Even though I love pewdiepie, this game is so boring, and you have to grind for hours just doing the same thing over and over again until you get a new character then do the same thing over and over again. Until you either uninstall in the first two days like I did, or get everything in the game and then realise how much you have to grind the game to actually enjoy it. The pay off may seem worth it, those 6 hours of non stop pixelings, but then you’ll realize how many things you could’ve done other than play Pixelings, and those 6 hours, you can never get back. So, the payoff of having over powered characters isn’t really worth it, because it’ll be fun, for the first 10 minutes. In conclusion, pixelings isn’t a bad game, and I respect the developers of it. However, it is very boring most of the time. When one is first introduced to the initial fighting in the game, they may feel overwhelmed, and compelled not to come back. But, maybe they will and play for about 10 minutes and then uninstall until one of their nerd friends tells them to reinstall because it’s the best game ever made. But, as a last request, just think to yourself this: would you like the game or have gotten the game if it wasn’t about Pewdiepie?
It’s not like Pokémon, like people say. You don’t adventure around and find and capture creatures. You complete levels and unlock creatures if you beat them. You don’t get to control which actions the Pixelings perform, they do it based on a timer. You find chests but the cheapest chests take 4 or 5 hours to unlock unless you wanna pay bucks to unlock them which are like special special currency in the game which is very rare. If you run out, you buy more with real world cash. You can unlock one chest by watching an ad every 8 or 9 hours. Progression is really really slow. You can grind all you want but only until you run out of energy. Once you run out of energy, you have to wait hours to earn more so you can grind some more. This game is waaaaaay too slow paced. At least in Pokémon, you’d battle for as long as your Pokémon had health and stamina. But you can replenish it SUPER easily just by going to a healing center. It only takes a second. Not hours. Nope, didn’t like this game. I only played it for an hour and a half. Pewdiepies game Poopdie is way better than this. I recommend that one. Poopdie isn’t a waiting game bent on convincing you to pay real money to progress at a decent speed.
I know I’m not supposed to give my opinion, but.... first, I wanna say that I love Pewds and I love the theme of this game. I looks really nice and seems to have love in it. The negative comes from it being so unfair. I’m not even half way into the 2nd world and I’m already fighting teams with 2 silver and 2 gold pixelings. I’m only level 7 so I don’t even have access to gold pixelings unless I grind A LOT or spend irl money on time. It just doesn’t seem right. Even the online arena is unfair. I’ve one so many battles just by moving my heavy attacker in front of the opponents weakest “right before” the attack happens. The opponent can’t react at all and is forced to die. I wish this game didn’t have such a huge curve/paywall. The main reason I loved TuberSim was because you didn’t have to pay anything to advance unless you absolutely wanted to. This game makes you feel like you have to unless you spend days on a single level. Sorry Pewds.
I loved everything about the game until ranked pvp came out. I played some normal pvp and had no problems with it but the ranked is just a can of worms. You only get 3 kinds of matches in ranked pvp. Easy wins for yourself, easy wins for you opponent or the occasional fair fight. If the third happens the game acts like some weird turn based rpg because of all the position and Pixelings swapping so all actions are at ready to go but every thing has to fire off in its set order. The game was not made to be played like this and it’s incredibly frustrating to watch your opponent switch their tank into your ranger assassin to eat the hit only for you to try to put play them next time by waiting for the last second to do the same and you just don’t switch until after the attack. If I could just ignore ranked I wouldn’t be making this review wining about it but I need to to get the Pixelings I don’t have. Please try to make ranked better
Edit/update. Ranked is still bad but now the story map is not resetting every day so the only way I have to get chest/money is to play arena. I hope this is a bug.
Edit/update 2. It took then nearly 2 weeks to fix the maps resetting. I gave up on this game after my first edit. I’m sorry pewds, I still love you but this game lost me.
It’s a nice game to play and start, it’s not that complicated to play but it’s good to test how strategic you are on games that every second counts. But there is some things that need to implemented. Need to have more item to grind on maps. I’m stuck on the first map with low levels units and there’s no way to grind more of them unless you wait for the chest and/or beat a quest on a map for a specific one which aren’t rare. Really losing me on that. Next is that there should be events, I know it’s new but events should be implemented for having unique items on the day of week or a special occasion. It will be a nice touch up, too keep it more for a grind and switch it up. And lastly, try to get a random supply drop, because I see there’s a lot of ways to pay with real money, you should use the bucks or tokens for a hit on the random supply drop with a chance to get a new unit or a very rare one. But that’s my recommendations , please add more ways to grind for troops!
