NumWorks Graphing Calculator Reviews

When my daughters got into middle and high school, I went on a quest to find a really good calculator for them to use in math and science classes. I thought that surely, in a world where iPhones exist, there must be something better than the old ti-8x series calculators, like the ti-85 that I used when I was in school long ago. But it seemed like calculators had been caught in a time loop where nothing much has improved.
Then I stumbled upon the NumWorks calculator on some forum. So I downloaded NumWorksGraphingCalculator , and have been using it on my iPhone ever since. It is fantastic: it’s what calculators should be today.
In fact, I bought one of their physical calculators for my youngest to use in school after one day of using NumWorksGraphingCalculator. It is THAT GOOD.

Yes, this is a great one and is free. And the idea is to give you the look and feel of their $100 worth physical calculators, so it doesn’t utilize space very efficiently, or for that matter, is not ‘touch screen’ - you touch the buttons on the interface. But yes, I would like to request the developer to change the form factor suitable for phone and tablet screens if possible. I would love to buy one, just that I don’t have a use case to buy the $100 worth device. So I am quite happy with what they offered me on ipad.

I’d love to purchase this calculator, having used its app for a bit it seems awesome! I just wish you guys were registered with the IBO (international baccalaureate) to take exams with.

I’d like to adjust the amount of decimals provided in an answer. I’m working with very small numbers extracted from very large numbers, and all the calculators I’ve come across always round up too early when I need an exact number. I can’t find an option to change this, in fact, I can’t find options at all...

A great calculator, but not for my needs. A settings interface would be amazing. Please address this.

This is wonderful. Would be even better if the keys have a pressed/highlighted state upon pressing/highlighting.

Update: found out they have a physical product. Had to buy that because I just can’t stand the keys on the phone version. The web simulator works better.

My only request is that they add haptic feedback to the buttons. Or at least button click noises.

good but how do i use shift it doesnt work when i hold it i cant press the other buttons

I own two of these calculators and I can say they are the best. I love the MicroPython. Now it’s on my phone for free! Awesome.

I really like NumWorksGraphingCalculator. It makes Algebra very early for me. It’s a little annoying to use the arrows to move around, but besides that very good app.🙂

Very sharp & clean looking. But there is a lot of wasted space around the perimeter of NumWorksGraphingCalculator , needlessly crunching down the button & calc display. Looks nice but would look better without this wasted space. As is, it's too small to use on this phone.

I know someone who has the physical calculator and they recommend NumWorksGraphingCalculator and it is AMAZING! My main pet peeve with graphing calcs is 'arc sin' is written as 'sin^-1' but on NumWorksGraphingCalculator its written as 'a sin' LOVE IT!

NumWorksGraphingCalculator should not be free and is the best calculator app for the iPad

Totally unintuitive. I finally figured out how to enter a function but when I press graph it just kicks me out to the menu.
Buy the new Casio 9750GIII for $45 dollars and forget this unintuitive free crap.

It works great but haptic feedback is missing and makes using it confusing
