Good way to try out titles

The chapters available change as the publishers add and remove volumes etc. So in that way MangamoMangaReaderComics is different than I expected. It’s not a library where I can always read and reread the same volumes. It is, however, an excellent way to read a series before committing to a title. I’ve since added 3 titles to my physical purchase queue. My only complaint is that I often run out of things to read. On the bright side sometimes a title is dropped with various volumes instead of a single chapters so it evens out. Based on the current price of subscription, it seems worth the price. Especially since it has titles like Loving Yamada at lvl99 which is currently only available on MangamoMangaReaderComics.

Would love a release schedule function.

MangamoMangaReaderComics functions fine on my iPhone XS Max. The number of titles in the catalog is decent, but the amount of chapters available for each of them is lacking.

Of course, some series are relatively new, so they wouldn’t have many chapters to begin with, but it’s hard to tell which ones are receiving new chapters.

I wish there was a release schedule included for series that Mangamo is updating regularly. Like how the SJ App says “New Chapter in 7 days...”

That way, I know which newer series are worthwhile to start reading on here, cuz I’m not expecting them to get all of Attack on Titan for instance. So I’m not gonna start it and hold out for one day when Kodansha let’s them have more...

I’d like to follow the titles they’re simulpublishing. these regularly updated series on Mangamo should be better marked. Like how Netflix has their logo on their originals. Just another indicator that tells readers, “hey, come back to these series cuz we’ll be providing new chapters regularly.” It just reinforces the whole “release schedule” thing.

Other than that, good up. Looking forward to seeing it grow.

Much improved, runs very smoothly now

When MangamoMangaReaderComics was first released there were some issues with manga losing very slowly, and delays while browsing. I’m happy to say that those issues seem fixed now. MangamoMangaReaderComics runs very smoothly, and still has the same sleek design as always.

It also looks like a lot of new content has been added (whereas there were only a few chapters of each manga when MangamoMangaReaderComics first launched).

All the improvements show that the developers have been working to improve MangamoMangaReaderComics , which is great to see.

Pros:
- Consistent improvements to the functionality and content of MangamoMangaReaderComics !
-The UI looks very sleek, and navigation feels like common sense for a phone app
- The “explore” section gives a lot of recommendations
- The “browse” section lets you filter by genre
- Save manga to your list and easily get back to them
- Manga are fully translated to English
- Lots of options (but only a few chapters of each, for now)
- Manga descriptions, including author and publisher

Cons:
- Maybe add a search function

No other cons for now. I’m looking forward to seeing where MangamoMangaReaderComics goes.

Generally Okay

As far as app functionality goes I would give MangamoMangaReaderComics 5-stars, where they loose points for me is consistency/transparency.

For a paid subscription service I think they need to implement a sort of update system to let users know how often/ when to expect certain series updates (like Manga Plus)

I’ve used MangamoMangaReaderComics since it launched and there are some series on there that have not been updated at all since their initial addition to the service. Or they have updates so inconsistently it’s a bit of a waste to pay each month for the service.

Ex. I know a lot of people joined MangamoMangaReaderComics to read Loving Yamada at Lv999 but the chapters update very sporadically. Some months there’s no updates and others you’ll get 2 chapters a month. It’s a monthly series so you’d think a once a month update would be the basic release schedule, but the raws are on ch 66 while Mangamo has only uploaded to ch48, so I don’t really get why there isn’t at least 1 update a month when there’s so many chapters available.

I would rather them focus on the titles that they already have and provide consistent updates instead of trying to provide every title they possibly can with updates happening once a year for some series.

Legal way to support creators

I’m giving this 5 stars solely for the reason clueless people are complaining that they have to pay while other (mostly illegal ones) are free. Of course, it will be better to have few more up to date chapters for some series but still worth the subscription fees for the currently available one and you can subscribe on and off to read some titles and come back when more series got updated. This service has potential and hope to see the database grow more later on.

Why one star?

Well to start out, if most manga apps required you to pay the fact that you have to pay for a membership after the trial, but most do not require you to pay. Therefore MangamoMangaReaderComics should not require you to pay unless it’s for getting chapters early, not having access to the manga. I’m basing it off of very little but that amount is major when it comes to these things, especially when the competition is free.

Much better

MangamoMangaReaderComics is working great, I wish there was a search function though. Also, sometimes there is a lag when I’m downloading the chapter. But overall good design.

THE APP

I’m not one to go around saying apps are bad but this is just straight up a lie it said that unlimited anime…,and stuff but when I downloaded MangamoMangaReaderComics and I opened the first manga that showed up and it said “start free trial to read” I’m not here to give a terrible review just next one don’t says unlimited, free and stuff next time cause I was severely disappointed to see it wasn’t free all I’m saying is make it clear it’s not free next time.

