xScan : Document Scanner App Reviews

So thankful for xScan 🙌🏻 because I usually travel a lot and when something pops in my email, I often immediately need to edit the document, sign invoice or scan it for further use, so xScan is a saviour. I’ve been using it for a while now and haven’t found any problem. It’s really safe to use (as developer said, all documents are stored on my device, not on someones server 👀), all the documents are in one place and I don’t need to look for them to edit them again. Interface could be more appealing, but I’m okay with it, after all it’s an app with a long history and a lot of reviews 👍🏻. What’s great about this scanner is that I can easily work with any kind of document and convert handwritten notes or images into text (thanks to the convert function). What I usually do is that I edit document into xScan for example by cropping the head, adding contrast, change color or else and I think xScan is really wonderful at handling all of it. The documents are scanned in really high quality and can be in pdf or jpeg.

This is one of the top scanning apps I’ve found. The only thing that I wish is that they would have an option to buy it out, not subscription...or have a option that’s a little bit more affordable. I just can’t justify paying $70 a year for that or $6.99 or $9.99 a week for it. I would pay $50 for xScan and be done or a $2.99 a week thing but not at the prices they have. I will say that I don’t use document scanning that often in my business so I don’t really need it. But if you use it daily this could be a really good app for you and a good asset especially if you’re using it on the go it could be worth it for your business. I want to also say it is a really great app, it’s easy to use and the documents come out really great. A a small business owner I’m having to watch where I spend.

Works great easy to use. This a perfect app for people out on the road to be able to scan and send documents to the home office. Much better and cleaner than using a fax machine. Makes is easier to organize and save documents for future use, without having to keep up with paper copy’s.

When I selected my subscription it says Full Access (1 week) NOT $9.99 BILLED WEEKLY. Then you can’t cancel from xScan itself, you go to Apple Subscriptions and there is NO CANCLE SUBSCRIPTION button only a RESUBSCRIBE option for a DIFFERENT PLAN, it’s like you are locked in. They probably get an extra payment or two out of people before they notice and find a way to cancel (I’m still searching, reached out to Apple.) So they get A LOT OF FREE MONEY. xScan itself worked decent, but the one star is for it feeling like you’ve been tricked & trapped and also a little scammy. (Typed fast, please excuse any typos)

Thanks it looks like it would work out ok but the problem am having you all said free but want to charge $6.99 weekly us that’s not free I saw it on Facebook it stated to download it for free didn’t say extra charge you need to fix it

xScan is probably the most useful app that I have added to my App Library. Saves time and money!

This may not be a full blown scam, but is definitely borderline. uScan, this app, etc. may show in their App Store profiles that they are from different companies, but they’re in cahoots at the very least, using the same ad to advertise their perspective apps and charging as much as they can from those naïve enough to pay $7+ per WEEK! for their service. They may not have OCR, but stick with Dropbox where you'll at least get 1TB of storage and more automated, clearer scans…for half the price.

Do not fall for the free trial. They still charge you regardless and it’s a nightmare to cancel the “subscription” you are forced to pay because the free trial wasn’t canceled even when you did. Worst part is, your camera’s resolution is way better than the resolution xScan gives to the “scanned documents“. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!

I did not see anything when I downloaded xScan that said there were costs to use it. I tried it. It was free for a short time. I deleted xScan .
That is why 3 stars.

Before you can do anything with xScan, you have I have a subscription. You can’t use anything, not even minor details that most other apps will let yo use.

I feel like it’s fair to say that most people that are not business owners won’t even want to bother with this one.

I downloaded app scanned documents, converted them, edited text, hit copy, hit save, hit export nothing changes the document. I go back to convert and the text I changed is there but not changing on document. Lol. Not worth it! It’s shouldn’t be this difficult and if it is it’s not user friendly.
