Film Frames: Collage & Stories Reviews

FilmFrames is VERY user friendly and is filled with such a variety of unique layouts in which you can organize your content! Being a constant user of social media, i’ve used several different apps to try and make my images more aesthetically pleasing but have yet to find one as special as this one. You can tell someone put a lot of time & care to create these!
Film frames is quick, easy to use -and the best part is ... it’s free!!
there are additional frames that are for purchase but it’s not completely necessary

FilmFrames is easy and simple to use. It has a user friendly UI and is easy to navigate. The free frames given are professional and well made. You are able to access a lot of frames without having to pay for the other ones. One thing I would improve would be to either add more features or give more free frame packs to entice more people to use your app. Also, I found that the “Rate Us” and “feedback” buttons do not work in settings. Overall, it is a nice app that has potential and I would use it again!

I love the concept and think it’s really neat. After about 15 attempts I was only able to create one frame. I tried one of the available frames to practice on before I paid for the vintage and fashionista frames.

I picked the first frame and then picked photos when it prompts me to. I search for a photo and hit done and then FilmFrames closes. Towards the end of my attempts I just picked the last photo I took thinking maybe I was taking to long to find one and FilmFrames still closed. Im
assuming like every launch, the kinks just need to be ironed out so I’ll remain hopeful that it will run smoothly in due course. 😊

I respect Sawyer’s creative work, so when he announced this mobile app (in 2019?) I was really excited. At first I loved FilmFrames but quickly realized the image quality gets completely shot. This has been a known issue and every time I’ve asked support if this will be fixed, they say yes! In the next update! Uh huh, it’s almost been a year and it’s still bad. -_- So there’s $20 down for the year subscription.

For what it’s worth, shooting with an EOS R, L series glass, 28-70 f2 rf, 85 f1.4 ef, 50 f1.2 ef, 100 f2.8 ef. RAWS processed in Adobe Lightroom. Exported at 100% quality jpeg.

I find it to be really easy to use and I have always wanted to make an instagram post with the pictures needing multiple slides. I like the look of all of the templates, but wish it wasn’t so expensive to have all of them. It’s amazingly easy to use and would recommend it to anyone who posts a lot of social media.

Sawyer is trying his hand in FilmFrames market. The UI is clean, if not a little simple - but FilmFrames shines with the frames. The technical customization takes stories and post to another level. They have FXs on most photos that breathe depth and life in a photo. So it’s competitors - unfold, Storyluxe... don’t do that. So this requires less knowledge to make better posts. Strong recommend.

When using seamless carousels, the first and last images export with a white bar on their far edges. This ruins the whole carousel because if you try to resize either of these in Instagram, it throws the middle frames off. So if you want this for their cool carousels...some seem to not be ready yet.

I really like how easy FilmFrames is to use. You can twist, turn, zoom in or out on your photos while maintaining good resolution. So you can angle your photos in the frame anyway you want! I can’t wait to share my framed photos on Facebook and Instagram.

Got this awhile back looking for a simpler way to replace what I was doing in photoshop. I paid the extra to unlock more packs (the free ones are useless). Turned out the same could be said for the paid packs. No customization, not user friendly, terrible.

Then I come back a month later to try again, and FilmFrames is saying I need to buy the packs again. When I hit restore purchase nothing happens. SAVE YOUR MONEY & don’t get FilmFrames 👏

I downloaded it just to try it out and it earned the right to stay on my phone. FilmFrames is tuff and need all creators should have it. No ads and a great community that makes templates for others to use for purchase but GREAT templates come for free as well. Please give FilmFrames a try. 5 STARS!!

This is such a unique app! I love the fact they use actual film in their frames and the effect layers look incredible! If you are looking for something to set you stories and post apart... these frames will do it! 🙌🏼

Okay FilmFrames is the best when I first open it and used it it was okay I have to pay for the subscription because it’s worth it guys download FilmFrames it’s the best

FilmFrames is user-friendly, good and easy to use. It has lot of options you can use.

10/10 As a professional photographer I use FilmFrames to tell stories- and it doesn’t lower the quality of my images. Love it.

This is an really easy tool to use to make quick collages to post on Instagram. The free is more than sufficient to fill my needs and I’m happy for it

FilmFrames is everything you need to do great content on instagram. The packs are very well priced for what you get. I can’t wait to keep using it.

Another simple photo border app. Just like most it requires money out of you when already downloaded. This is disappointing because you download it thinking it it free. Not many differences between FilmFrames and other previous apps for this type of art. Suggest finding another app.

I love FilmFrames! I think I’ve added a frame to almost every photo I’ve taken since it came out!

I have emailed about my problems with FilmFrames and have only received one response. I am unable to upload photos. I sent a screen capture video showing my problem... since no response. I’m just frustrated because I spent my money on a pack. I wouldn’t recommend FilmFrames.

FilmFrames has a beautiful design. It is pretty straightforward and easy to maneuver. The templates offered have a great range to chose from which is great because it is likely that you will find something that you will enjoy. However, I do wish that there was a free template provided so that the user can get a feel for what to expect. I believe that this application has great potential, I believe adding at least one free template would help their business grow. Overall, their templates are beautiful, and pleasing to the eye. You do not feel overwhelmed when opening FilmFrames like you would with other apps that are filled with ads and such which is something that I really appreciate. I would recommend FilmFrames :)

I have been looking for an app that allows me to make carousel posts for Instagram! I found it! It’s amazing!
