Amazing learning app

I am so glad that I don’t have to pay for it and I am very excited to learn on my keyboard and it gives you the option to play on Piano instead if you don’t have your own and I will say but it didn’t show me how to play some of the keys which made it very hard and stressful and I really like this game so I really recommend it and it’s perfect for people who want to play this app because I mean I do because I have a keyboard and I didn’t know if I could ever play so I am very glad for this game it’s an amazing learning app and it gives you the option to learn more I guess but when I do try to play in the scientist I couldn’t because the days were really hard for me but it it wouldn’t teach me the ways and it wouldn’t stop and put it say play this note but other than that it’s perfect. I would also recommend not getting simply this app if you want to have a free app because wir only teaches you one lesson until you HAVE to play for the other lessons :)

It’s a really good program

I really like this because well it’s really easy and I got used to the colors for the thing like the notes and all that and I’ve already gotten quite a bit into it and it’s really easy I’m really glad there’s no ads on it I also am really happy that like they have like really friendly songs and also another reason why I’ll give this a five star is because well it’s easier because you can understand it a lot easier and it has good ratings my dad has been wanting me to get Piano for a while so I am I’m going to use this happened for a good day it’s gonna be really good to use like or like at a family reunion but thank you guys so much for making Piano.❤️❤️Developers please give me a little bit of a review and tell me a little bit of tips I didn’t know about this too

Extremely Limited!

I have been taking this app lessons since I was six, and now I am seventeen, and I have advanced greatly. I can now play songs without even needing help. As a seventeen year old, I wanted to find an app to improve my skills without having to pay money. When I press on the experienced button in the beginning of Piano , it still takes me to easy things I already know how to do! Please make the experienced button take you to challenging lessons that can teach you different things than the NOTES of the this app! My second complaint is that it only lets you learn for TEN MINUTES a DAY?! Like, are you that thirsty for money? If you make it an hour I would be happy, because I usually practice this app for an hour and a half daily. But, TEN minutes?! That’s not nearly enough for a person to learn ANYTHING without buying your premium! I deleted Piano recently because it just didn’t help me at ALL! If you’re a professional this app player and don’t want to spend money on a music app, don’t even download this, it won’t help you AT ALL.

Really great piano app except 1 problem...

Hi. I’ve been going on Piano every day learning this app but I didn’t really have time to learn more then 15 lessons a day. Or whatever it’s called. So this is the problem. I really like Piano, but it has limited time. WHY?! You always have to get pro and it’s like 30 dollars a month and the one with 9 is still a lot. Like why? It’s like on really weird ads they keep asking you to buy their stuff. And this one really does. I really have been tired of seeing those ads that says “your lesson time for today is over” So I was wondering fix the monthly price a little? I know you guys need money but other people are tired of seeing those ads and having to buy 30 dollars just for a month like that’s- way too expensive so please fix that, And one more thing, you have to pay 30 dollars just for this app songs?! Please fix this thanks

Fantastic app for guitar and piano

I’ve been using Yousician since late April thanks to a lot of additional at home time. In the last 6-7 months I’ve seen HUGE progression in my ability to play guitar. The gamification of the learning process has kept me engaged and coming back more and more to try to improve. There’s a nice comfortable learning pace and if it’s too easy for you it gives you the option to test into more challenging lessons. I really really like Piano and recommend it to anyone who expresses interest to learn an instrument. There are is one BIG thing that I wish Piano offered to make learning even easier: the ability to see the entirety of the song whether it’s tabs or sheet music, it would make memorizing and practicing parts of a song a lot simpler. As it is currently, I pause and transcribe the tablature into a note book to see the whole thing.

