I just got a new prescription and wanted to see how accurate this was. Followed all the guidelines to a t and it got my PD and cylinder correct, but the sphere was way off. I did this 3 times in a row, I got the wrong sphere measurement every time. Oddly it was the same incorrect value each time. I’d recommend if you don’t actually know your prescription to go get it checked by your eye doctor. I purchased a new pair of glasses online with a year-old prescription I hadn’t used before and it was ever so slightly off. It drove me crazy and I had to use it for about 2 months before I could get new glasses with a fixed Rx, which I just received a couple days ago. Everything was corrected by my doctor and my vision is now super sharp and comfortable. So all I’m saying is, it’s better to have it examined by a doctor than to be stuck with the wrong Rx. Even if it’s a hair off, you’ll notice it, and it won’t feel good

LiingoRxReader worked fine and the process to actually scan my glasses, using my phone/computer paired together, was fairly quick and easy. However, I did the entire process twice, and my prescription details didn’t show on my computer screen as expected. I did it a third time thinking to enable pop-ups/redirects, and then it did work, and my prescription details showed up on my computer screen, but it was really frustrating that that wasn’t initially part of the instructions. Not sure if that’s accurate for all browsers, but I was using Chrome. Customer service was GREAT to respond (via text) when I had issues, so that was definitely a bonus!

The fact they asked me to pull out a magnetic card at first worried me but then realized I wouldn’t be showing any personal info and could simply use a “loyalty” card for the local gas station or casino

This is such an easy to use app- I was able to get my prescription so conveniently. I have a previous prescription from a while back and this gave me the correct prescription. My favorite part of LiingoRxReader is the ability to try on eyeglasses without having to go into a store to do it. I loved the whole process and how convenient it was!

I have a prescription from about 4 years ago that’s now technically expired but the prescription still works great for me. I used LiingoRxReader to upload my prescription and the numbers match almost identically. If you need to update your prescription this is the way to go. It’s like magic!

Absolutely terrible app I’ve tried for over an hour to scan my glasses and it says that it can’t read my lens. Definitely isn’t user friendly to hold your phone and glasses then tilt then up/down after awhile it will make your arms shake trying to hold it still. My wife even tried her brand new glasses she got last week to no avail. Like others I thought I found a free way to get optical numbers to be buy discounted glasses well I got nothing but frustration. I find the perfect reviews suspect for me this is two thumbs way down.

Very easy to use. I used a rewards card instead of a valid credit card (duh). Glasses came and were great but the prescription is not perfect. Tried it 3 other times and got different results every time. Innovative idea although I think it needs to be idiot proof because I obviously am not doing it right

Found prescription and pupil distance in less than 15 minutes. Was immediately taken to the account creation screen and had my prescription shown to me. Overall the fastest and easiest I’ve had access to new glasses in my life.

I attempted this 3 times. First 2 times no prescription popped up so I read the reviews. One suggested allowing pop-ups/redirects. Did this and tried a 3rd time. Still didn’t work. The worst thing is I have my prescription but it’s not clearly organized and I just needed something that could literally interpret a paper prescription. Whatever. Also the holding the glasses while holding your phone is extremely annoying.

I didn’t want to go they the whole eye exam ordeal since I knew my prescription has not changed. Found this free app and was able to accurately test my prescription and did not have to go anywhere. Truly an amazing app. Give it a try!

This is incredibly easy to use. Anyone saying that it’s not accurate is not being honest. My prescription was spot on!! Also anyone saying it isn’t user friendly; sorry but it’s a user error.

This is a scam. Positive reviews are fake. Firstly it ask you to place a credit card on screen to it can size itself, really? Then when you’re done it says sorry you must be doing something wrong and asks for personal info and email so they can help. The process is difficult but I had everything clamped and fixed so there was no shaking, it isn’t meant to work but rather get emails of people who need glasses so they can sell the list.

LiingoRxReader is completely bad. I had a very hard time scanning the so called card to my computer, and I really don’t understand why you even have to hold up one of your personal cards. That makes no sense and it seems sketchy and scammy. My husband and I both tried to scan the thing with the dots and it would not scan at all to save our lives. So NOPE! It’s a complete bust. I guess I’m better off heading to the optometrist. 😂

I needed to get the distance from one eye to another and it worked great. It also gave me a complete prescription that was almost identical to my prescription from my optometrist. I am very impressed with the results.

I was very skeptical, but it worked!.. i did try two different times and got two different prescriptions but they weren’t off by much.

There seems to be no way to skip the scan when you first download LiingoRxReader . I already have an account. I should be able to just log in.

My experience with Liingo the company so far has been excellent. Customer service is top notch.

This was so easy to use. Got my glasses fast and they were better quality than what I was getting at 3x the cost. I won’t go anywhere else. LiingoRxReader made it hassle free too. Genius!

It seems like it can’t scan the glasses no matter how times I try. It says it’s got it, and to hold it right there and then move the arms, and then? When it’s scanning the results after telling me to put my glasses back down? Asks if I’d like to ask for help. Hah. This seems pretty useless. Only worth it if you have a paper copy of your prescription, otherwise don’t bother.

My mother could not do this alone, this is no where near user friendly. Also you could of stated you need not only a smart phone and a tablet or computer. Not enough information before we had to download app. State things clearly and also some people CANNOT see without their glasses so how can they follow instructions if they can see the dots clearly?

The darn thing needs you to be EXACT. If you shake a little too much, it’ll have you redo it again, and again until you get it right! But overall I appreciate this “lenses reader”, it’s awesome!

It took quite a while to get the eye scan and glasses scan right and I’m still not sure I will be getting my glasses after all that. Made me nervous to hold a card up to my head and give an AI access to my camera. Hope my glasses actually appear in the mail!

Incredible technology. What a simple idea. I love that I can get my Rx without having to go to a doctor or optician and have them read it for me. This thing nailed my Rx EXACTLY. Thank you Liingo.

Dumb. They collect personal info and email address before it shows prescription and then you never see the prescription to know if it’s accurate before ordering. THEN, there is no way to delete the account.

I couldn’t get past syncing to my computer. I was doing literally what the very annoying voice was telling me to do but it just kept repeating the instructions over and over again.

It’s just not worth the headache. Thanks for nothing.

Suspect a lot of fake reviews put on here. Scans you and tell you to switch to a pc and create an account then I guess it eats your data cause it stopped working.

The scanner function doesn’t even work and I tried on two different phones
