Calculate84 Plus Reviews

I downloaded Calculate84Plus yesterday morning, a couple hours before AppAdvice sent out notifications to their users about their daily “Apps Gone Free” listings.

After I launched into it, I wanted to go into their IAP section (to take advantage of the temporarily $0.00 priced Lifetime Upgrade) — but for the life of me, I could not find it.

I searched high and low, trying everything I could think of. I even ended up browsing through nearly all of their online help material, but I found no reference to IAPs. I went into every possible button, drilling all the way down, but I always came up empty.

Finally, in the wee hours of the morning the next day, I launch into it again, and voila! A pop-up splash-screen appears with links into the IAP section I was looking for!

So, I tap the link to open it, and there it was.

Just a few more taps, and… ummm wait a sec.

Surprise! The temporary promotional discount was over, and the price returned the regular price of something like $29.00.

Curiously, during my first search for the IAP screen (earlier the previous day), app freezes caused me to forcibly quit and relaunch Calculate84Plus , and the pop-up slash screen I was searching for didn’t splash on my screen at all.

I swiped up and closed Calculate84Plus , and relaunched it (a few times), but never once did the IAP screen appear as a popular for me…

And now that the promotion is over, the needed splash screen happily appears.

So, what was the problem in the end?

Bugs, or perhaps nefarious practices, are a couple of possible guesses.

In any case, I have several other advanced graphing calculator apps, so I will survive.

$30 for an app and then half the features still don’t work. They want you to pay monthly for a subscription (which is also not listed under in-app purchases). Glad it was a free promotion download so I didn’t waste the money.

I paid for the lifetime a few months ago but the new update gave me the base features and said I had to pay again

I think that this calculator could have more features, such as creating programs, and all the other features the TI-84 Plus CE has which Calculate84Plus doesn’t. I wanted a reliable replacement to the actual calculator on my phone, and this is one of the closest I could find, unfortunately it does not have all the features of the real TI calculator. Also, I think a one-time purchase would be better than a yearly subscription to Calculate84Plus .

Great calculator with a fresh feel to it and it does all my old one does.

App is great but when I try and pull up the table for an equation in y= Calculate84Plus just closes for some reason.

I finally don’t have to worry about forgetting a calculator

This has quickly become my go-to app for classes and research. It does everything you could want.

Unlike most calculators, Calculate84Plus actually calculates exponents correctly (for those needing it for advanced classes). Not only is it accurate, it doesn’t clutter your screen with ads and pop-up ads.

Great and unique design, but a one time purchase would be much more favorable to most users versus a yearly subscription! Thanks for taking the time to make Calculate84Plus

I got this during the one-day free lifetime promotional. Half the functions are still locked, even when it tells me “purchase” is restored. Every time I try them, I get the “Pro” version information I have to go through again. (I also have to go through it all whenever I open Calculate84Plus .) I could try to “purchase” it again in the hopes that the “already purchased” message will pop up, but it’s not worth the risk if it doesn’t. Also has only a couple screens’ worth of “help” for a seemingly advanced calculator. I think I’d have better luck with some of the others that actually have some instructions. I may be missing something, but unless I can find out what, I can’t really use this. (Apparently the locked features are an additional subscription on top of the normal $30 price, which wasn’t clear and is more than I want to spend.)
