What an expensive mistake that I made. My control4 system at my last home did more, was so much easier, and less costly.

Everything was working fine prior to the update, then after the update I can no longer control my blackout shade on one window with CrestronHome . All other shades work fine and I can control the blackout shade with the control device, just doesn’t respond to the iPhone app

When I try to use this with my Crestron system, I got an error redirecting me to download a “Smart Graphics App”. When I follow the link, it takes me to Pyng, which has been disappointing me with its dated UI for years.

This new app UI update is terrible. Please make this thing simple to use and change images that does not obscure the UI itself. Horrible. Our second home has Lutron which is so much better. Garbage.

This is so clunky. They seem stuck in a programming style that requires a 3 week course. Nothing is instinctive or obvious and just finding your way around requires constant scrolling up and down. So much wasted space on each page. I only agreed to get Crestron pyng as I was promised it will soon integrate with HomeKit.

The thermostat control worked perfect with the last Crestron app, but after we were forced into this new one it didn’t. Now every time I change the heat or cool, it moves but then it goes back to the previous setting in a couple seconds. Please fix this and send an update.

Size of text in app is comically and unusably large.
CrestronHome doesn’t respect or follow the text size you set in your iPhone settings. Makes it difficult and cumbersome to use compared to the old app.

CrestronHome does a good job of integrating the entire home, but navigating it feels like a chore. It desperately needs haptic feedback for certain actions, a cleaner, more intuitive interface, and smoother navigation. I’ve been using it for over a year, and I still find myself lost at times. My whole home setup runs through Crestron, every room, camera, sound system, light, even the pool, but the interface makes it more of a hassle than it should be. If CrestronHome had a more visually appealing GUI, haptic feedback, and a better flow, it’d be a much better experience overall. Crestron really needs to give CrestronHome some attention to keep up with the expectations of today’s users, as it would enhance their product appeal significantly. Honestly, I wouldn’t choose Crestron again purely because of how outdated and clunky CrestronHome feels.

CrestronHome is badly in need of a ui refresh.
It can be slow to respond and there are places where the ui just dead ands or gets into a loop (try adding lights to a custom scene after you have created it).

Great home control app!

Easily the best app to control your home great UI and amazing speed with commands.

We’re in an era where everything is controlled by an app, these things change as quickly as people with various qualifications can update them and every update contains bug fixes. That also means that every update and combination of app integrations also contain new bugs. As an integrator, I have to place my faith in an industry leader to wrestle the moving target and present us with the widest variety of configuration options that are tested and supported by a common manufacturer. Cloud based programming and updates allow me to be a little guy who delivers a quality and consistent outcome to my clients. Be patient and they always seem to iron out the little wrinkles and quirks that are inevitable to our modern devices with visual appeal and an intuitive interface

This is what we have all been waiting for. Beautiful UI. I love my Crestron system!!

Much better than Control4 or any other control system.

We have various systems from the usual suspects at our other homes and nothing is as intuitive to use or as stable as Crestron Home.

When this system is programmed properly it works very well. I have been using my system for several years now and it is very reliable with the occasional reboot required for my cable box typically.

The most recent update that allows for connectivity without the sacrifice of port forwarding and networking knowledge is fantastic!! NAX/NVX controls and recent additions to Crestron Home lineup have allowed for a fairly complicated system to come online in less than a day. Great Job!

I have had several new features added to CrestronHome this past year that have given me additional control of not only CrestronHome but my home. Easy to navigate and love how easy it is to flip between my two homes. Looking to see what else is in store with this platform.

Automation that is done well is key to a logical and sustainable home. Crestron has learned how to capture the best of all systems of the past and funnel it into a well rounded system that is easy to use and understand while being powerful enough to handle the challenges of what an automation system intends to accomplish.

Best home control app from the best Automation company. Way better than RTI and Control 4. I’ve had all three of these and this is by far the best!
