I was trying to see if my Honda civic would work with this, it will not. When I signed up it started my subscription before I figured out that I can’t use it. I just purchased a 2020 Chevrolet Trax on March 30, 2021. I purchased a yearly subscription on the car key app. Before I could do anything they required me to pay for the subscription. I downloaded the app and when I tried to register my car, it shows a page with big bold numbers 403 Application is not authorized to requested makes(s): Chevrolet. This is after on the app it says that it is compatible with Chevrolet. I had to hunt for a contact number which is disconnected and an email. I did the email but haven't heard anything yet. My card has already been charged for the subscription. This is not a a good business if the customer service is non existent. I have read several reviews which I wish I had before. The reviews all discuss the bad customer service and the fact that the app doesn't work. I will follow up with my bank if the money is not refund to my account or they can provide the service they have advertised.

So I just purchased a 2021 Cheverolet Trailblazer on March 29, 2021. At about 230p I decided to purchase the yearly subscription on the car key app. Prior to being able to do anything it required I pay for the subscription so I did. As I tried to register my car, it advises me that I can’t because Cheverolet is not supported on the app but it says so right in the advertisement. So of course I immediately cancel my subscription but my card was charged $75.59 advising me I have until March 30, 2022 to use the app, which is extremely frustrating because I in fact and unable to use the app because it’s not compatible with my new car. I sent three or four messages today voicing my concerns and requesting the refund and no correspondence yet! What is even more annoying there is no customer service number to follow up on if complaints are received or to verify the turn around time for handling disputes. Horrible app and horrible customer service up to this point. If these charges are not refunded by the company I will dispute through my bank under the premises of fraud you will not charge me and keep my money for services I can’t use. Good day!

Nothing but problems so far.

After down loading the Toyota and Key Connect app, I keep getting emails to add my car. I have done so several times and it wants to charge me again for the plan. Very confusing. Can I register a second vehicle for the same price or is more than one car included. When I try to register my first car, I get a message saying my email is already being used and to sign in. When I do that it says my email is not recognized. Catch 22. I would cancel and start over, but message says I am stuck with paying for a year and that canceling only stops auto renew next year with no refund. I can’t find a way to make contact for help or support. I hope I haven’t just lost the yearly price which was purchased with no difficulty. So far that’s the only thing that’s gone right. This appears to be a $70 dollar rip-off, even if unintentional. I’d like the service, but would like a refund, if I can’t get help with this. Tricked into a subscription

I was searching for Ford apps and accidentally downloaded KeyConnect. Worse in trying to find out what the functionalities of the app, I accidentally hit the information on the subscription, and was signed up for a year with no means to cancel it. I tried the App, an out of all the”functionalities” that it has, only two things sort of worked. The tire pressure indicated the tire pressure from 250 psi to 258 psi, when the vehicle la tires were all filled to 36 psi. The other item that intermediary worked was the door locks. Average success on opening the doors were less than 50%. My personal opinion of this product is that it is too expensive for a useless product.

The app has literally no functionality without subscription. On top of that, there’s nothing you can even do in the app before subscribing that will help you determine if it’s something you want. There is only a dummy “Select your make” picklist that does nothing, just takes you to a subscription screen no matter what you select. They should be charging for the app on the store rather than pretending it is free with paid upgrades. They do it this way with the clear intention of getting subscribers for the super short 3 day free trial hoping you will forget to cancel before they hit you with a whopping $20 monthly charge for a junk app.
