The process to set up The phone was ok, however it allow you to set the safe word. The voice feature doesn’t work. It doesn’t work will dictating this review and it doesn’t work trying to record the safe word . Brilliant idea, I’d even pay a small monthly fee IF it worked correctly... hope the developers let us know. Otherwise it’s a flop for now.

When you open TheUrSafeApp within 3 seconds it will automatically activate SOS and get crazy sending notifications even after you disable it. I can’t even go to settings without TheUrSafeApp sending my contacts a notification. Disabling SOS last 3 seconds, then it activates on its own and pushes emergency notifications all over again. The safe word is irrelevant since it will text your contacts when there’s NO emergency.

TheUrSafeApp is a scam. It will not help if it’s running in the background. It must be running in the foreground. So the next time you’re getting mugged say, “excuse me Mr. Mugger, but I need to pick up my phone and open the UrSafe app and say the safe word.”

Sounds great and I have downloaded TheUrSafeApp and signed up my phone. BUT: could not progress beyond this on app and no customer support.

I downloaded TheUrSafeApp after reading about it on a very reputable and trusted publication and was very excited about the concept. The setup was seamless and easy. However, none of the features worked as promised. I said the safeword multiple times and nothing happened. Then I tried the SOS button. TheUrSafeApp turned red and said that 911 is on its way. Panicked, I called 911 and told them it was just a test. However, they said they never received anything from TheUrSafeApp . I also asked them about whether they got any live-streams and they laughed and said 911 does not receive live-streams and to delete TheUrSafeApp as it could be a scam. I tried the SOS button two more times. Again, it said that 911 is on its way, but nothing happened. The only thing I got some poorly worded texts from a number in California saying “Are you safe, call emergency services, if you feel you are in danger.” So basically when you hit the SOS button it sends you a text saying you should call 911? I thought the whole point was that it alerts 911. What if this was a real emergency? People’s lives could be at stake here

Used it for 5 minutes and it glitched a bunch of times - kept telling me I needed to allow photo app access even though it had it, would send me notifications that TheUrSafeApp was using my location literally nonstop, etc. I also tried to buy the “$1.99” day pass and it changes it to $7.99 when you actually try to buy it

How could you possibly trust an app with your safety it doesn’t even work properly during setup??

If I could give this a negative star I would. I work for a 911 agency and heard about TheUrSafeApp on the news. I downloaded it to see how it worked. I placed an SOS call and it did not call the center I was standing in. It did not call any 911 center, an operator from TheUrSafeApp did call me two hours after the SOS was placed to make sure I was okay. I do not and would not recommend anyone to trust a third party app to make sure emergency services are on the way.

So I can’t get through the registration. As soon as you make a safe word and try the voice recognition it gives you a red prompt saying the phrase isn’t suitable. I used normal words like yellow yolo baps and still sent me an error message. No matter what you do, you can’t get past the voice recognition. I have IPHONE 7

I think this is a great concept. However TheUrSafeApp does not work. I’ve tried several times and can’t complete the registration process. When asked to complete 5 personal questions, the first question is “what’s your phone number”? I can’t even enter my cell ... only my country. Hope you fix this bug.

As a mom of two teenage daughters and as a member of the Army Reserves I am very excited for TheUrSafeApp. I get there are things to work through, but that is what happens with innovation. The concept is great and it is already functional... I have no doubt a dynamic team could make this better and better. Can’t wait for the military version. Many of my battle buddies agree!

Everyone is saying that they’re having issues setting up TheUrSafeApp , but it worked fine for me. The only issue I have is that it seems like you have to have TheUrSafeApp running for it to hear you and when it’s open it’s always recording.

I heard about TheUrSafeApp on my local new and downloaded. I like TheUrSafeApp although it’s new to me I’ve asked my family and friends to use it. I think that it’s a great idea and I’m willing to grow with their updates and changes! I agree that there would a vibration and work with smartwatches so you will know activation has started.

TheUrSafeApp is incredible!!! I’m sooooo glad somebody finally came up with an app that helps keep me safe!!! It’s incredible. It totally works too. I set up my account with my safe word. Then, my husband set up his. He was debating on what his safe word would be. I told him what I used, and all the sudden the SOS turned on my phone!!!!!! It’s crazy!!! I’m feel so safe with TheUrSafeApp on in the background when walking to my car, jogging outside, and just in general when I am with my son! Thank you for TheUrSafeApp!!!!