Highly recommend, but the songs…

Greetings developers! I’ve been on a yousician plan for years! It’s so much fun, and extremely effective!!! I highly recommend it to anyone! It’s made very clear time and love was poured into the Yousician Program!! However, although I’m not here to accuse you in any way whatsoever, I was curious…. Can you add some Disney songs? I love everything about Piano , but did notice they didn’t have any classic Disney songs. Maybe you could add things like “Encanto” “Coco” “Aladdin” etc. Just figured it might brighten the experience! Again thanks so much for Piano, I appreciate it! Please take this in to consideration and respond if you get a chance 😜 I would love to hear from you!!

Song Library problems

‪I was considering a subscription so the kids could start learning guitar/ukulele BUT Yousician’s music library is sorely lacking and even biased. It’s all been “Columbused”! They have NO African American artists in the Funk category. NONE, as in zero, zilch, in FUNK?!? They include only 2 African American Artists in the Blues category. They have NO Latin music category and I could not find a single Latin song in any category, not even Latin Jazz, and there was NO Soul/R&B category either which is probably good since their music librarian apparently has an aversion to people of color. And it follows that there are no Hip-Hop or Rap categories. One has to go pretty far out of one’s way to create a library of American music that is this non-inclusive.

Please take the blinders off your ears, or hire a new music curator. How can you entirely exclude important, gigantic artists and genres of American music??
I’m sticking with Playground Sessions, which has been great for me for this app (I’ve progressed more in 6 months than I did over 3+ years of in person lessons.)

Teaches too fast and hand placement is wrong

Don’t get me wrong, Piano is great, but the reason it’s three stars is because it teaches too fast and the hand placement is incorrect.
I feel that Piano expects me to know chords, but I have no idea what that is, and though I missed every chord in the practice, it still made me do a song with mostly chords.
Then in the practice, I went to the bottom of my screen and pressed the hands for the placement, since Piano said I was doing all of the wrong notes although I was, and the hand placement was uncomfortable, and wrong.
You’re supposed to place your fingers two keys away from each other, putting your left pinky on the “C” key, and then lay the rest of your fingers on the remaining white keys.
Then, you put your right thumb on the “C” key that’s two keys away from your left thumb, and place your remaining finger on the next four white keys.

100 percent recommended!

This is the best app ever! The only problem is the subscription, I don’t wanna spend money LOL, anyway here is my story. When I first saw the ad, I was like, why not give it a try? So I tried and it didn’t go so well, but in the middle of Piano , I was getting better and better. Today I was doing awesome in this app. I tried guitar and didn’t work out. So I decided to use this app instead of guitar. It’s hard to tune the guitar, which I don’t like doing. So after a lot of practice thanks to Yousician, It had me be a pianist. That’s is the conclusion of the story. Now please do me a favor and download Piano if you are beginning the this app.

Skipping/stuttering

I liked Piano and I thought it was worth the $ for the first 3 months but now it’s skipping really bad. Tried using my MacBook instead of my iPad Pro and it was worse. I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m getting to more complicated songs or if an update changed something. I’m only halfway through level 7 so the songs aren’t that difficult. I do use a midi adapter and never had a problem with it reading the right note. It also drains my iPad battery really fast and I have the midi plugged in so I can’t charge it at the same time. As far as content goes I don’t think it is great for learning to read music and they barely go over timing/counting. The rest of the music theory/knowledge section is lacking as well. Also, I’d like to be able to customize my scales.

Love Musician

You should totally get this game, you can play so many songs and you can pick your song my daughter loves playing it she cannot get off the this app and you learn different songs and how to play you learn how to play the this app with your black and white do you know how to play so many notes like CDEFNG so if you want to learn how to play this app and it has a free then I would recommend Piano because if you were in will live you learn it but you also have to pay for this week and you get to learn that’s a double win for me.

It was good . . .

Piano was so good! It always worked really well and I never had any problems. Until yesterday. I don’t know if it got updated, but the picture for Piano is different and so is the loading screen. That’s not the problem, though. In fact I liked the new screen better. The problem is, when you go onto the home screen, and click on the song you want to play, something happens. You go to the page with the parts and stuff, and you click play. It starts, but then all of the sudden, the song stops, right before the first note. It’s not my internet, because I tried watching a video after it happened and it worked, no problem. Fix this please.

