eBoox is amazing! When I found I needed a reading app I tried several of them and this one came out on top. It’s intuitive, looks nice and has a couple features that I absolutely love. The shelves you can use to organize your books are very useful. My favorite feature was something I wouldn’t have expected to be my favorite, but you can flip the pages with the volume buttons. And somehow despite being the best app I’ve found for what it does it’s free with no ads.

This would be perfect for me. My main gripe with it is that you can't export (share) anything in your library. It's stuck in eBoox. You won't be able to bring it anywhere else. I don't feel comfortable putting all my eggs in one basket.

Also, this can't open PDFs, which isn't cool. I'd like to be able to carry them around too. Might as well add it onto the list of various supported formats anyway.

Speaking of other formats, I'm not sure if .mobi is actually supported. I tried AirDropping several files (separately), and I didn't get an option to import them here. It automatically sent them to another app I had (presumably by default because it was the only one I had installed that can read/open them). This is also a big issue for me.

These are absolutely common features. It's just about if they're willing to let us or not. I appreciate that this is free, but hopefully the developers care enough to take action, because eBoox will be 5-star worthy, provided they don't take any steps backwards. They'll have fully earned my respect.

Without warning the other day, the ebook reader I've been using for years developed a bug that made it basically unusable to me. I discovered this one in my search for a new option and it's terrific. The only thing I miss from my old reader was the "text to speech" option that enabled me to listen to books. That's a tall request so I don't expect this one to ever include that feature but for what it is meant to be, it functions perfectly

I went through at least 4 different EPub readers and came across this. Not only is it free (and Ad-free[for now?]), but it is FAST and intuitive. The UI is amazing and I absolutely love the cat mascot who adorably guided me through each feature the first time I tried something. And it wasn’t even annoying like a lot of helpers are, just a simple animation with some text and a short explanation. I love it. I would pay for this if it wasn’t free, so props to the developer. MAJOR props. Thank you <3

I have come to enjoy using this app as my main book reading app on the iPhone. I particularly love the turn-the-page option via volume buttons. it is very handy on the large screens. My only complaint is the lack of option menu popping up while highlighting a word. It is unfortunate that it’s not been implemented yet.

I would like to be able to find a definition for any word I want. I try to tap my word and instead of a definition the word gets highlighted and choices come up like filing or Dropbox, etc. It should be very easy to find the dictionary but it eludes me. Where is it?

I find the color choices for background very dull. The beige is boring, the white is not white. I don’t care for the other two dark backgrounds. There should be some choices beyond these very basic ones. And the font has no bold choices. It is not crisp like on Kindle, Marvin and Kybook3.

I do like the Setting features as they are easy to use. But I am not given the choice of page numbers in any way. Only a percentage.

There is no Help section to address these issues.

eBoox has a good start but it seems unfinished to me.

I recently got back into reading, and was spending my time jus reading PDFs online, until I found eBoox. It really makes reading books online much more simple and enjoyable. I love all the features it comes with, especially the night version sine I do all my reading at night. Download it, you won’t regret it.

I only have to problems. The fist is that it lags during the scroll reading. The second, you can’t directly import books. You have to go though google drive or some other cloud or files app. I like how it organizes books by author I just wish it went by south or and series. Or the option to orange the books manually under the author category.

This is pretty good! I just got it so I don’t know if it has any major problems yet but I like the layout and setup. My only problem is that with the scroll option (which is the only one I use) it goes page by page instead of one continuous scroll. I really don’t like that. So please, developers, can you make an option for a continuous scroll please! 🙏🏻 Thank you!

Very polished with lots of attention to detail makes eBoox a joy to use. There are two shades of dark mode and you can see your highlights clearly in both unlike the Kindle app. The highlight implementation works like it should unlike another app I tried where highlighting was janky. Really pleased with this!

I love this reader. Takes most formats. Nice xmas glitch. But lately when I close eBoox and open again another book Showa up. Have to search for the book I currently reading. It’s a little bit annoying. Hope they fix that. Over all as I said, my favorite

Great app but with the newest update some of the features seem a bit jarring. Scrolling the page almost always leads it to highlight stuff which is annoying. Highlighting should be only via quick double tap and not long press. Hope they add new features.

I admit when I downloaded eBoox I had my doubts. But once I got on eBoox all my doubles were completed erased. The face that eBoox allows you to download online while still on eBoox is truly amazing and time saving. I love eBoox and recommend it for everyone!!!

The best reader there is. The only feature that would make it better is being able to customize the exact color of the book’s text.

Beautiful and straightforward app. 5 stars when it is possible to send books directly to eBoox from the PC.

Can tether the device and upload through iTunes, but ftp directly to eBoox is another level of quality.

I had quite an adventure trying to find a not-too-complex way to read things in arbitrary fonts. This is something like the sixth app I tried and the first that seems workable.

The share-from-file system seemed a bit odd at first but I tend to micromanage my files, it works out pretty well.

When I scroll down (landscape view), it moves jerkily, almost as though it can only go down one page at a time? I might try one of the page-turning methods.

One request: it would be nice if this could use fonts installed to profiles by ifont and similar apps, for the sake of standardization.

eBoox used to do its job pretty well before this update. Now it's useless. The books never transfer from the previous app to this one. It keeps trying for HOURS without transferring a single thing! Now I lost all my books because the old version doesn't open even if you delete this version. Why create a new app instead of updating the previous one? Better yet, why keep updating something that was working perfectly? Stop trying to fix what doesn't need fixing!

Customization is amazing and I am extremely thankful to have such an amazing app for free with no Ads!!! I do have a small request, which is to have a dictionary integrated into eBoox , that would give it the final push to make it a 6/5 star app!!

Well, like the title says, I really like eBoox. It’s easy to use, looks good and most importantly works. All the other EPUB readers I have tried don’t work well and are basic, however this one is not. I highly encourage you to try eBoox because it is in my opinion the best free EPUB reader.

Beautiful app, love the settings menu, so smooth and pretty. If I could just change the library view to an all seamless covers view like Marvin has, I’d be so happy.

I like what I see so far, but it hasn't been much. There's no option to turn off the slow, slightly buggy scroll animation. There are 5 different fonts, all sans serif. Those easy to fix design flaws will hopefully be fixed soon so I can try this out more fully. There are plenty of easy to access controls so it looks promising.
Oh, and big bonus points for not trying to force G**gle on me even though he devs clearly use it (gmail addy).

I know that PDF support is coming, but lack of it is forcing me to keep looking at other apps. A web app would also be nice, but is hardly essential. I think everything else I wanted had either been addressed, or just isn’t important. Just PDF support.

Amazing free app, but is there a way to do dictionary lookup of words within eBoox , or a text to speech option? Those are the only features that I wish this had. Either way keep up the great work!

The swiss army knife of the ebooks reader. No unnecessary bull crap, just what you need to read everything, and packed with quality features.

Just needs pdf support to be the best option available
