Not worth it at all!!! Every press of the scan button you are held captive to stupid ads. UniversalRemote may be free but you pay with your wasted time! App is crap! Don’t download!
Bad for the first time in the past two years and the only thing that could happen in a it broke my iPhone
UniversalRemote itself is straightforward but immediately you are asked to pay in order to use it, either $2.99 weekly or $4.99 one time... kinda shady but whatever. However you must constantly close out UniversalRemote and restart it pairing The TV each time. There are better remote apps out there I suggest getting one of those instead.
Seven ads before I even get the chance to connect... then it wouldn’t pick up my iPhone 7 after I followed instructions. If this is from he iOS App Store, I would expect an iPhone seven to work. What a waste of time. I would update you app for older phones and cut down the ads, if that happened I would actually give you my money.
I downloaded UniversalRemote but I can’t not use it so how can I rate it five stars if I can’t even use it charging $2.99 for 3 days after that $5.99 per week why should I even pay for it they can’t even give me at list a free week trile
Horrible app after a hundred tries to connect to my Tv I gave up and deleted UniversalRemote , none of the “help” instructions worked and then I was pushed over to a screen to pay for the services for my other options I have on my tv… NO THANKS
You can use so much as the volume controls without paying the fee. Granted it is only $5 but it is the deception that irritates me. I would have imagined that special features would require an upgrade but not to use UniversalRemote altogether. Just because of this I am uninstalling.
I paid $4.99 for the pro upgrade that supposedly wouldn’t show me anymore ads and now I see ads every time I click a button! This is ridiculous!!
As soon you stop using app 10 seconds later you have to re open it again ?!? Wrote to developer and no one answered ... so customer service is bad too !! So every time you want to use you I have to shut app down and turning it up ?!?
It is a scam. Once you pay you find out that it doesn’t work even if it says it is connected to the TV. If you delete and load it again it will ask you to pay again. Do not buy it. It is robbery.
UniversalRemote is crap. I remember a time when these sort of apps were free with no ads; and they worked. Now everyone is trying to shove ads in your face and get you to commit to monthly billing... for a TV Remote?! You’ve got to be kidding me. I’ll pass.
UniversalRemote set up page is nothing but a rotating series of ads. You can’t actually sync your smart tv because you can’t get past all the ads. Or unless you upgrade to the paid version. Delete. Delete. Delete
I downloaded UniversalRemote . Made the lifetime purchase, connected to the Samsung tv, AND NOTHING Works. NOTHING. Not power, not channel, not volume, NOTHING WORKS. I made sure all connections were available as stated and NOTHING WORKS. If the developer wants to fix this, please contact.
I don’t really do reviews but it was working ok with ads so I paid the 4.99 then it stopped working completely tried to resync it with my tv and I just wouldn’t work.
Works on my iphone XS with my samsung tv series 6. I lost my controller and found UniversalRemote. I’ve been using it since. It works perfectly with my tv. I even like it more than my tv’s controller because i could do more stuff I didn’t know my tv could do because in the original controller didn’t have the buttons to. I read people with their reviews of UniversalRemote not working and that is trash... haven’t had any issues with it. I do find that a weekly payment is a bit too much for a controller for my tv.. overall, is a great app. If they add a keyboard and mouse for the browser would be even better

Every single app has issues some don’t even work. This one connected to the Wi-Fi and the TV , let’s you try it out and then if you want no ads you can upgrade . I upgraded .
