Too many firmware updates and even after so many updates, I don’t find any functions updated and just deleted all my settings and everything has been reset.
CAN YOU PLEASE KEEP THE SETTINGS, NOT CHANGE ANYTHING WHILE A FIRMWARE UPDATES???
Or keep the siren off and make it optional to siren on? Siren became always on after firmware updates and I’m sick and tired of changing settings every time.
App is horrible. It takes between 15-30 seconds to see live camera. When you are trying to see previous live videos it says connecting and takes long time. Notifications of motion movements are delayed. Seconds are crucial when it comes to detecting theft or criminal activities. I have a way smaller camera with different company and I don’t have any issues with VicoHome . I would not recommend this product just based off VicoHome issues.
Please note that this company is giving free cameras in exchange for 5 stars reviews! Their camera and app are worthless. They do not record. They do not load when you are trying to view who is in front of your property. Works well only for the 2 weeks trial period. If you do not sign up for their monthly services your camera it’s worthless! Please stop posting fake reviews. People safety depends on deciding a reliable camera and app. PLEASE stop!!!
The video quality is pretty okay, but boy is the morion sensing and recording useless. It usually starts recoding way too late so what ever it dis pick up, if its not still standing in front of it it either shows nothing or just the back of the thing.
Thats when it decides to record anything thats not either me or my car.
Im having a feeling like its tracking me more than anything. Other people can drive/walk by but it wont pick them up. But me every time I walk by it outside or pull up in my car it starts to record.
Arlo software is better . It is has automatic scheduling to turn camera on automatically only certain hours / days of week. But with this one, there is currently no such feature which means I have to remember to turn motion detection on and off each night and morning 😩
App will have moments where it alerts me that there is movement back to back over 20 times until I delete the all and reload it. When I check the camera there is nothing there. I’ve adjusted the sendup and it still does it. It’s always in the middle of the night. Not sure if it’s picking up insects flying by or what but there’s nothing more annoying that being woken up 20 times to notify you of nothing going on.
Had the Arlo system for years and decided to upgrade. Bought two of your cameras to try them out for 156 dollars. They always go to power save mode when fully charged Wi-Fi goes from strong to nothing. Can’t view anything real time because it says streaming lost reconnect. The settings don’t even work correctly. I am sorely disappointed with your product. I am going back to Arlo cameras. Good luck
I am sometimes unable to hear the live feed audio. I can hear everything perfect on the recordings but if i randomly check the live feed i cant hear anything sometimes. The video quality is good and the detection is good. I really wish they would fix the audio issues and that the recording wasnt just 20 seconds, i think at least 30 seconds should be the minimum if not more.
I would give this camera a five star rate if it would integrate with Google Home or Alexa. It is much better than Arlo pro but without integration it is not as appealing.I would update my rating if that google home or Alexa integration is made available.
VicoHome freezes after viewing live. Please help!!!
I’ve put a micro sd card in there and when I try to look at the footage it said “Error” you won’t be able to see any of the footage from the camera but from the most part it works for just live stream. Camera doesn’t have a long battery life you have to charge it like once every week “not as advertised”
This Camera definitely does it’s job!! I have had a few cameras in the past that said they did the same kind of things as this camera. But was rough Quality and battery life etc. this Camera is actually very good quality video wise and the battery life is amazing as well!!!! The only down side is you have to pay to keep recordings and you can change much notification wise atleast via phone. But the live connection when I am not home works amazing and even the microphone is great!!! Deff recommended! Specially such a great camera at a decent price!
It's easy to use and control the cams with.
However I wish VicoHome would support multi device login with the same user ID. You have to login everytime you switch devices, as it errors and kicks you out. eg ipad to iPhone.

it is a wireless camera and it is very easy to install on the wall. the picture is clear and it can record the video. Motion detection is very useful for the front door. Even at night, the vision is still good for me

App works fine for me, I’m thrilled. The camera is excellent quality, all the features work perfect with high definition and scope to record things. You can zoom-in the on app and download videos. Also had an SD slot. You need a really highspeed connection for the features to work seamlessly otherwise I imagine it will buffer. Wish there was a way to turn off camera from phone.
At first I had some issues with the camera. But with the help of customer service it works great now. Got 3 of them and the battery life is great 2. It’s been 2 weeks and I didn’t have to charge them so far!
Love this! Have had it for almost 2 months and I have only had to charge it one time for 4 hours!! 😁 It always picks up movement even in the dark. I will say it picks up a lot of unnecessary things but I think I could turn it off if I looked deeper into the settings. Overall a good cheap camera. 110% recommend. ☺️
This camera is great. The quality of picture is perfect. You can see anything at night without lights on. It’s very easy to setup. What I love the best is the wire free .I don’t have to make a long specific wiring issue to have it working.
It is 100% wireless security camera. Great quality. It is awesome when it come to image, video, and sound quality. Plus, it has person alerts and alarm sound.
Adjustable motion detection sensitivity is a crucial feature for me. I found that "low" setting worked well. For my other cameras without this feature, I am getting way too many false alarms.
The Quality of the picture is very clear, even when I put it behind a window. The battery life of the camera is very long. I have used the camera for 17 days straight and its life is still above half. It is easy to install the camera and it has many features.

