Terrible time

We took our daughter here for the first time, my husband and I have been 100 times before and usually, we love it. We were so excited to bring her here and we were going to have lunch and then play games. When we first walked in, we waited forever at the counter for someone to walk over to seat us, we had to flag someone down to do so. We shrugged it off. Even though it wasn’t that busy. We sat down and our waitress seemed to have an attitude. We placed our drink order and my daughter got the snow globe drink, she was excited because it had the light up cube in it. When the waitress brought it back. It didn’t have the cube and it wasn’t the same drink she ordered. She said well we are out of those.. it would have been nice to know that before hand? She was extremely rude about it. She didn’t get us napkins or anything even though we ordered ribs. She never refilled our drinks. She never checked on us. Honestly it was terrible. Worst food experience I have had so far. The meal was over cooked and honestly I have eaten the same thing here a million times and it just wasn’t up to par. Then the games- almost every game we tried to play went down. It was already down. We didn’t even get to play all of them and had to spend most of the time waiting for someone to come and fix it because it took our chips. This was my daughters birthday present and I have to say, Dave and busters has started going down hill. I’m really disappointed.

Another update and another disappointment!

Another update and another disappointment! After over a year of not being able to get anywhere into DBRewards , as soon as I log-in, it instantly logs me out and asked me to log back in! Now I am in a constant boot loop of logging in and being instantly logged out as soon as I successfully log-in. Please don’t give me that “We apologize that you’re having log-in issues. Please leave a message with your contact info and power card number at 1-800-we-don’t-care for guest relations team. That’ll allow our team to better brush you off with what’s going on with your account.” I’ve been leaving my name and number for the last year with guest relations and get nowhere with them. All they tell me is “We are aware of the situation and and our team is in the process of a new update that will hopefully fix your problem. Please wait wait for the next update.” You know just as well as I do guest relations cannot help. Guest relations is about as useless as DBRewards. It is gotten to the point that we are about to go to Dave & Buster’s and cash out all of our tokens that we have accumulated over the years, deleting your app, and never look back before you guys end up shutting your doors.

Your establishment has become a sad situation for your most loyal customers!

Just one issue otherwise awesome

The Clacksmas D&B in Oregon. Great place nice people decent prize selection clean facility. Would have been 5 stars but the server at lunch was required to make us give her a credit card to “hold” when we sat in the booth to order food. We are two early 40’s adults with a 10 year old son. We ordered 3 meals and 2 apps and 3 beverages. Nothing unusual. I am a manager with one of the two largest banks in the US. This practice is a huge risk for fraud, card loss, etc. A card should not be out of the owners possession in that manner. I have her a card we don’t use and let her know that was not the method we’d be paying with. She was polite and explained the policy is to prevent dine and dash. I’d rather have simply been given the opportunity to pay right away prior to the food prep. She said the procedure is mandatory. I also could have paid cash up front. This is not a good process and made an otherwise terrific visit uncomfortable. And what if I had no cards? Not a good look. We are from out of state so we are not here often but this bears mentioning. We won’t eat here again.

Lazy staff and Managment that needs to be retrained

Was told they could not make a frozen mudslide because it was not on the menus. The waitress who was a sweetheart seemed very upset and unhappy with her co-workers who were being extremely difficult over me ordering a mudslide. Very unfortunate, I’m sure the owner wants his customers to come back and I’m sure hopes that his staff would go above and beyond for customers since that is what employees the staff. Then the poor waitress came back and said they wouldn’t make me a mudslide on the rocks. This establishment makes many drinks that are not on the menu. I have never seen such poor service. Mathew the manger came over with an attitude and a scolding that he’ll do it for me this one time lol as if he’s doing me a favor and explained that they don’t have a recipe for a mudslide and everything is standard on the menu although many people are the bar are drinking drinks NOT on the menu. They blamed the waitress, made her feel uncomfortable and made me feel even more uncomfortable. How is this ok? Oh and it’s my birthday. Thank you DB I’m glad I came here for my birthday. The way the waitress is being treated who is sweet and excellent at customer service should work somewhere where she is appreciated.

App does NOT work- Can’t redeem offers... Very disappointing.

