App just searches for the keyword. Nothing else. All results out of order. Every time you click a result the search is cleared so you gotta re-search and scroll to find the result. Don’t bother downloading
Are you going to upgrade the Bible app to be used like the web version? STEPBible is rather basic and not useful.
No KJV. :( The word search, one of the few functions of this early app version, returns results that are neither ordered nor sortable. The font sizing feature is nice. It’s a small download (but, it’s an über simple app too).
This feels more like a tech demo than an app, especially by the high standards already set by STEP in the browser version. No option to download translations, what even is this?
App seems to be just another Bible with strong’s. Nice layout but kind of a dime a dozen. The website seems pretty awesome. I would like to see all features (or most) added to STEPBible . STEPBible would be a great in-depth study option if so. I use many different Bible apps for their individual functions or layout or ease of use. This currently doesn’t add anything that I need or desire, but I see potential…hopefully in the near future.
Galatians one only house to verse five
I downloaded STEPBible expecting it to have all the features the website has (reading it in the Hebrew and Greek, commentaries, etc.) and it doesn’t. I prefer to use the web version on my phone, since it is fantastic! Lots of great resources for students of the biblical languages.
This is a great app for the books that are included in full. I have not been able to open all of 2 John. Only the first two verses appear and STEPBible freezes up. Perhaps they are working on fixing these issues? It would be a great app if it worked for all scripture.
The interface looks great, but there's are only two Bible versions, the ESV and the Chinese Union Version. The STEP Bible web site has 512 versions. Why aren't they available here?
2 Corinthians chapter 7 wont load beyond the first verse. Also wish I could use other translations in STEPBible beside ESV.
I love everything about STEPBible. It is great for eord studies. However, I noticed that 1 Corinthians chapter 1 doesn’t load after verse 3. I am using this on an iPhone.
Love STEPBible but when using in “offline” mode, it doesn’t always load all of the chapters/verses and there is know option to switch out of offline mode.
I like STEPBible a lot, and I like the recent updates, but I wish STEPBible developer would make it to where you could highlight certain verses of scripture.
It would be nice if you can turn the page as you read. Instead you have to go out of STEPBible to select the following chapter. It’s only available in the ESV. It’d be nice to see it in NKJV and NASB. For studying, esv isn’t my first choice. I love that it provides the Strongs concordance reference numbers.
Such a great app, just needs the SBL Greek New Testament for researching.
I love how I can use STEPBible for word definitions and comparisons.
Would like to see more features in STEPBible like the website. STEPBible is handy for looking up the Greek or Hebrew word on the fly but the website is better suited to actually searching the scriptures.
i love the clean interface and the annotations.
Such a well made app. Really appreciate the newly added dark mode. Thanks for making STEPBible and keeping it ad-free!
Brian likes it. Instant access to many meanings in many contexts in different eras makes understanding precise interpretation s and archaic figures of speech not just accessible, but on screen by just tapping a word. That easy lookup makes even Hebrew understandable with just a click.
