Beware of making credit card payments

Before one could pay your bill by credit card. The process has now changed. Now if you do so MTN stores your credit card details and only in the T&Cs they tell you that you are actually creating a mobile wallet profile MOMO. Cannot pay unless you have a wallet with them.

How does Africas largest mobile Network Operator make such a horrific app? Why do you get interrupted with a “processing” popup whenever you tap on any menu option? This makes doing anything in the app super tedious!! Why can I not have 2 SIM cards associated with one profile? Frequent disconnections and errors too.

Can't RICA

Tried on multiple iOS devices, the app doesn't allow for self-RICA. The photos you take (selfie and of your ID) are all stretched and won't allow you past next step. Customer support was unable to help, so, since I'm abroad (and can't visit a store) my phone number will be lost.