I love Dave & Busters along with my family and friends but there are seldom offers like there used to be. I got so excited this week when I saw the $50 for $25 offer pop up in my app. Unfortunately, after 3 days of trying different methods to pay and claim the offer in DBRewards I keep receiving the same error message stating there’s a problem on their end and they’ll work to resolve it.
It has been almost a week and the problem is still not addressed or fixed in DBRewards plus the offer is about to expire. I called customer service regarding the issue to see if they would take payment over the phone to redeem the offer only to be informed they could not help or accept payment and that these offers can only be processed through DBRewards (when it works). Additionally, I was informed that the offer would not be honored if I went to D&B in store either. This was a very disappointing experience. Please fix DBRewards issues and provide more offers that customers can actually redeem and that can be honored whether in app or in store in situations like these when there are technical errors on D&B’s end but the customer is the one who gets slighted. Thank you.

The app is really bad…

When using DBRewards to scan for games, it’s horrible. There are constant glitches and it’s constantly freezing when you are trying to scan to play a game. Sometimes you will scan a game and DBRewards will charge you for the points but the game won’t start. With the card, you never have that issue. With DBRewards it will deduct the points right away, but it takes a while for the tickets to load which is inconvenient. Overall, DBRewards is very unreliable when it comes to tapping it on the scanner when you’re trying to play a game. It’s either stealing your points many times or not loading the tickets in a timely manner. It’s very unreliable and always has an issue with glitching or freezing every time I’ve attempted to use it this year. We just end up getting the cards because it’s such a hassle dealing with DBRewards . Terrible, terrible app. It needs a lot of improvement. The only positive thing I will say about DBRewards is that it’s a hub that has good information and prices, other than that don’t use it because it will steal it points.

Terrible System and App

Dave and Buster’s reward system has always been pretty poor. Earning points is inconsistent and DBRewards hasn’t always worked when you need it to, especially inside of your local D&B. Customer service is fair, but I shouldn’t have to call every time I want my points added because it didn’t work on site, and I shouldn’t have to call back because after being on the phone, the rep didn’t update my request. It was never fun or rewarding to use DBRewards. Just spend your money and enjoy yourself. I was hoping with the new app update, there would be less glitching and a system that worked in real time, but nope. The message center in DBRewards hasn’t worked since I updated and signed up again for the new program. I have an email stating that my welcome offer is ready and I can find it in my messages, but messages just load (on and off wifi at different locations). I’m pretty disappointed. I love D&B, but their rewards system and app are and continue to be a let down.

No one ever responds

I’ve been trying for months to get my account moved from my old number to my new one so I don’t lose my credits and tickets I have saved forever! But your staff can’t be bothered to answer emails at all! Absolutely disgusted with your customer service or should I say lack of customer service. Then in store I ordered a drink, the same drink I order every Wednesday! It rings $3. Something everytime except this one! I was charged $10 for my $3 drink! I mentioned to the server that I always order this and it should not be that much and pointed out the drink on my receipt was not the drink I ask for or that I had received, he then claimed he rang that drink up because it come out cheaper ! What ! No $10 is in no way cheaper the $3 . I ask for the manager and was left standing at the bar for a good 35-40 min and no one ever came I went to the front desk and that lady went to “find” the manager and server about 15 mins later she comes back and said the manager would be out soon ! I waited another 20 min and left ! Rude service and cheating servers .

Overall, pretty good.

I've used DBRewards and wallet features without issue but I arrived at D&B in Concord, CA, and couldn't reload. The only solution the team could offer would be a new card, plus activation fee. 🙄 It was fine last week at the new Fairfield location. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Well, it's a great app when it works. I find syncing issues with wallet versus DBRewards , but I refer to the screen on the game to give me real-time information. Hope you get this fixed because I love feeling like a kid again! Leaving 5 stars because it's a simple bug that can be fixed on the next update. Overall, DBRewards is pretty good and convenient so you can have one less physical card to carry around.

Uninstalled, but still see it on phone

UPDATE 08/31: After the first day when I uninstalled DBRewards , I no long have the issue described below, so I guess it was a temporary issue. When using DBRewards , my main problem was the recharge transaction failing (and then not telling me it worked when it finally succeeded). Maybe there were connectivity issues or something.
I’m changing this rating to 4 stars, because my uninstall problem is gone, and they responded to my review with a phone number at least.

I used this to some degree of success (I had great trouble recharging credits), but after I uninstalled it, I still see a screen from DBRewards occasionally when I unlock my phone, which is extremely obtrusive and annoying.

Even the B&B employees don’t like this app

UPDATE: Was given a hotline number to call, which is one I’ve already tried to call to resolve this issue. Hotline gets you to hold music and either cuts you off or asks you to leave a number and message for a call back. Tried that before I ever played the review. I’ll let y’all know when they’ve called me back.

