An OK app

It’s an ok app for free music but I only have one artist that I am subscribed to but it plays other music that is not even related to my artist. I try to click my Radio but it doesn’t even play me music that I want. Also, when I try to skip the song, it says that I have to pay a certain amount of money for AD’S and not for skipping.

Doesn't work

Totally love the concept, making your own radio and kinda making it into a social media platform too. Really, great idea. Idk if my app is just glitching thought because it won't play music, I'll try to put on my radio, and it never has worked for me. I made sure to double check I was connected to my Apple Music in settings, still doesn't work. Also, very very slow in the menus when you're making a new radio. Still though, love the concept

Why?!

So when I first got CodaMusic I thought it was a pretty decent app but then only one day after using it I couldn’t access it and every time I tried to get into it it kicked me out immediately. And I have to re-download CodaMusic to get in.

Promising but...

As someone who likes pandora because of the algorithm, coda seems promising. But I didn’t have long with it before it starts asking to pay for it and won’t let you continue. I’m fine with paying but I need more time than testing for about 5 songs before it stops.

Wish I could add genres to what I like instead of only artists. I don’t really pay too much attention to what artists I like but I know what genres I like.

Add genres for different decades.

UI is decent. Now playing screen is a bit busy and the artist/song aren’t centered on the album art.

It seems while airplaying it to my Apple TV, I can’t adjust the volume from my phone for some reason.

No CarPlay ability.

When it works it provides a great selection

CodaMusic shows a lot of promise and provides excellent variety...when it works. However whenever the Facebook ad shows up CodaMusic will not go past the ad and is useless.

it’s just annoying

i mean coda music like works for me but when i wanna listen to other people’s radios it’s brings me an ad and i try to x it out but it just sends me to google and say sorry we can’t open this add and i’m like what!?? so half of the time i’m listening to my own music
and also it won’t let you skip after you skip a bunch of times so i keep skipping because i don’t like the song and then i wanna skip again and usually i will be listening to a song i don’t like

Good at its job, needs polishing

+ + + Immediately upon first use i was given good recommendations of new songs and artists and introduced to detailed settings that allowed me to customize my recommendations

- - - cannot easily import Apple Music library and playlists; fully switching to CodaMusic MUST be convenient

- - search is not as intuitive as that of Apple Music

- - some songs/artists available on Apple Music don’t appear on CodaMusic

- no indicator of the explicit version of an album, resulting in confusion due to seemingly duplicate albums

Awesome app. Was looking an app like this!

CodaMusic is amazing in my point of view! Apple Music is so useless to be honest because u need to pay for the songs. Coda is free! Loving it but I just wish that there are some songs that are popular like someone you loved because that’s an amazing song but it didn’t come out. Overall amazing app you should download it!

Kind of like the app

I just got CodaMusic and so far I like it but I only used it for a while and now when I skip a song is always asks me if I want to pay 2.99 a month and I don’t but the point is it won’t let me change the song with asking me that

Great app, but it won't always let you skip a song

It's a great app, in all honesty the only problem I have with it is that after a certain amount of songs skipped it won't let you skip anymore. Still a great app for free music though!

Awesome but needs redesign

The concept and features of this are exactly what so many music heads have been looking for. However the design is rugged and hard to navigate. With a more simplistic and user friendly design, this would be the best music app in existence

Great app.

This is a cool app with some nice features and a sleek UI. Nice for easily discovering great new songs and artists. Very easy to link with your streaming service. It has a couple of bugs but nothing too bad. Would be perfect if it had scrobbling support!

App goes deep into the music I like

I really like the simplicity of engagement that CodaMusic offers, and the ability to really get as granular as I want about the music types that I like. Then the friend sourcing aspect of likeminded music list enters is a clever addition. Smartly done!

Better then SoundCloud

I like SoundCloud but this is a good app to like it better than SoundCloud

Really Good Quality :)

The audio is really nice and CodaMusic is made really well! Not at all what I expected... Right at the start it gives you a two minute quiz to find your kind of style! You get to add your favorite artists and discover new ones really easily. I love how this is set up and I’ve never been more satisfied with a music app before!!

Best Music app out there

Love the ability to constantly discover new bands or really delve deep into bands I casually enjoy but don’t have an extensive knowledge of there works.

It’s amazing but

I love CodaMusic so much but the only thing that I hate about it is that I need internet to use it but overall I love CodaMusic

Password issues Fixed

Thanks Coda for your immediate response to my password issue. I am now able to enjoy this new experience in streaming music.

Exciting

So far so good with this great app. Really looking forward to finally getting decent recommendations for new music. This is a must for all music fans and it will only get better as word gets out

Wow. Just incredible

As someone who is always on the search for new music, CodaMusic is a godsend. It’s almost overwhelming how much new music I find that I love every time I open CodaMusic. It’s become my primary method of finding new music. Love love love it

App is loaded with Ads

I can’t even tell you how CodaMusic works because it would freeze constantly due to the amount of ads they load into it. Every time I would hit play on a radio station it froze. The design of it is nice but if you are going to offer a free version maybe take some notes from Spotify?

Cool idea, horrible app

The usability of CodaMusic is terrible. It takes forever and multiple tries to do the simplest actions, feels totally unresponsive. Very frustrating to use.

EVERYONE NEEDS THIS

This is the music app I’ve been waiting for!! great way to share music with your friends :)

Great app, but needs a few Improvements.

I gave CodaMusic 5 stars because it's a fantastic music discovery tool, and the amount of control you have over your radio is fantastic. The community tab is also great, and will just get better as more people start using coda. That said, there are a few things missing or in need of improvement. As for features I'd like to see added, it would be great if you could create a decade specific station, ie 1960s, or 90s etc. It would also be great if there was a way to quickly select whether you want instrumental tracks, or tacks featuring vocals. This would be very useful for playlists featuring jazz, instrumental hip hop, or EDM. Another welcome addition would be a list of recently played tracks. Sometimes I've liked a song, and then refr shed my radio, and have no way to see what the previous song was.

As for UI issues, sometimes it is hard to close the player screen, or close out of artist searches (the part you drag down). Another issue is that sometimes when you search a song, and then immediately search for an artist, the artist search doesn't work. It would also be nice if the name typed in the search field stayed populated when switching between Song, album, and artist searches. It's easier to hit an x to clear that info than it is to retype an artist name. It would also be nice to know whether thumbs ups and artist blocks are station specific, or are tracked across all stations.

Overall though, I love CodaMusic . It's great for anyone who loves discovering new songs and artists! I've been recommending it to all of my friends, and I can't wait to see how CodaMusic improves in the future!

Love it!!

I love CodaMusic. Totally redesigned what a music app should be. I love the features and LOVE the look.

Awesome!!

Love CodaMusic , very easy to use