Sufficient, but with issues

You can learn to play this way, though there are serious issues with combating the sound output of Piano . I basically had to turn the sound way down in order for it to recognize my playing, or I was forced to play very loudly, which my neighbors didn’t like.

Piano will give you pop-up notifications while your in Piano playing a song, which makes literally no sense at all. Advertising a new song while i’m attempting to play another only hinders the experience.

During a 30 minute play session, the continuity is poor. I spent the better part of a lesson learning chords only to have Piano circle back to a more basic, and irrelevant, song I played previously, which wasn’t even a part of the learning course. This has occurred several times.

I’d be able to overlook all of this if it weren’t for the $30 price tag. I’ve used their guitar app in the past and didn’t experience near the number of issues. Hopefully they fix this one, but I’d hold off on investing in the paid version for now.

Best piano app ever!!!

I absolutely love Piano♥️! I played a little bit of this app at school but never knew how to play with both hands. I constantly was searching for this app app and a lot of them would not let you advance unless you payed😣. Piano lets you play 10min each day without having to pay and with just playing a few minutes each day I’ve seen results! I recommend Piano to everyone who wants to learn how to play this app or just wants to keep advancing in there skills. I’m considering paying to practice for as long as I want and it will be worth every cent!

Great way to have consistent daily practice

It has become a joyous daily routine of mine to engage in Piano. Once your brain starts processing the language of this app and music, everyday grows more enjoyable. Even the times where it is quite literally painful to try to grasp understanding of certain melodic intervals or chord progressions, the more you learn the more meaningful the pain was. It really begins to pay off 6-8 months into this, plus the developers who create the in-app songs to learn from are very talented themselves. Thanks yousician.

Great but for one flaw

Ok I’m editing this review because seriously the developers fumbled at the one yard line here. Ok for starters please level the learning curve a bit. You’ll be cruising along and then wham you hit what feels like impossible tasks. Also a major fix should be done to change the “hand change”. When you have to move your hand the key board on the screen doesn’t change until the note is a millisecond away. As soon as the last note at that hand position is played the finger assignment at the bottom needs to change. I love Piano and I’ve made progress but these little flaws are just maddening.

New version won’t let you actually practice the piano

The new version is frustrating. Mandatory this app puzzles in the middle of practice time takes away from actually playing the this app. I am not against the puzzles themselves, however, when I’m practicing the this app I would like to actually be playing the keyboard, especially when my daily practice time is limited.

Update: even though the games aren’t all bad, I still think that the this app games should be a separate option from “practice” time. I sit down to practice this app and shouldn’t have to spend it playing an iPhone game instead of playing the this app.

Near perfect

Piano has definitely moved me ahead. I realized I was memorizing fingers, not really reading the music, with a book. Jumping between pop and classical tracks in Piano, and having a wider selection of music, is keeping me out of that rut.

I wish Piano had an “always use MIDI” mode where I could revoke mic permission and also not go through the “Hey, a MIDI input! Do you want to use MIDI?” dialog *every session.* Just be like, “Whoa, there’s no MIDI” if it fails to connect. The MIDI is so much more accurate for me.

But overall, I like it a lot.

I love it !

I just started playing this app about a couple months ago and I was getting bored of the same songs on my beginners book so I tried this and I love it. I downloaded every this app app there is and they Esther don’t work or you have to pay. But this I’m not paying and I get about 30min a day why are people saying they only get 10?Anyways I’m 12 and it’s easy to learn because you can practice and it tells you which notes you did wrong.I love it the songs are actually good!

