Meh , not worth the 4.99

I admit I purchased it because I wanted to see the data it was gleaning from why watch. I was most curious on the stress accuracy. I can tell you adequately how dissatisfied I am with it. The past 3 weeks have been some of the most stressful weeks of my life. Hearty displays my stress levels as being normal. I can tell you they are not.

The water information relies on you manually updating a different app that you also have to download and pay for to measure your water intake.

While they did a good job at offering all kinds of metrics and metric displays All of the measurements and graphs are so tiny they are hardly usable. There isn’t any way for the average person (not medical or fitness savvy) to know if what they are seeing is considered normal. In reality You can pull your own data and perform the calculations yourself.

If you don’t have the latest watch version there are several measurements that are unavailable as well which is expected but why not take the extra time to ask what watch versions you are using then disable the metrics.

NOT compatible with Apple Watch face

So, I thought Hearty looked perfect for me. I have an iWatch and loved the way Hearty organizes information and stress levels and had hoped to have this information available on my watch face (as the photos suggest). The problem is literally NOTHING shows up on the watch face. It’s just blank. The only way to view this information is to open Hearty and thumb through the categories.
Again, placing ‘complications’ on the watch face that point to Hearty results in a blank iWatch face on those spots.
Very very very disappointing, especially considering that it looks like they know it doesn’t work and use that to trick you into buying the 4 dollar “pro” version - which I did - and it still doesn’t work! Very very disappointing. I gave them 2 stars instead of one because it does have a lot of potential, if it worked with the iWatch I’d give it five stars, but it doesn’t so here we are….

There and back a zen—an anxiety tale.

This was a really great app until it stopped working on my series 7. I tried all the tricks/resets/force close/reinstall, etc. advice from customer service but to no avail. However, I’ll definitely change my rating to at least a 4-star once they get the bugs figured out because I liked being able to check my stress levels on the fly…I mean on the human. But seriously, the only issue was that it would also have been helpful if it had some kind of alarm that let you know you’re getting stressed out and need to chill. And the watch complication needs a better graphics than just showing “- -“ but I digress…and I get stressed which is why I need a reliable app to help recenter my zen when I get zapped! My nerves and I Thank you.

Pretty Good

More information than you’re ever gonna need but once you adjust the information that you want it’s pretty good… My main complaint is the VO two max… I am a 70 year old male in very good shape my VO two max is 42 which is excellent… however, Hearty only goes to 50 years of age and shows my fitness level as Poor! Seriously? For a data intensive application the programmer is really missing the boat here. they should adjust this feature because there are people like me who are actually over 50 years old and the readings for a 50-year-old are not the same as a 70 year old. Also, I don’t see any direct way to contact anyone for support issues… When these two features are resolved, I’ll be more than happy to give it a higher rating

Aimed for the stars, splatted on the moon

This is the first app I’ve ever paid for. High on promise, this looked like a complete package. Looks are deceiving.

I have nurses and PT’s in 4 days a week, and I thought this could shortcut the duplication I endure with every visit. And it gives a qualified “maybe”. Some of the tests take a long time, which is problematic. Others are mirror copies of what I do on a regular basis.

I can’t walk well, and it’s painful. I’d just as soon skip the “set your goal at 2 miles” piece of settings, unless it’s measuring skydiving distance. 2 miles would kill me. I don’t have any caffeine. I can’t get past it. I reset it, then it goes back to 2 miles.

I cannot get into settings to modify certain measurements. I tap like a woodpecker trying to get into “privacy” but no go. Three stars because it’s 60% good. If they improve, this could be a winner.

So useful that it’s not

This is an amazing app and wonderfully condenses a lot of information. But that’s also it’s downfall. The information is so vast and condensed to fit into small pages that it’s hard to read, hard to understand (so many visuals that there’s no room for a legend or any way to understand them). Also, it’s really annoying that some metrics show that they are pinned to “today” but there’s no way to un-pin those so that they stay in sync with the rest of the page when you change the focus to a different day.

Love the layout

I love the graphical layout of Hearty. And I love how you can move the various graphs around in order to make it more personal and useful for myself. I love checking in on how relaxed or not relaxed I am. Bravo! However I have to admit, that one thing which annoys me is the water tracking. I do not use Water Now. I don’t need its complexity. I’m perfectly happy with the water tracker I use. Water dutifully shows up in the health app, but not in your app. If my water showed up properly without using your designated water app, I could increase my rating.

Good visualization; fails on stress metrics

I like the way Heart&Stress visualizes health metrics. It’s much cleaner and concise vs Apple’s health app (what happened, Apple??).

What Hearty completely fails to do is accurately calculate stress. I have been stressed and suffer anxiety, and Hearty tells me that my stress levels are low and says to keep up the good work. A competing program, Wellatory, is spot on with its analysis of my stress (much to my dismay; but the data is what it is). Wellatory, unfortunately, is a subscription service while this product is not.

I would recommend for the wonderful data visuals, as well as the subscription-less model. The stress management features fall far short of expectations.

It’s okay

I paid for the pro version of Hearty so I can use all of its functions. I purchased it mainly for tracking and reporting my stress. I would like to see an improvement with Hearty . It would be helpful to choose notifications we wish to receive like if we are experiencing a spike in stress, a notification alerting us of the spike can help create an awareness of what is happening in our bodies so we can make adjustments to calm ourselves down. As a mental health therapist, I can tell you that most people are not connected to what they feel in their bodies so this could be an important feature for Hearty.