I really enjoy this game; it’s really fun and addicting. However, in the menu it’s shows an option to get free bucks by completing these “offers.” I see a lot of games doing this and I’d like to inform you that it’s a complete scam. For example, the offers that want you to put in your personal information are scams and will try to harm you in some way, like spamming you email or trying to give you a virus. The surveys that they offer 90% of the time don’t give you the reward because you “didn’t qualify for rewards.” The surveys are just trying to market personalized ads toward you, usually not giving you the reward because you don’t qualify for the personalized ad they want to give you. (The survey sees if it will recommend you the ad or not.) There is many other sketching or dodgy things on there that try to grab personal information ect. I know there’s nothing you can do about what they show on there because it’s owned by a third party source but please reconsider partnering up with them. If you can, remove this aspect of the game because it is a scam and tricking kids into giving them personal information.
Hopefully a developer sees this and takes action to remove it. Thank you for reading this even though it was long :)
I really love this game. Outerminds always puts so much effort into their games and they have clearly shown that. The gameplay is great, it combines both skill and strategy. The artstyle is amazing, and it’s crazy how it’s all hand drawn. The only thing keeping me from rating this 5 stars is the amount of bugs, which is pretty normal though as it was just released recently and all games have bugs. Sometimes when in a story mode level, the game will just freeze, but the sprites are still moving. As in like, the attack bar freezes, if you try to place a spell the little icon will just sit still on a pixeling, and you can’t change the positions of the pixelings. This isn’t a connection issue because it has happened to me on perfectly normal wifi. That’s really the only major bug I can name off the top of my head. Oh yea also, I can’t see anyone’s messages in guilds. There are frequent typos in the descriptions of the levels, but besides those small things, this game is great. Looking forward to ranked battles, and the upcoming updates. Great game overall.
I absolutely love this game. I played tuber simulator and got addicted to it, playing every day and always making sure I collect the daily every day, I always played it on the bus to and from my school, and I got several of my friends to play it with me. When I saw PewDiePie’s Pixelings, I wasn’t too excited about it coming out until I downloaded it. This game is awesome. I personally think this is one of the best mobile games ever made. All of the characters are adorable, the story where I’m at right now is phenomenal, and I love playing competitively against other players. I also love that it isn’t too easy or too hard. The game balances pretty well in between too easy and too hard. If I had to make any suggestions on fixing the game, and example would me playing the game two days ago, when I beat the first boss stage, when PewDiePie was talking to Maya in his little monologue, his name was displayed as Maya, not PewDiePie. I thought this was funny and didn’t think too much of it, but still thought I should tell you guys so you guys can make the game even more perfect. It may have been just my phone, or the actual text, but either way it was just one small error in an awesome game. Minecraft is an awesome game an it has a crap ton of mistakes, so one little error wouldn’t really bother me. Thanks again Outerminds for making such a great game and continue to be awesome!!!
What- you’ve never played PewDiePie’s Pixelings! Due to my obsession with watching Felix do things on his channel, I downloaded this game the second after it launched and, well, my expectations were exceeded. This game is so fabulously well done and the most fun game I have on my phone.
There is strategy, but it’s not too difficult for the average person to grasp. The characters (that were, if I’m not mistaken, hand drawn) are straight up adorable and the voices add to the adorable factor. The system of leveling up and choosing your Pixelings cannot be matched. The story mode will be your favorite if you’ve been with PewDiePie for a while. It really makes you reminisce about old PewDiePie videos.
Overall, PewDiePie brought me here but his amazing game caused me to stay, and I think I’ll be playing this game for quite a long time. If you’re thinking about getting it, it’s free, and that’s a great price.