DBRewards has so much potential, but half the time it doesn’t work. If I’m on WiFi, it says there’s was an error loading my info. If I load my power card in app, it won’t go to my rewards half the time. My rewards somehow went from 80 points to 3.6 points with no notification. I have no clue how that happened. If I hit the threshold, my chip balance doesn’t reflect it. I even brought the issue up in Dave and Busters, and the employees acknowledged DBRewards didn’t work most of the time. I’ve emailed through DBRewards a week ago and have yet to get a response.

Nice Option When you want it

This is a nice option when you want it. Also, I only use this on my phone to reload my play card, wand, or lanyard that I can use the power tap feature on. They have recently updated DBRewards to some new kind of scan sort of thing, but I am not sure what that is about. Anyway, I normally only go to a Dave and Buster’s when I am on vacation and I have loved it every time. However, I would love it if they would bring one to my state. Sadly, they can’t seem to find enough space to place one in any of the areas that would work best for them. So, I’ll just continue to visit while on vacation and have fun when I can for now.

Need more payment options in the app!

I get gift cards through my employer from time to time and would like to use them to take advantage of the special in-app offers only to find out that a credit card is the only option. I also found out we can’t redeem the offer in store. Please update your app to allow gift cards and waxen the option of PayPal. Some people don’t have credit or debit cards for personal reasons but either of those added to DBRewards would allow us to continue visiting your establishment. I will update my rating when this is available.

App and new rewards

I initially had so many issues with the switch to the new rewards system. My friend and I were spending the same money and playing the same credits and whatnot and he got all of his chips and I only got like a third of mine if that. I was told it was DBRewards causing this issue and that the chips would eventually get added and they never did. I have since gotten a new card and started all over which is a bunch of wasted money for a program that should have been trouble shooted over and over so these issues would not be happening to a bunch of people. After getting the new card and starting all over, things are working for now anyway but still all that wasted money from the first time.

Didn’t receive chips

I made a purchase and chips didn’t get added to my power card. Wrote to customer service through app and no response. Sent email no response. Finally I called and got a return call a couple days later. Sent in the required proof but still haven’t gotten chips or refund. That was 2 weeks ago. My advice, don’t buy through DBRewards . The establishment itself is fun for the family and food is great as well but they can’t get it together for a simple refund.

Thought it’d be great

I love Dave and Buster’s and seeing the details for the new app seemed awesome. The new reward system is fun and the challenges that can get you even more gameplay was a great idea. All I can complain about is the inability to add power taps to my account. Seems to only work with the plastic power cards. My original power tap wristband followed the last app to this one just fine, but when I had lost my original band and tried to apply my replacement, I found out it can’t be added to my account. So using my new band doesn’t make sense anymore, a big let down. Hopefully this can be fixed soon as I’m sure many rewards members have opted in for the power taps instead of the cards.

Love it

Super easy to use, it tells me my chips, tickets and rewards points. I love playing the coin pusher games and it’s so nice I can just use DBRewards to add chips to my card. I don’t have to go to the kiosk and possibly lose my seat. I also love that they have offers on here all the time to do buy $20 get $20 free. My bf lost our card one time and because we had it on our app we were able to transfer everything to a brand new card. Great app for sure!

Doesn’t connect well…

DBRewards itself is very pretty looking, I connected my card to it because I like seeing how many credits and tickets I have under that card. The issue I have with it is that I connected the card to the kiosk at a Dave and busters. But when I check the information through DBRewards the tickets hasn’t changed and it gives me the same amount of credits, the same amount from before I added credits at the kiosk. So I wish it would update it so I know what I actually have on my card. It also doesn’t really show what progress I’ve made on the challenges.

So...what happened?

Update: While I will admit I was mad when I made my review, and i do appreciate the feedback given, I do still stand on the opinion that the old app was just fine, and this new one seems like a bad move. I’ll add a star for the response though.

The old app was working fine for me. The myriad of one star reviews should be enough of a wake up call for the developers. Im rlly glad I haven’t tried making any charges to the new account i had to make after reading that ppl were getting charged multiple times on their account! That would have put my bank account in the negatives and I absolutely would have tried to sue. You guys seriously need to GET A CLUE and get your act together.

The app changed?

I had the Dave and Busters charge app with all our cards installed on it; we don’t go often as it’s not located near where we live. We came on vacation and there was one over here so we decided to stop by; I went into DBRewards to discover it say I needed to update DBRewards followed by a message saying DBRewards is not available in my region or something like that; so I searched and found the FUN app but it didn’t detect my CHARGE login info at all and I had to create a new account, so of course it didn’t load any of the cards we had saved. Next thing is to check if I still have the cards at home and IF it will allow me to add what I do still have to it.

