Installed it and it would not connect to the device even though it’s listed, followed the useless instructions and still did not work

Deleted it and won’t waste more time on it

When setting up, AndroidRemote does not identify devices as named but simply shows devices by number.
AndroidRemote was unable to connect (using either of it’s engines) to any of my devices... finally just gave up.

You can not see the screen of your android device. This is meaningful only if the device is TV.

Tried installing to control my Huawei but it keeps auto selecting a TV brand. Then it shows how to find local IP on a tv. No way to connect to Huawei. Looks very amateur.

Finds my device but can’t connect. Useless.

Ok app works ok but the keyboard it forces you to use is pure garbage.

The device moves too slow and it doesn’t have the mouse feature. Occasionally freezes.

Opens an ad every few seconds while you’re in the middle of typing a password. No better then using a remote.

In my personal experience it did work but, the response time is pretty slow. But other than that, it’s a good app.

Not sure why so many complaints 🤔 I mean AndroidRemote isn’t boujee or anything but it does the job just fine. You open AndroidRemote and it gives you options for which remote you would like to use. You choose the remote and then it guides you through connecting the remote to your tv. It does show up as numbers instead of the TV name but easy fix.I didn’t experience the delays, in fact it is faster than my normal remote and I don’t have to be anywhere near the tv sensor, only within Bluetooth range. I haven’t explored AndroidRemote thoroughly but it even has a keyboard for typing which is a BIG relief. It’s great. GET IT, TRY IT, AND DONT TRASH IT WHEN YOU CANT FIGURE IT OUT.

Settings -> device preferences -> about -> status
After you’ve clicked on status, the number you want to line up with AndroidRemote is the second number under “IP address”. If your tv is different then just google where to find the IP address on your tv and that should get you to the same place.
