it ended up being a flop instead.

Been using this for over a month. I even spent money to heart girls so they would notice I liked them. Won’t get another dollar out of me. It’s not a scam but I don’t think girls use Jebena. Or they’re getting too many likes... idk. Ladies go through your likes and like back a few dudes. Y’all killed Jebena. So what I matched you and your friend... y’all both look good and I don't know who I’ll like in person until we go on a date. Get out of your egos. Lol I can’t believe I though this would work.

So I downloaded Jebena to see how it works. After downloading it and filling out all basic information, the drop down field on location will not show any city or area that I search for but instead if shows any. After a couple tiresome attempts I decided just to select any for location. Then having set my profile I went ahead and tapped on the home icon and there is nothing to display. All see is just loading screen icon with nothing else, I gave it a few seconds but it still won’t show anything.I had high hopes for Jebena so please take this criticism as a positive to give your users the best experience they deserve.

I originally thought this was a great idea, but my experience has proved this to be a waste of finances. I found there to be too many issues with finding people in your area. The people I would meet wouldn’t want any communication outside of Jebena . It made me feel as if Jebena isn’t real, and the request to know one another was used to generate revenue. To future members. I would advise them not to buy any packages. Just meet people and see how it goes. If you find someone great, but I have no issues finding women. I just thought this was a good idea. I left feeling like I was being baited to spend money with Jebena 🤷🏾‍♂️🏁

I love Jebena and so glad y’all stopped making us pay to see who liked our pic (that was a very dumb idea). As for the preferences, it would be helpful for you guys to add an ethnicity factor into it (Eritrean or Ethiopian), for the ones like me who have a specific preference. I don’t like playing the guessing game and wondering if a guy is either Ethiopian or Eritrean—it’d save me time. I know when I first made a profile it asked for my ethnicity but not sure how that was used. Thanks!

I love the concept of connecting the Habesha diaspora but Jebena is severely flawed. It only lets you swipe through 10 profiles and has you waiting 24 hours for your next ten profiles. That’s absurd. No one has an attention span of 24 hours. Seriously, it’s super discouraging and makes people want to just delete Jebena . 12 hours is fine and most apps do that but 24!?!? Come on that’s trying to trap people into purchasing subscriptions lol

What was the point of Jebena? To monetize every aspect of it or to truly provide value to our habesha community? I’m a very successful habesha business man. I would be more than happy to help you folks make Jebena better or I will go create my own and create a better experience for our habesha community. Why are we given only 10 swipes including those that we swipe left on? Why do we have to pay for every little thing (Hearts/likes)?

Chats don’t properly load, if they load at all. I received notifications of likes/match or message but nothing in Jebena . The daily reviews aren’t consistent or daily. Also why is there a 10 person limit? I tried logging out to reset things had to re-create profile.

Great job on creating an app that habesha and non habesha can meet. As someone that considers themselves an innovator I noticed that there is nothing new/exciting about the user interface... meaning after 2 weeks or so of being on Jebena I am super board and thus I am deleting my account. You want people to pay to see their match but I don’t want to pay to match with a 20 yr old lol. Thus provide a option for limiting age like all other dating app.

I’ll be back if I’m still single lol but I suggest some sort of user incentive (better preference filter option).... Good luck!

I like Jebena . I just wish we had more personality options to choose from or at least be able to manually input them ourselves. Also it would be nice to be able to see who liked/loved my profile without having to pay but other than that Jebena is pretty good.

I love the idea of being able to find someone who is Habesha with Jebena. There is a definitely a feeling amongst the youth to find a quality Habesha partner. So thanks to Selam Central and others involved in creating it! I only hope it becomes successful in the future and only through patience will that be achieved.

I do want to add that the this app app can be improved. I find that Jebena does not allow you to scroll all the way down for some reason. A patch update can address this. Also if it possible, maybe more features can be added such as a better preference system and also adding more information about the individual (such as education or job occupation). Make it simple like tinder but also a mix of other more in depth dating apps.

