Offered through my place of employment...

As with most apps, there are things to be happy about and things you don’t really care too much for. I haven’t gotten to experience all of the features just yet, however I have withdrawn money to see how it works. I like that the money can come instantly to your card but you pay like $3.99 just to receive it right away. Otherwise you can wait 3 business days to have it sent to your bank account...
Also it takes almost 24 hours for my funds to show up on rain after working my shift. I’m not sure if that’s an app issue or the communication of hours worked from my work place... it’s seemingly quick but if you’re in a pickle it’d be nice to get your nickel a little more quickle. 😂 I’d say the biggest downfall is having to pay $4 just to get your money that you worked for right after you worked the shift. On the flip side it’s still a nice feature rather than having to wait the two weeks in between checks for those of us who get paid by weekly. Overall a very useful app.

Worker daily pay option app ever

I have used multiple daily pay option apps from different employers and this is by far the worst one. I sent a letter to corporate, trying to convince them to use a diff ent app for the daily pay option. Literally my account has been on pause since I downloaded it. Sent in every piece of annoying thing they asked for. Finally got someone on the phone and spit out false information. Stating the engineer asked for my pay stubs and that’s not true they ask for my direct deposit screenshots and next two pay dates. Provided all this information to be told I had to wait to more pay periods to use RainInstantPay which is ridiculous because if I have to wait until payday especially two then at that point I won’t need RainInstantPay as much. The previous options you were allowed to use them the first day of starting the job. The current employer is already linked so hours and wages are supposed to automatically be updated. ha! They update was shown on one day, the next 4 days next showed up. So again this really was a horrible option, not sure if its cheaper for the employer to have them, but you get what you pay for if that’s the case.

Multiple Issues Since the Beginning

So from the very first time I used RainInstantPay, I have had issues. I got assistance from them when trying to start it up. I put in all my information and didn’t think twice. I was able to use it once before I noticed I received an email telling me a second withdrawal had been made when I had only made one. I checked into it and noticed there was a different card number on there… and when going to them I told them I only had one active bank account. After about a week they did refund me and basically said I left my phone out for someone to switch the information, which was not the case. I was skeptical about using RainInstantPay after that but I continued to because it comes in handy. Waiting two weeks to get paid, when things come up at anytime, is hard. Anyways things continue to happen and they take forever to respond. I feel like they have two people working for them and when you need help they put it off for days and still have no answer in the days they told you, you would have to wait.

Horrible service

RainInstantPay was horrible. I was able to make a couple of withdraws but eventually It wouldn’t let her let me withdraw answer that my account is paused. I asked for assistance my boss and telling me that rain contacted him saying that I had a second job with Grandma money than I had. Which was not correct I only had one job. So I’ve talked to five people in total on RainInstantPay and none of them will help me they’ll give me stupid little responses like I’ll get back to you when I have more information and then the chat goes out new person comes in it wouldn’t let her let me withdraw answer that my account is paused. Okay app, bad customer support

Great app for when you need some money quick & payday isnt for a while. I personally never had any issues using RainInstantPay. I have read quite a few reviews where a lot of people had a wide variety of issues using it, accessing their money etc. I never had any of those issues using RainInstantPay but the reason I am giving a 3 star review is because customer support for RainInstantPay is a joke. I made 5 separate attempts over a almost 2 month period trying to contact someone or have someone contact me to get some help logging into my account. Literally never got 1 response. I tried multiple ways of contact. Email, help hotline # you could text & sending a msg directly from the customer support website. So if you’re having issues with your account, I wouldn’t even bother to reach out for help. You’d probably have a better chance of contacting your deceased great grandparents than getting a response from someone from RainInstantPay.

Glitch

At first, everything was going great and it still is but now it's just aggravating me there was a glitch and my account wouldn't load my fund AND now it keeps saying there are too many attempts and to try again in a few hours but I typed the correct password in and it works any other time and I use face ID. You all need to fix that I shouldn't have to wait hours after to access funds when it was the glitch that caused me to not be able to log in. I love RainInstantPay but I should be able to access my funds due to RainInstantPay glitch it even let me know that there was a problem and then typed my correct password in and then it said I tried too many times but I know my password and shouldn't have to go through all of that each time it malfunctions. But overall RainInstantPay is great!