Picture quality and night vision is great and I love the two way mic. Going on six months and the battery life is great. I do tend to charge them once a month when the battery is still like 25%. I highly recommend this security camera.
Easy to use, you need a memory card of up to 128 GB (not included) and a 6700mAh rechargeable battery that with a full charge of 8 hours (cable included) you can use for approximately 6 months. You can use the “this app” application to connect to your camera 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in the world.
Once I turn on the camera, it works perfectly. The picture resolution looks good, the Night vision is also very good, the picture is very clear . The motion sensor is very responsive as well. I have attached a few pictures showing the quality of the camera. I am very happy with this camera. I love it!!!
It works great. Night vision isn't too bad, quality isn't bad. Clear up close but zoom gets a little blurry, but not too bad. I've had it out for about 2 weeks and it's still above 80%. So battery life is awesome. I would recommend if you want something easy to put up, and easy to access the feed. It was even easier sharing it to my girlfriends phone.
Was a very easy setup. Excellent camera. Quality picture. VicoHome is very easy to download and use. Has many different options to use. IE, light, sound, alarm etcetera.
This company use AI. You never speak to a human. They use up your data by sending 40 to 100 pictures of time what is shared is not even happening in the picture. They have a scan of your code for the hacker. This is not a company to be recommended because they do not respond to the problem but always stating their policy about the problems. It appears someone is sabotaging your camera data. The camera is great but the company is not to be trusted. I am just waiting for my expiration date because I was told that they were not going to give me a refund.
Installed VICOHOME CQ1 wireless solar camera out by my gate, under the eve of my wood shed and a hundred feet away from my WIFI. Seems to work and record just fine. I can mirror videos to my TV and I can email videos to anyone or my own email. It would be great if I could operate it with my MAC BOOK. I haven't signed up for the subscription to use other features. I just don't think I need those other features.
Like many reviews about the company dishonest hidden lies when buying two outdoor cameras the was a clear option use an sd card or if you want to upgrade you can go to the cloud option.. This company are rubbing bast...ds They included a system to block many using the ad method. I had mine 2 years and it was fine in that period. Now this company have applied a cloud which is not allowing me to check when an activity should be monitored.. Amazon was my source of purchase so Amazon and trading standards will be advised too implement action against the company Outfit be warned don't buy any items from this company and look at the fire reviews from others. I purchased two as a trial attempt of setting up my own security system. The app was easy download on iPhone, the camera link up process is very easy and straight forward for a non tech savy person. I now have five total. All work amazing. Customer service via email has been good to guide me when I had questions about one going off line. I have had my first two for a 28 days and they are still at 92%. You have the option to set the detection sensitivity- low medium or high. The higher the easier it picks up movement including a bee or spiders. You have the option to alert passers by with an audible alarm (siren) or with flashing lights, you can speak two way thru the app to whomever is setting it off. You can even set the amount of time the siren or alarm goes off. The alarm sound level can also be set to the loudness you want. The battery life is reallly good on mine and the app notifies me within 3-5 seconds of it sending motion. They company offers a free solar panel or a free camera if you purchase one, you request that complimentary gift via email. I use mine as battery only but the company and Amazon both sell solar panels if you opt for that. My only issue and I mean ONLY is the app notifies me great but the sound of the notification is not as loud as I wish it were and I have my phone on the highest setting ring tone wise. All other notifications I receive when volume is up at its highest, I would rank 10/10. The app has no way to change the sound level of your notification. I give the cameras 10/10- all five of them. I give the app 9/10, only because there is a 3-5 second delay sometimes. The volume of the notification not being able to be adjusted bothers me- I’d give that aspect 7/10. But overall these are a great value, great ease in setup and viewing, great customer service, my only recommendation is make the app have the option to raise the notification level higher where it’s more audible like a text tone is. It can be heard- but not as loudly as a text tone, which actually wakes me up.
Awful product, very confusing!
This has been a very frustrating system. Every time something happens with the Internet, or password needs to be changed to the Internet creates problems. Currently, we cannot get this to reset. We have removed the app from the phone re-added it. We have rebooted it by pressing them button on the top we have tried to scan the Information to try to get it loaded and working that isn’t working. I changed my Internet name and password hoping that would help that isn’t working. We have tried now for almost a week. I have contacted Support, which is a laughable matter. They take your money, but there’s no number you can call to speak to a human. You send the email message and no one ever gets back to you to call you or talk to you horrible service and I paid for a year.
Do NOT install this app on a Windows 10 system. When I downloaded, I got about a dozen unwanted and redundant apps - burned up an hour of my uninstalling them. Beware!

The vico camera was defective. There is poor customer service. After 3 months, I finally got email response saying they would refund price. Next day they said they couldn't send refund. This company is not reputable, they outright lie. Red flag red flag. Poor company, poor products

It’s seems to start recording to late, you just get the back end if a car entering the driveway. How do I adjust that! It used to record and you could review the 10 second email, but one camera only keeps one email to view . Do you have to delete old recordings? If so how do you do it?
The camera will not accept the sd card even though I changed it to 32. I have tried repeatedly. Do I have to pay to playback the daily video footage?

How do I enlarge the screen size on my IPad Very hard to see with normal setting. I never had this problem with other security cameras.
I also bought this and really annoyed that nothing was mentioned about the awareness plans or the cost of them. Camera picks up everything but its been quite windy and we have had over 70 notifications for falling leaves I refuse to buy any plans so definately thinking of sending it back
Purchased the smart battery camera for an elderly lady I care for. Set up easy and camera great with v good night visuals but after purchasing the camera and separate sd card it now wants her to purchase a plan to have it record etc..I do feel a bit cheated here, as a carer money is tight and she cannot afford monthly plans etc....how much is the plan? why not mention these things so customers have a choice! I am going to check sd card tomorrow and see if it has anything on it if not I will consider a return and feedback accordingly.
Just found out that you have to pay a monthly fee even if you install the sd card in the camera... I do not need more storage but to get it to work correctly, you need to pay a fee for their «cloud». This is the only way to go even for the basic features like sensitivity control and schedule... Not happy...