This game is truly beautiful. All of the ads for the realistic RPG’s have nothing on this. It is immersive with great story telling. It is funny but it also connects lore and funny memes from pewds channel. This is overall just beautiful. And if we are talking about gameplay, this game does well at that too. Because of the creative ways you battle. Self healing, mana, Pixelings switching, and more this game just has so much great stuff. If you are looking for a great game that is challenging, than you should get this. The one thing I’d say is bad to me is that you have lives, or energy. I just don’t like that mechanic in games but to be honest that is a massive nit-pick for a game where you constantly can extend your max not by pay to win but by leveling up. Lots of thought and effort went into this so this game gets 5/5 from me.
Been playing this game non-stop the past week. Was skeptical at first, thought it might be another one of those mobile games that I get into for like 2 days and end up dropping. But that hasn’t been the case—it’s extremely fun and engaging, and I love the strategy and combat!
I did notice some bugs so I thought I’d mention them. Firstly, I’ve been noticing that sometimes, when pixelings die, their sprite is still there in the game but is just completely unresponsive. Lastly, I noticed a bug where, I levelled up at some point, but the game did not register that my energy bar was supposed to be full. I had to restart the game entirely and only then was the bar full.
One little suggestion I have: As
someone who is paying for the monthly subscription, it would be nice if the rainbow nametag also showed up in online battles. I don’t really see the point in having that as a feature if nobody else except myself gets to see it at the top of my screen when I’m playing. It’s a really minor thing, so it’s no biggie, but I think it’d give that feature more value!
Thank you so much for creating a wonderful and super fun game! I look forward to continue playing it and will definitely recommend it to friends :)
Here me as I embark on my speech of which contains my humble, yet brutally honest opinions on the mobile game which goes by the name of “PewDiePie Pixelings”. Once my belligerent meat scepter fell upon the play button a glorious “extravaganza” for lack of a intellectually superior word thrust thyself upon me. I stared in an extravagant daze as the one known as “PewDiePie” embarked on the ever powerful journey. Eons passed, and I had noth the will power to rip my obedient eyes from thus magnificent game. My wife left, leaving me in an eternal loneliness where my only friends were my vast collection of Pixelings. I was fired from my job, but no matter, thus firing of mine only further permitted me to spend more time playing “PewDiePie Pixelings”. Now I live alone, in a one room motel, no wife, no kids, even my parents ignore my very existence at this point. But all the better, for I face no exterior disturbance from my playing of “PewDiePie Pixelings”.
After playing PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist and PewDiePie’s Tuber Simulator, I thought that was gonna be it. But after one certain leak in the Tuber Simulator ad, I noticed the PewDiePie render at the end of that ad, which was the same render for PewDiePie’s Pixelings! After that, this game came out. And after playing the first world and a few other levels, I noticed that this game is pretty much meant for most strategists. But even if you aren’t good at strategies, this game is still fun to play. The harder it gets, the better it becomes. The storyline is very well told and the characters are pretty cool, cute, and funny. Some were originally from Tuber Simulator and Legend of the Brofist, Some were original, and some were just.. themselves. And also, the soundtrack is pretty good. It’s still 16-bit and it still acquires that aesthetic when you listen to the music. So far, it’s pretty much a perfect mobile game, so I recommend getting it if you’re into PewDiePie, RPG’s, or just the game in general.
The game has numerous negative and positive points that I would like to inform . First of all we all can all appreciate Felix because we clearly . observe how much work and dedication took him to make this game happen where should I start the quality , the idea .....
Second of all the problem . The problem is the hardness of it PewDiePie latest game has arrived to a point of me losing it literally it takes ages to the characters to change places or to use the spell don’t get me wrong if a game is easy I will forget about it but it isn’t supposed to start so harsh even the opponents have higher power than me . Look if I don’t like Felix I wouldn’t be here writing this message to inform him , in another way to say it , I’m not criticizing his game , I’m just offering some advice that could be fixed . The game is fun but hard it has tactics and improves the way you manage a team . Thank you
I was shocked when I played this game. I saw my friend playing this and since I don’t have a good eye for games I got. Even though it has “pixel” in it’s own name it has great understandable graphics. The story is easy to follow and the cut scenes add to the story. The gameplay is outstanding and what really showed me how good the game is. Unlike most games, the gameplay is actually challenging and gets more difficult over time, even if you advance in characters and level. They are guilds yo play with friends, 1v1 battles if you don’t want to do the story all the time, and a shop to spend the money you get along the way. On the subject of shop, the game is barely play to win. You would have to pay a lot to get good stuff worth it. Overall a great game, and I can’t wait to see what it will be like out of early release. The single problem I have is grammar errors here and there, but that doesn’t take away from the game.
