Follow these steps to resolve intermittent Friends app issues:

Force Stop the Friends App
1. On android, goto "Settings" » click Friends app. » click "Force Stop".

Update Friends to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear Friends App Cache and Data:
1. On your device, goto "Settings" » click "Apps" » select "Friends app" » click "Storage" » click "Clear Data" option. This Clears both data and cache.
2. Relaunch Friends.

Click Friends » "Force Stop".

Go back to "Settings" » "Connections" » "Mobile Network" » "Network Mode".
Now, put your network on 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
