Since my baby was born he was a great sleeper! We started tracking after the 4 month sleep regression because that transition really impacted him and we wanted to be sure he got enough sleep. I noticed something off when he turned 5 months and the app dramatically shifted his sleep need, however I stuck with it just for tracking purposes.
Slowly over time it “learned” my baby found it more interesting to be awake and suggested less and less sleep. At about 8 months, I turned to my husband and said “maybe our baby isn’t a good sleeper after all”. After about 2 months of terrible sleep, we hired a sleep nanny and she corrected his sleep in less than 4 days. He went from maybe sleeping 12 hours total sleep, to 12 hours night sleep and 3-4 hrs day sleep. Not to mention he no longer wakes up 2-4 times each night. I mean he sleeps straight through!
Really it’s our fault as parents for not recognizing this sooner, but for such a costly app I’m disappointed they don’t use better recommendation logic to determine minimum sleep patterns and wake windows. I can compare this to the Pampers app, which was much much better at that. I wish I would’ve spent the extra money for that one up front instead of just trying to save money.
I will say, as a person that works in tech, this app has a nice UI compared to the others. Hence the 1 star.