Scam!! 3 party app and Dave and Busters can’t help you!

Only reason for 1 Star was it takes Apple Pay! Don’t use DBRewards Dave and busters can’t help you! They will tell you it’s a 3 rd party so sorry! Second you have to use your $1,000 iPhone as a cheap .10 card to play games so inconvenient and uncomfortable! Then watch out they will slam you with a $3 fee and Dave and busters can’t do anything to help you. DBRewards will only make there stock drop because of the horrible play experience it is to carry your phone all the time in your hand. Plus the readers for your phone bony always work so you look pretty stupid waving your phone at the machine. The executive that authorized this change should be immediately let go for poor judgment!

Worst app I own

DBRewards is as bad as the service I recently received at D&B. Refreshing cards takes forever (and it refreshes constantly in every screen you enter), no offers, no updates to rewards, cannot make my new wrist band my rewards card as it stated email is invalid (no it isn’t). I even changed it, changed it back and verified via my email and get the same error. If the developer is taking any notice of the feedback, I would disable DBRewards from DBRewards Store, fix it and do a major update. Clearly they just want you to call the customer service number. Just fix DBRewards !!! Oh, simple thing..... allow deletion of cards. That’s plain dumb!!

Where the weekly offers

It app is alright but it’s missing one thing that made the last app good. It’s the offers, the 20 for another 20 is actually good but it’s gone. One time, I refilled my card and 10 minutes later, an offer popped up. And I was like bruh. So I want u to make offers pop up more often

When will we be able to add a gift card ?

I downloaded DBRewards because it had a special deal with first purchase but I can’t even use it because I wanted to use my gift card to make purchases in DBRewards . Now DBRewards is pointless. I can just add the money in store...... If enough people call on they possibly add the option.

New App has been useless

I don’t know what’s happening but the first app I had worked great. Since the new app was launched, I have not been able to do anything. I have an iPhone and can not get past the terms and conditions screen. I asked a host last night, and he says I’m not the only customer having this issue . DBRewards not functioning is really costing me a lot opportunities to recharge with coupons and deals. I’ve uninstalled...reinstalled nothing has worked.

Unable to see 30% off in app

I received an email that offered 30% off gameplay. When I clicked the link it took me to a page that just makes me reopen DBRewards from DBRewards Store. After doing that, I don’t see the offer in my rewards nor anywhere else. Is this supposed to happen?

Can’t add card to wallet

I had added an old card to the new app and now I can’t use it because it didn’t give me an option to add it to my apple wallet. I bought an new card thinking it would help but it didn’t work either. Now I have two cards I cannot use because it won’t allow me to add them to my wallet.

Doesn’t connect with the charger app?

When the old app was discontinued, it all had the old card data save so when I went to a new D&B, they could put the chips and tickets on a new card.

Why didn’t the new app at least transfer that data? And with the old app “deactivated” I can’t do anything about those lost cards. Can you remove that message?

Doesn’t work

DBRewards has an offer,finally, and it won’t work. It keeps timing out on Apple Pay and then shows a “we’re Sorry “ message. I love going to Dave and Busters, but DBRewards is terrible. We also would go nearly every time a buy 20 get 20 coupon came out, now we rarely go because there are almost no coupons.

Stupid

I shouldn’t have to download an app in order to sign up. Went into store because it wasn’t working on browser. Guys told me to download app. To sign up on app I have to use my phone number instead of email like browser allows. It should not be this difficult & people should be able to sign up in store.

Looks good so far but...

Just downloaded DBRewards right now and looks good but, what I noticed is that in the payment methods there is no “Paypal” option yet. I would really come in handy to have that option.

No more rewards

DBRewards doesn’t track your rewards. I’ve loaded my card twice (in-app) since getting DBRewards, and purchased food and drink and ZERO rewards points have been added to my card. Very disappointing, I used to go all the time but now it’s not worth it. No rewards, no offers, nothing.

I cannot seem to get past the initial screen where you accept the terms. I have an iPhone 11 with OS version 13.3

Old app was great, this one is garbage.

How on earth is DBRewards rated 4.8 stars? You can’t get rid of unused cards and there has not been a coupon for buy $20 get $20 since the last app. We don’t even go to D&B anymore because of DBRewards alone. If the developers cared they would have fixed this garbage a long time ago.

The App doesn't work. Plain and simple. Maybe hire another app developer because the current situation is not improving and has not improved over time either. Dave and Busters could just do away with the app altogether since they can't seem to find someone that can actually make it work and be useful.
