Lover: Intimacy Coaching Reviews

I downloaded the this app app with the three-day free trial that I could “share” with my partner. The developer said Lover could be shared, but nowhere did it say that the subscriptions would be individual and separate even if you shared. After 2 days, we decided Lover wasn’t specific enough for our purposes, so I canceled the free trial and future subscription.

Two days later, I woke up to a charge on my account for $120. It was Lover in question: this app. Turns out that even though I canceled on my side, I was charged anyway because my partner didn’t cancel on his side.

We were told Lover could be “shared” with your partner, and we were never told we would have our own separate subscription. The developers of Lover lack transparency in their operations. On this basis alone, I do not feel I can recommend Lover.

The information provided on Lover is actually good, but for those of us who are well on our way into a sex-positive journey, it feels a little 101; we need something more profound and specific.

I asked the representative at Apple who helped me if I could request to submit a report to Apple about this developer and app, and I was told all I can do is leave a review. I feel Apple should have a better policy to handle developers who don’t communicate properly with customers.

Okay at first this seemed very promising but was quickly let down. I had an appointment with the theripist which I waited a long time for. First of all. It was through text not voice. Didn’t like that. Who wants to type for a half hour. Anyways I log in at 3:30 and Lover says your appointment is in begin in 15 minutes. Thinking she was running late. I log in 10 min later and I see a message at 3:32 which I responded too but she never wrote back. She just assumed since I was late and left. I went to rebook later and 2 weeks away for another appointment which I had to pay for? I waited 20 minutes on Lover for her to reply back. Anyways I deleted Lover and got a refund from Apple. Woohoo. Worst app ever. So not worth the money.

I’ve been with my partner for almost 10 years, and I’ve never felt lacking in our sex life. However, like most things that are repeated over the years, sex does start to feel routine at times. Lover has spiced up our bedroom again and made us both excited to try new things! The way it approaches sex is so informative and makes new options feel safe for me, so I can focus on the excitement and not worry about the unknowns.

Recently downloaded this app and can’t wait to go through my “Just Curious” content with my boyfriend! We are always searching for ways to be more in tune with each other and this app is the solution we’ve been looking for. Dr. Blair has crafted tasteful and empowering content to help couples and singles feel more confident about their sex life. A must have for everyone who is looking for a deeper connection with themselves and their partner!

It feels as if the author is or has been on the path I am walking. How quickly and accurately I was able to identify areas and reflections about me and my experiences.

The types and amount of personal data this company collects and has the freedom to share or sell is far beyond what even google or Facebook collects, and this is a payed service! Highly exploitive and inappropriate, especially considering sensitive nature of user’s content on Lover. Read the privacy policy. It’s scary. I cancelled my subscription immediately after reading it.

If the this app team wants to assure its customers that their data is private and safe, they should do so clear unambiguous terms in their privacy policy, and they should stop collecting sensitive data that is directly tied to customers’ identities.

The new update removed the “Turn Ons” section which was me and my girlfriends favorite part of Lover . It was such a great and unique feature to match our turn ons. It really got us talking and discussing different sexual things that would have taken a long time to bring up. Seeing a list of matched turn ons let you and your partner know specific, maybe sometimes taboo and embarrassing things you shared. Now you can’t even access the matched list...

I had never downloaded an app like this, nor had I given much thought to devoting time to delve into my specific preferences, like you do in the quiz. This has been an eye-opening experience for me, and given me the storin strong desire and courage to make my sexual health and pleasure a priority. Thank you, this app!

This is a beautiful app in a much needed gap. How many apps are there to find a quick hock-up or a date? Too many. How many apps are there to help you deepen your understanding of your sexuality, sexual desire, and sensual needs?.... none. this app fills that gap offering practical advice to current issues and a path towards growth.

However, probably not for the Pro users. Lover best suits couples that need a little push to spice things up or open a line of intimate communication. The interface is well done, and the video and audio is perfect for the novice out there. The quiz has a solid algorithm and seems accurate. It’s worth a download and try. Oh, this is a real review.

It is worth it! Right from the first exercise you could feel the difference and understand yourself better.

Everything on Lover, is so vague that you could google most of the subjects the present and get more detail. They touch on subjects that could be hours sections and last 3 min. Plus Lover keeps saying I haven’t subscribed so I need to keep “managing” it in settings. Once you finish one recommendation it doesn’t populate another for you to continue. Sorta a one and done deal. Don’t bother. Google whatever you wanna learn. So much more info there.

I am so excited to try some of the tricks and tips! Just listening to the session about “dirty talk” has me 🤔maybe it is something I can get better at. Oh and my personality/love type quiz was spot on (The Muse).

Let’s face it- we don’t talk enough about sex/sexual health in our relationships! This is a great app to gain more insight into your sexual self. Looking forward to exploring everything Lover has to offer in the new year!

I downloaded Lover, and started to fill out that signup stuff, but realized this wasn’t for me when Lover demonstrated that it doesn’t care about gender minorities. It had a little note stating that non-binary content was on its way, but that’s not sufficient. Im not giving my time, attention, and money to an app that has inclusivity as an afterthought. I’ll use Emjoy instead

All the previous “reviews” are simply company members paying for reviews. Back in the real world, Lover is one of the stupidest concepts I’ve ever seen. They decided to charge a premium for information that is free online if you know how to use a basic google search. Blown away that people were stupid enough to create this let alone invest money into it

Great and very helpful app. I had a concern related to subscription charges, and Lover developer worked with me to resolve it promptly.

The mission of Lover is commendable, and the execution is beautiful. I can’t wait to share this with all my friends!

I tried to sign up for a free trial to see what Lover was like. Kept freezing up and did not allow me access to content. It kept saying I needed to purchase again. The couple videos I was able to watch were good.