Its a good app

If you can look past some typos. Good incorporation of much data.

The biggest issue for me is there is no way to submit any issues with Hearty like the weekly report psychological stress bar graph legend saying anxious on both ends, completely leaving out relaxed. You would think that even if it is mislabeled that color coding the bar graph would make it easy to tell, but it seems to change the color coding compared to the above graph.

Hearty has great potential and I do plan on continuing to use it but unfortunately the only way to leave feedback was writing a review on here. So for now. With several other issues I am only giving it 3 stars. I plan to update this rating if things get fixed.

Great data - got suggestions

Love Hearty. Full of great data. A few features would make this 5-star: 1. When a workout like a walk has a energy breakdown with a map, I would love to see where on the map I was in the different energy zones such as fat burning, exercise etc. This would help me know where parts of my walks stimulate a different exercise response. 2. It would be good to get a report between two custom dates. I would love to find out how much I have walked for example over multiple months- I cannot work out if that’s possible. 3. Steps in a walk would be brilliant.

This is a great app without these and worth every penny.

Lots of information

I really like Hearty. It provides a lot of information. The one think that could be better is the ability to select a maximum heart rate. With my age, my max heart rate is a lot lower than average. When I get stats on my workout, it looks like much of the workout is at warmup or fat burn when given my particular max heart rate, portions of the workout are really at peak. But other than that (which I hope will be added in a future update), I really like Hearty .

Good app missing some key things

I like Hearty it has lots of good and useful information a couple of things that need to be fixed and should be fixed immediately when you manually want to take a heart rate, first of all, it ignores the fact that I have an Apple Watch, which would be a better instrument to get that information from it should choose the Apple Watch. I can do an ECG. It can read the heart rate there’s really no point in me putting my finger on the camera, however when I follow their instructions, it turns on the flash but it on an iPhone 14 pro max. The camera below the flash is the Ultra Wide that’s not the camera it’s looking at so it never has enough light to read the pulse. Every single reading has disagreed with Apple Watch. This could be easily fixed by detecting the phone type and using the correct camera for people without an Apple Watch for people with an Apple Watch. It should just get all of the heart related data from the health app and it should refresh if I take an ECG it’s already doing this for blood oxygen. It seems like a simple change that would make it a five star app

Awesome App!!! Get it!!!

This is a really terrific application that Harvest and stores all the information that your devices will give it. If you give them permission, it will go in the database and it will tell you everything that has happened. There is no reason not to get Hearty. It’s one of the best health apps in the store and, the developer is so cool that he does not charge upfront. You’ll see how wonderful Hearty is and you will pay because he deserves to be paid for this excellent work!

Thank you! Great job!

One request… When I open it it always asked me to authorize my blood pressure through Apple health and I don’t have a blood pressure monitor currently. Even though I allow it and I’ve tried not allowing it, I still get the message. Anyway, to make that stop happening? It’s just a small thing and it’s probably something I’m doing. Your program is awesome.!!!

Fantastic App!

Hearty is absolutely incredible! For the price and the way Hearty is layed out. I found Hearty on social media and checked it out. They were having a sale on it $4.99 I believe with no subscription! That’s a yes for me! I got rid of my WellTory app because that was an expensive subscription app and it costs me way to much money. With Hearty, it’s a one and done deal and it has way more information then the WellTory app. I definitely recommend Hearty to anyone!!!

One of the Best!!

I have tried almost all of the health metrics apps and this is by far one of the best (if not the best!!!). If provides the most complete set of data feedback for all aspects of health… from
Liquid intake to sleep data to steps & step symmetry to heart to stress measurements and on and on… If I was only gonna have one app for all my health data, this would be it!!! Can’t wait to see what feature they add next!! (I paid for premium features - it was one time charge & worth it!)

Empowering tool for stress management

Love the psychological stress measurement capability. I’m able to understand the events that are elevating my stress levels. This is a powerful capability and would be even more useful if there was a way to add a comment to record a description on the bar that shows the stress level at a certain time. It’s hard to remember the specific events over time. A record that can be reviewed later would reveal systemic patterns that could be addressed.

Most comprehensive health app for iOS

To: Wang Fan I am a early supporter and for my one time payment several years ago, I’ve been using the pro version. Hearty is updated and IMPROVED on a regular basis, far more often than most other apps. Based on its quality, I’m really surprised that it is not a subscription app. I would be will to pay a reasonable fee for continued support of new iOS updates and refinements of Hearty . Thanks Wang!

Has it crashed?

Hearty is amazing, and I have used it for some time now. The price was fantastic for all that it can do. I use this more than any other health app.

However, has Hearty crashed? This is the first time I cannot open it. I had to delete Hearty and re-add, and it kinda works again. I’ll just wait for the next update, maybe it’s just a glitch.

Great App But…Add Report Sharing or Printing

Overall app is fantastic, but I would like to see the ability to export/share/print etc., reports. A lot of other apps allow users to export to pdf which they can send to doctors, family, friends etc. So that feature would make app even better. Plus start a health conscious dialogue. I am giving 5 stars based on todays version which I hope in the near future report sharing and/or printing is available.

Great Job!!!
