Sessions: Live Music Streaming Reviews

1. As a streamer, you can’t do anything on Sessions . We should be able to access our panel and more through Sessions , if we want to. Also, we should have more freedom with profile design. Having every page look the same is kind of boring. Artists and fans should be able to edit their profiles just a little bit. Similar to MySpace pages back in the day.

2. There should be buttons to: “Follow”, “Join Crew”, and “Send Love” right under the stream and above the tabs. It’s almost impossible to explain to some people to click the stream window, then click the 3 dots, etc... it should just be right there in the open and quick access so we can say, “click follow below”. There is already a language barrier with fans, so this would help a lot.

3. The party section with the cartoons is a cute idea, but serves almost no purpose. And it doesn’t make sense to have the props on that page, but the love in the chat section. They should be together on the same page, with quick access for fans. I would say replace the party page with a send love page, or revise the party page so there is more function to it.

I frequent several streaming sites, but haven’t found one solely for music until I downloaded this app. It’s great to have the streams on in-between my work tasks, as I love discovering new indie artists. Sessions is easy to use for first timers, and I was able to get right in to see a live session.

What I like is finding up and coming artists that are seriously talented, and even though I see cover songs, there is so much original content!!

Sessions is difficult to use and I feel ripped off. I just watched a “live” performance but it was all prerecorded, heavily produced, and unable to pause or played back after viewing. The connectivity between Sessions and other devices took 25min to set up and because there was no lobby streaming before the show I missed half of the live stream while finding a workaround to cast to a tv. The this app for the show I paid for his evening are two hours apart from each other but each session is 50min which leaves a lot of downtime and I’m worried I’ll have the same connectivity issues when the next session starts because there isn’t a way to stay connected in the meantime. If some of the connectivity issues are fixed I might use this again but I’m upset I was expecting a live show and got a prerecorded vid I can’t ever see again after spending $150.

The idea of signing on any hour of day or night to tune in on musicians all over the world is inspiring. And lots of fun. But Sessions is so glitchy!!! You’ll be watching an artist you really love and just lose connection. And sometimes it’s hard to find your way back to them because you can’t really search - you have to find them among the online artists. THE LACK OF A SEARCH FEATURE IS POSSIBLY THE WORST THING about this forum. They said they were going to add a search, but they didn’t mention a timeline on that. Meanwhile - I have to go reload my this app screen. Wish me luck!

This is a nice app. Some suggested improvements:
A. When not in the “party” part, put an alert that a Star is ready to be claimed.
B. When in the chat room..:don’t know if a star shows up. Put a notice that a Star is available.
C. When checking a profile..,it’s annoying that the live session is cut off when watching an Artist. Needs improvement on this part
D. Why can’t one be a member of at least two crews?

I was asked to audition for this app at the beginning of the year. So far, Sessions is easy to use. Everything you need for success is provided. this app also offer 1:1 with a coach which is amazing! The community is welcoming and everyone has such raw talent. This is an amazing opportunity for up and coming artists who want to earn income while doing what we love to do aka music.

Sessions/ or franchise- used to be a WONDERFUL game which i loved to play. i came back and- streaming? i understand that the marketing has went elsewhere but please bring back the game which next music and beat fever provided, it was a WONDERFUL game. Sessions isn’t five stars but i’m rating it at that to boost this review.

I enjoy music, so I would’ve given Sessions 5 stars. It is an excellent concept, however, there are NUMEROUS issues that need to be dealt with in terms of glitches with the love/sticker panel being absent during showcase streams, or the love/sticker panel just not reacting to touch. This results in artists not receiving the votes they are due, and is ultimately UNFAIR. Sessions needs serious bug fixes, as it is creating inequity for artistes.

I love the concept! It’s an app specifically geared for music... a concert from your home! It’s great for music lovers during covid!

Sadly, as usual, the people on top are the ones with lots of family/friends and money. I’ve listened to lots of people. A couple of the higher ranked singers consistently sing flat (and I’m nearly tone deaf and can hear it)(also disappointing because they “audition” and get approved... lowering the apps standard of talent) on the other hand some very talented artist go unrecognized because they don’t have money or a bunch of friends.

I think Sessions is the future of music. It’s so awesome to be able to connect with great musicians around the world that you never would of heard of otherwise. First overall music experience that’s gotten me excited in a while! Can’t wait to see the future of this. Thanks

Amazing way to experience and enjoy concerts! Please make an in-app share option! I can’t share ticket links with friends from Sessions without going to the website. Make a share option or button on the apps ticket page.

Sessions is easy to maneuver and not complicated. I love it especially artists are legit, unlike other live stream apps. BUT there is one thing I would love to see, if only there’s a search bar to easily search artists the ones that I didn’t followed because I am Allowed to follow only one.
Also, the membership is too much.

Sessions rocks! So many talented artists streaming that I have never heard of before. It’s super easy to navigate and looks amazing! When I was on, there were more than 10 artists playing at once and it ranged from Indie singers to freestyle rappers. Live performances from the comfort of my home

I like that I’m able to check out a wide variety of new artists, however, I agree with a previous review and say that there aren’t clear instructions or FAQ’s on how to use Sessions (crew rankings, how to earn stars, etc). I find Sessions a bit difficult to navigate and there isn’t a way to find an artist if they’re not currently performing or set to perform with min the next 24 hrs.

There’s no way to search for an artist. I watched a stream, enjoyed it, but join his crew before I left Sessions . Now I can’t follow the guy because there’s no way to search or browse artists... really dumb.

Why can’t Sessions allow a choice to be crews for multiple streamers?

It’s annoying that when you check a profile, the stream you are watching gets cut off. Stars should appear even when not in the party view.

Sessions seems fun at first. They make it seem like they care about the artist when in reality all they care about is making money. There are lots of good singers who go unnoticed because they aren’t given the chance for exposure while this app only promotes those who get lots of “Love” those already on top. The worst part is, some of these people on top aren’t even good singers. I’ve watched lots who are very talented and yet go unnoticed. So unfair.

There’s a bit of a learning curve but as an up and coming artist during the pandemic, this service really fills the need. I get to perform live and get paid for it, all from the comfort of my home. 💪🏻

I love the idea of Sessions! I found musicians I love but the software is VERY glitchy from time to time!!! Sooooo beyond frustrating cause one really has a hard time listening when it’s SO in & out with sound! Doesn’t do these artists justice unfortunately. 🙁

I’m currently watching New Years Queen’s which I paid $50 to access. I was expecting high quality streaming, but it won’t stop buffering, distorting, lagging, and sound cutting out completely. It’s not our internet- it seems like this app doesn’t have enough bandwidth to support the livestream! Why on earth did I pay this much money for poor quality access to the content?

I love finding new artists that I won’t hear anywhere else. I feel like I’m in the front row of a small concert venue. Love Sessions and supporting so many great artists.

This is a great place to find indy bands. I like the fact that you can talk to performers also. This is better than a live concert

I am in PR and promoting. I am a huge advocate for musicians. I know a couple of artists on this platform, and it’s very good! I do recommend musicians and music lovers, check out Sessions!