Heyo, to anyone reading this review, I’m an ex-Monster Legends player, which for those of you who aren’t already aware is a game similar to this in core premise. That aside, I’d say that Pixelings beats Monster Legends in the fun department, and even the balance department. Mythics aren’t too strong, the gap between Mythics and Commons is reasonably large but not so large that using Commons is impossible to do effectively, the spells add a lot of variety to combat, and despite the fact that your attacks are automatic, this is by no means another AFK game. Playing this is like playing chess, except you only have 5 pieces, and the enemies usually have the upper hand. Oh and you have spells... Y’know what, screw the chess metaphor, this is nothing like chess. Now although this game is very challenging and has a little grind, the quests system allows you to level up very quickly, and level up your Pixelings too. It’s not very hard to get Bux(the premium currency) and the game isn’t old enough to suffer from insane power creep, here’s hoping Outerminds keeps it that way. Also, while we’re on power creep, since this game doesn’t have it to the insane degree that Monster Legends has it, you can actually win against some crazy enemies by just playing your cards right. It’s not about who has the most cancerous team. Yay! All of that said, I suggest you play it.
I love this game! It's amazing and only has one flaw (I'll get to that later). The game has a perfect way of putting out something I would normally hate, with the way you have to wait for an attack to be used is awesome. The story is amazing. The strategy with moving your pixelings when you need to is great. I've only seen one flaw, the free "Bux". With the way it works you need to complete surveys or something of the sort to earn the "Bux", it's a great concept but it doesn't work well. The first thing wrong with it is that you have to be eligible for some of the surveys that have a higher amount of "Bux" earned, like the Nike one. I've completed surveys and it wouldn't work because of the fact that at the end, it said i was ineligible. The second thing is, some of the surveys are heard to maneuver around. I took a survey that gave me 150 or so "Bux" and it took me 5 minutes to find the button that went to the next question. Over all the game is great, surveys are terrible
When I first got the game it seemed childish and disorganized. As I continued to play and understand it, it turned out to a load of fun. Leveling up is a pain, but if you play online matches you will be better off. Coins are another thing too. The game demands loads of coins with not very many reward to you. You can buy them, get them from online or offline fights, or get them in chests. With chests you wait 4+ hours for it to open, depending on the size of the chest you earned (there are also guilds which you can earn things such as coins). Chests can be opened by buying "bux" with real money or earning it. However you don't really earn a lot that often. Regardless there is a lot more to the game then just that, I'd recommend downloading it and giving it a try. Even if it doesn't seem like the kind of game you'd like. Personally I only downloaded it because it had the "Pewdiepie" name and high quality graphics for a free game. Hope you found this helpful!
Okay. I’m just going to get to the point. This game is awesome! There are barely any bugs, which is strange considering this game came out today, and also just goes to show how much effort was spent making sure this game is perfect. The gameplay style is unique and fun as well requiring strategic thinking, as if you want to get 3 stars for each level, you have to plan out the position of each pixeling and what type of attacks they do. I also love the art style. It’s so crisp and clean, as well as being visually appealing and this game is just awesome. I just love the amount of concern the developers had for players in which if you were a child, you wouldn’t get personalized ads or have your data used. Sure, this is required by law, but many games and apps sometimes don’t ask your age and still fill the game with ads and collect your data. They even tell you that they won’t sell the information. Plus you aren’t forced to make in app purchases either. The voice acting and story are also interesting and funny lol. Just go play the game already.
As a girl who loved(s) PewDiePie tuber simulator, I was a skeptic seeing all of these comments saying it was the best. I spent so much time playing all the other outer minds games and leaving comments on all of them so I am fully aware of every single one of the PewDiePie games out there. I did not think that this game would be as good. I just simply was not into these “battle” type games. Within a few minutes of playing this game it has changed my mind. I’ve been addicted for the past few hours! It is truly fun and captivating. The graphics are beautiful, I haven’t experienced any crashing and there seem to be no bugs! I am so excited to see the new updates in the future and hopefully some festive updates as well. Now go play! 😘