Trouble getting started

For the first week I tried using RainInstantPay I kept getting the runaround about what was keeping me from being able to put in my hours. Rain said my job had me on hold but nobody at my company had any idea why they were saying that since they didn’t have my account on hold for any reason so I got paid normally and hoped I wouldn’t need it but I did and when I opened up RainInstantPay it allowed me to put in my hours. I still have trouble with my hours being accepted every day bc they go by a printout my company provides which uses the dates the projects are due not necessarily the day the work was done but that was explained to me in detail by someone who took the time to investigate my issue instead of passing the buck so I’m much more satisfied with RainInstantPay now

Convenient

I got an email from my job regarding a pay advance so I clicked on it opened it up and saying that they were promoting the rainInstant pay app so I thought I’d give it a try I download it I did my first withdrawal and I was shocked how quick I got it and then they just take it out of your next paycheck and whatever you do not withdraw is your paycheck so I had unexpected expense, and needed some fast cash didn’t want to borrow money from anyone so yeah I love it it works I’m glad that they sent that to me I’ve told my coworkers about it and they had no clue

Customer service

Haven’t been able to enjoy RainInstantPay, I’m waiting for my information to be verified, I’m passed to the waiting period. It’s been even harder to get some real assistance. My chat agent has only responded to me once a day with inaccurate information. Update: after I left this review Rain declined my application. So the benefits that was offered to me by my job is no longer available due to my leaving my opinion. When I contacted Rain to get a understanding of why my account is no longer active they stated it was because of the third party did not approve me. When I was contacted by the third party they advised me they were unable to verify my information and redirected me back to Rain. So ultimately I didn’t receive any help then when I spoke out my the lack of assistance my Application gets declined.

One and done

I’ve only used RainInstantPay once, ONCE and then my employer or RainInstantPay producers whoever tell me my accounts paused. I’ve wrote several times about this and they give me the same generic answer about maybe my card info is wrong, or I’ve taken too much money and I have to wait until I make it back or something and it’s been like 3 pay periods since this happened and I still can’t use it anymore. I only withdrew what it told me I could and since April 4th I’ve not been able to withdraw money. It’s my money and I need it now! The chat agents I’ve told about it keep telling me “We’re going to look into this!” And that was like 2-3 days ago. I’ve actually already left that job and I will no longer be associated with RainInstantPay because my new employer simply pays more often.

Customer service is terrible

I have had RainInstantPay since our corporate announced they were using it for daily pay about 10 days ago. So far I have not been able to use it at all. It updates my hours but has said my account is paused since I got it. Customer service chat hardly replies and if they do it takes literal HOURS if they even answer. They have said my account was forwarded to the account management team and then asked for screenshots of my pay stubs and bank statements. Our information is available for them to view as our pay system is linked to them. Not sure why it would take so long or what they’re even reviewing. I would not recommend RainInstantPay. Daily pay is so much better. I never had issues with them.

Rain is great!!

I downloaded the Rain app when my employer recommended it to us. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but did get it. I almost had the chance to use it, but things turned around. On the other hand, my friend, whom I work with, did get to use Rain when she was in a very tight spot. It helped her so much, being able to get gas to get to work and make it until payday, which was every 2 weeks. She felt very blessed to be able to use this and make ends meet. Thank you for such a helpful app!!

Useless

I’ve been trying for a week to access my funds. I cannot get past linking my account. It keeps giving me an error that I need to log into my online bank account to fix the issue but my bank is stating that there are no issues on their end. I’ve tried chatting with someone thru RainInstantPay but I keep getting a robo response that there are known issues currently with syncing banking info and that they are working on the problem. That doesn’t help me because I cannot even manually add my banking infuriation. I’ve asked for a phone number so that I could speak with a customer service rep but my requests go unanswered. I’m starting to think that this is a sign that I shouldn’t even bother, seems like more trouble than it’s worth

Haven’t been able to use RainInstantPay at all. Installed 2 weeks ago. Been requesting help for almost a week. They say “be patient” n that they will resolve my issue. They say the issue is that it’s the wrong pay date on my account but they won’t fix the dang issue. So I’m fed up. I’ve asked them for updates. They read my message n flat out don’t reply. I’ve asked them to just delete my entire account so I can sign up again so it’s done right from scratch. No reply.