Best piano app ever

I love Piano so much I tried simply this app and it wasn’t my style but then I have Piano extra for find needed it I tried it and it was a blast I had so much fun and learned so quickly from it if you are deciding to get it you should definitely get it it’s amazing with any kind of this app thing you have now I’m only a nine-year-old so that’s my decision but if you don’t think that this is a good app you don’t have to try it out but to me it’s amazing and it’s so much fun

By

I’ve actually improved

Love Piano. It’s actually gotten me to consistently practice, and I’ve found that I’m less hesitant to sit down and play because I know there’s a lesson already prepared for me to follow.

I’ve used it almost daily for a few months, and I’m already much better than I was after a year of self practice.

Thanks a ton!

Good for beginners but needs skip option

for the most part it's a really good app. I really like the fact that they included a mixer so you can turn off musicians built in this app sound when using a midi keyboard and use garage band or something else in the background. The only thing that would be nice to have is the ability to optionally skip components inside a single lesson because a lot of times I want to be able to play some song but not have to be forced to train all the small melodic motifs beforehand since they're usually quite tedious.

By

Good but annoying bug

Piano is really good for learning this app but there’s one thing that’s super annoying. When you are learning new chords/notes it asks you to play them, and Piano often doesn’t pick up on it. It’s annoying because you cannot skip past it or reach any other lessons if you haven’t completed it, even if you are playing it correctly- so you cannot move foreword because the programming doesn’t pick up on it

By

Good but...

This is a good app in my opinion but, something isn’t right. First, I used to have real this app lessons and this is not easy to play on. Second, every time I tap a note, it doesn’t play. Third, why money? Does every game have money in it? Fourthly, can you make the keys on the this app bigger, they are to small and I know small, I’m short myself. Anyways, I just got this game some bugs but I’m sure as I play it more I will get used to it soooo...keep up the work!🎹🎼🎹

Playing issues

Piano is great except for the part where it sometimes doesn’t record a note you actually played. I’ve been having trouble with this and i just started yesterday. It makes me frustrated because i’m a perfectionist and it’s frustrating to see you got a note “wrong” just because it didn’t record it. Also, I don’t like the fact that you can’t play other songs for free but that doesn’t bother me as much. I really do suggest you don’t use Piano. Use simply this app or something else.

By

Why can’t I just play part of the song

I believe that this is a great app for beginners! It gives you choices on what you wish to study. All around great app. However, it annoys me that I cannot choose which section of the song to practice. I don’t want to replay the whole song over again. It would be much easier if I could just practice the stuff I need to work on.

By

Better than simply piano

Something about simply this app makes it crash all the time and Piano doesn’t do that. It’s helpful in a bunch of ways other this app apps aren’t and it’s easy to use. Loving it so far.

By

Good but annoying

It is a very good app but when it ask me to play a note I always get it wrong because I have to play a half note higher for example it tells me to play an E and I play an F it says it is correct I actually play an E and it says I am wrong either my this app is out of tune or there is a very Annoying bug

By

I like this app better than joytunes

I like Piano way better than joytunes app because it has more songs that you can play for free I can not aford to get premium so i got Piano I love it so much I play the keyboard and it works so well.

By

Why?

It works the same as Yousician does and you have to pay for membership for most of the songs. So why? It works exactly the same. At least in Yousician you have many instruments to pick from but in this game you don’t so why pay in Yousician to play a ukulele and also pay for this app in this game. I just don’t see any reason for this.

By

It’s a really good app!

Anyone who’s trying to learn this app should get Piano! So far I’m learning a lot of songs without the premium account, I think Piano is actually better than Simply this app! Thanks

By

its okay

so, for the most part, Piano is pretty good, but for me, it kind of frustrated me. when i first downloaded it, it made me the pkay the classical part and the pop part. since i've played this app before, i disliked it when, at the classical part, it told me to put my left thumb on middle c and right thumb on d. of course, it was because if the song i was playing.

with the pop music part, they only taught you the e minor and a major chord ( i think ), but the song had you play the e minor chord with different keys instead of b, like c, for example. idk why but it made me mad.

overall, a pretty good app.