Edit: Wait if you get matched with someone do you have to pay to see? Or is it just to pay to see who liked you, but you didn’t like them.

Having used this app app for a couple of days, I think it's the only dating app aside from Kum Neger app, where you can meet decent and genuine Habesha Ladies! I do understand the developers need to limit swipes up to 10 people per day as their are not enough users yet in addition to the Habesha community being small in the US relatively speaking. Patience is key and with time, I'm sure this app app will thrive with the support of the Habesha community as does any other project! I don't understand why reviewers rant about having to pay for a service that the developers put their time, effort, and resources to provide a great platform for Habesha's to find friends or future partner. I am more than glad to pay for a service that serves its purpose! The ability to give goes a long way. What goes around comes back around. For those reviewers that want everything to be free or somewhat, in life there is no free lunch whether you like it or not. ; )

Jebena is great because it gives a chance for the habesha community to gravitate closer to one another. So far it’s been an amazing experience. I’ve been able to connect with people from all around the world. Highly recommend 10/10!

App is wonderful. Not bloated with unnecessary features and delivers what it promises . Easy 5 stars. The team behind it are professional and super friendly.

I think there may be a few abandoned profiles but there are twice as much active ones. All to say don’t let this discourage you from giving it a try and finding your partner.

I luv Jebena! It’s easy to understand and set up.
I m really enjoying it, it’s fun, it’s Habeshan and is a good opportunity to meet new ppl! And the developers really go over and beyond to try to help, and always looking for ways to satisfy their customers!
Just like any other app there r products u can pay for to get extra advantage. However, the number of likes u get per day is sufficient, although I wish they get to make it 2 or 3 free likes to unlock ur matches in a day as well.

I really recommend Jebena!!!

Jebena is probably one of the best things to happen for the EthiEri/Habesha community, especially for those of us who are in different part of the world. I do believe we’re left behind in the dating world for many reasons but lack of networking to meet not only the right person but also those who share the same culture is one I’d like to point out. And Jebena have made that barrier that much simpler. I honestly think as a community we have the responsibility to grow this platform to maximize any one person’s chance to find his/her soulmate.

The first thing of all i loveee Jebena. App like this can help you narrow down your options so you don’t waste your time with people whom you don’t share similar interests with. This can include narrowing down age, location, sexual preference, and physical appearance.
On top of that it attracts people looking for all kinds of relationships, from casual sex or a one-night stand to marriage and everything in between and most of all it makes it easier to find people from the same culture.
Another thing to note is their quick customer service which i think it helps a business to stand out in an industry like this industry.

Jebena is simple and gives you access to individuals within a area you select. Other apps like tinder are just now rolling out that feature from being paid to now free. While this app is giving us that free option from the get-go. Jebena seems to be new and it is going to take time until there can be the option to have more than 10 swipe limits per day. It’s a volume issue which takes time to resolve based on getting more people to join, but most people don’t realize that and complain.
Jebena is going to be game changing, just be patient and give them a few months and share with your friends too. God speed this app!

First thing I want to say thanks for making Jebena I can finally find me a habesha. Okay so it says we get ten swipes but I only did 4 or 5 and now I got to wait another 24 hrs. Second is why is it in Est time zone and now where people are from example I’m from Pst and I gotta wait for others at EST Isn’t fair

Looks like you have to pay to get a match and 10 swipes is too small as well. The people who liked you (at least some of them) should appear in the next “10 people” that you are allowed to swipe on. The algorithm is set set as such and that’s not cool 👎🏽

One can’t position pictures into frames, it’ll automatically default. If someone wanted to, they can’t pick both available genders in preferences.

I like the idea of Jebena . However, making us pay to see who gave us a like is petty. I can go on IG or Facebook to get at some females for free. Make this free and I’ll continue to support it.

It’s still in its infancy stage, but liking it so far. I see great potential in the future. Matching seems to be precise, I can’t wait until the users reach maximum capacity