Suggestion

RainInstantPay itself is amazing! It’s super helpful to myself.. the problem is, Getting in touch with someone isn’t exactly easy with rain. You need to add a “pause” my account or something of that nature that can be controlled by the customer. Overall not dissatisfied with the customer service, just getting In touch with someone in case of an urgent problem is the issue. With staffing issues across the country I understand, but when it comes to someone’s livelihood ($), it has to be a priority.

Rain App

I am so grateful for the Rain app especially during these uncertain times and the recent pandemic. It’s great to know that I can access funds between my paychecks. Life and bills happen and not always according to my biweekly pay schedule. I am truly grateful and one of your biggest fans. I like the name too! I smile when I choose how much money to transfer. Then suddenly, it rains money, refreshing and replenishing my bank account. I’m hoping that eventually, all companies will offer this incredible benefit to their team. Let it rain!

Saved me multiple times

What’s great about Rain is that it is not a loan that I have to pay back. It’s money that comes from my paycheck, so it’s money I already have earned. The deposits are done within minutes of doing the withdrawal and available right away. The fee is small making it not feel like a punishment for having to take the money. Rain has saved me multiple times since I started using it. I’m glad my employer has given us this option.

Great, when it works

I’ve been using Rain for months and it worked great. However, in the past month I’ve had continual problems logging in. I have had to contact Rain’s customer service multiple times and the problem will be fixed but will start again a couple of days later. I can’t seem to get an answer about why this is happening. Just updated RainInstantPay and it’s still doing it. Fix this, please, Rain!

Phone calls

Although most of the time RainInstantPay is good, (but make sure if ur submitting hours it’s before like 3 pm Eastern time) u will have trouble getting ahold of ANY real person!! This is soooo aggravating!!! They don’t even let the phone ring once at the place. Takes it directly to a machine that says, sorry , no one is available !!! This is EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!!!!
But all in all, like I said, if u need ur money THAT DAY, as long as u have the hours in early enough, you’ll still get it that day...sometimes it def can b slow! Still give it 4 stars tho!!

Love this program

I was very hesitant about using this program. But I love it. Especially when you need money right away for emergency or just needing fast money. Money you work hard and earned. It’s easy to use. You get a choice to receive money instantly or in few days. I love it. It’s very beneficial to me. It will recommend this to any employee that needs money on the same day. You don’t have to borrow. You can just borrow from your paycheck

RainInstantPay barely works then they say it the employers fault until you tell them your job sent your wages then you still sit and wait for your own money and half the time you don’t get the days wages until two days later and they’ll owe you for two or threes days in a row and only pay for the one 10/10 don’t recommend at all anymore oh yeah and you never hear back from them even in the chats I’ve been sending them messages for three days now with nothing back from them

Unable to login, or create an account. Error messages constantly. “Password Should Be Longer”

I guess my employer switched to Rain instead of Netspend for daily pay / instant pay features. I first downloaded RainInstantPay and tried to create an account since it was my first time using Rain, and I got a “account already exists” message. I tried to create with my backup email and it said the same thing. So then I went and tried to login with my same information that I would use for say the Netspend app, and it wouldn’t let me login it said “password must be longer”. So then I go to the forget my password button and it has given me multiple messages, one time says my account doesn’t exist, then the other time says password must be longer. So because of this I have no longer had access to daily pay from my paychecks and it’s a huge inconvenience. I have been so frustrated. I didn’t have this issue when we were using the Netspend daily pay. I just want to be able to access my account and my funds this is ridiculous.

Cool app terrible customer service

If you ever get a new phone your screwed. It’s been over a month and 5+ requests submitted to help me get back into my rain account because it locks you out once it notices your phone is different. None have been responded too and I️ still can’t access my funds after 4 1/2 weeks and they won’t give you a phone call you have to wait for emails that may never even be responded to. SWITCH TO DAILY PAY! They are more reliable.

Tech Issues but Decent App

Customer support can’t help. They can only tell you whatever scripts they’re given. It’s a hit or miss to have funds available the next morning. It’s usually mid week and weekends where I might not see my funds from the previous workday. oh no girl, honey I was you too girl come here try to play it off like it’s my employer, but it’s them. My employer says that my hours have been submitted on time every day, including Fridays and Wednesdays. I didn’t have any issues with my previous payday app when they used a different app. You guys need to fix this because it’s a tech issue.
