So I am a pastor and trying to counsel in a serious life setting, and an ad pops up and won’t let me quickly X out. It was easy to delete AmplifiedBibleversion tho
The cost to remove the ads is very reasonable. I’m elderly on a low, fixed income and could afford it (thank you, developers!). I’m still trying to find my way around it, and I’m afraid to hit the trash button (reminds me of cntrl-alt-delete — WHAT does it trash?), but I love the ability to highlight and the “Completed Reading” feature. If I could recommend anything, it would be that the reference scriptures would have a link that would open in a small, temporary window for you to read.) All in all, a lovely app of one of my very favorite translations! The references link would give it 5 stars, instead of the 4 I gave it. Thank you.

The Amplified Bible (AMP) is an English language translation of the Bible produced jointly by Zondervan (subsidiary of News Corp) and The Lockman Foundation.
The Amplified Bible was revised in 2015, now known as the Amplified Holy Bible; more amplifications in the Old Testament were added, and refinements made to the New Testament amplifications.
The bulk of the work of producing the Amplified Bible was undertaken by Frances Siewert, employed by the Lockman Foundation.
It is designed to "amplify" the text by using additional wording and a system of punctuation and other typographical features to bring out all shades of meaning present in the original texts.
It is largely a revision of the American Standard Version of 1901, with reference made to various texts in the original languages.