No One Piece???

I got MangamoMangaReaderComics just to read One Piece. Now I get some times you can’t get the manga on it but it would be better if it had One Piece. Other than that I think MangamoMangaReaderComics is pretty cool.

By

I like it

It’s a smooth app but it seems like there are missing chapters on old manga like fairy tail, not sure if they’re slowly being updated

By

Needs better iPad support

I prefer to read my manga in landscape mode, using a two-page spread layout. It was be great if MangamoMangaReaderComics added this support, like the Shonen Jump app.

By

Solid service but off to a rough start

So MangamoMangaReaderComics doesn’t work that well. Everything takes forever to load and you never know if MangamoMangaReaderComics is working or stalling.

In terms of offerings, it would be nice to see a release calendar. If they’re periodically adding new series and updating existing series, it’s impossible to know what comes out and when.

I’m sure MangamoMangaReaderComics will be fixed in the coming months, but the service itself needs to be improved.

By

I can’t read any without paying

I’m very disappointed, MangamoMangaReaderComics said that you can read as much as you want but as soon as I try to read one it says that I have to pay to read it. It’s very misleading and just awful.

By

Don’t even try it

If you don’t want to pay than don’t try it. The concept reading manga on you phone is good but if you have to pay to read than nah

ITS WORK NOW

Update! They fixed it! I do wish they would let users try their free trial again since it went to waste for me. This has a lot of potential though! I’m excited to see where it goes!

This is an awesome concept and I’m looking forward to a working app. I’ll happily pay for a sub once they work through all the bugs. I just updated MangamoMangaReaderComics that said it fixed the Browse screen, but my browse screen is still black. It’s a very unusable app currently. I’ll patiently wait while they work through all the bugs because I want this to succeed!

Not worth money yet

It’s still new so I’m not trying to be hard on it but in the state it’s in it’s really not worth subscribing. There is no search function and the one function they have to organize genres you like does not work correctly due to the materials not having the correct tags. As in they have there minor tags but not there main category ones. Also I was excited because I heard they made a deal with kodansha who has a ton of digital manga licenses but none of them were really on there except for seven deadly sins and even that didn’t have all the chapters available. The library is very limited and till it grows I just don’t think the service is ready to be used. I will be waiting and hopefully this service will become what it advertises in due time.

Slow, slow, buggy

I don’t normally write reviews for apps, but this one was surprisingly annoying. Every single action you take in it takes upwards of five seconds, with some of them not even having a visible indication of anything happening. An example of this is loading up a chapter, which takes like 10-20 seconds of staring at a black screen while on my fiber wifi.

Additionally, weird elements of the UI are sticky; after I read all of the available chapters of a series, a bar showing the series will stick to the bottom of the screen and show up overtop all the other menus and get in the way. It has an x on it but it comes back when I change screens.

I want to like this service but they have way too low of a quality bar for their app which kind of defeats the whole point.

Interface Needs Work

The concept of MangamoMangaReaderComics is cool, but it’s so difficult to browse. It would be much more useful if everything is sorted by either a menu by genre or sort by popularity. And add star ratings so users can rate manga and see the average rating.

Also it would work better for a large list of titles if it was a list of just text titles, and then clicking on the title gives you the cover of volume 1 and a short blurb/summary. It would also be nice to see more info about each title, like author/artist and original demographic (shounen, shoujo, seinen, josei) and how many volumes (or chapters) it is, how many are available, and whether it’s still going or finished etc.

I quite like it, but it needs a few things.

Mangamo has a great selection for the price. The quality was great as was the localization. It gets 4 stars for a few reasons. The aspect ratio cuts off some of the page on my iPad, a custom zoom option would fix this. There is also no full search option that I could find. For two page spreads, I like to read in landscape, there isn’t an option for this, but that is a personal preference. I had a good experience other than those few things, if they fix those, I would gladly give it 5 stars.

Waste of time

I bought this because one of my favorite was bought and will be only available on this web site. I don’t mind paying the $4.99 a month but on my iPad it only shows half the page. There is no way to adjust the picture and on my iPhone, it will not come up. Until they fix there problems do not waste your time

6/3/20
Update- most of the issues I complained about has been resolved. I am willing to subscribe and see if this is going to be the future for online manga.

what I’ve been waiting for

I left a message on their website because MangamoMangaReaderComics was slow at first. They got back to me pretty fast. Maybe it was the first day things seemed buggy? So I didn’t give up. I feel like MangamoMangaReaderComics is good but it seems like it’s gonna get better. There’s just so much to read. Especially right now this is perfect for me. If certain pages load slower I just figure it’s cuz the images are high quality? Idk. But, if you’re worried about this don’t be. And if they really release new chapters every day, it’s totally worth it in my opinion.

Cool but new

A lot of these reviews are pretty scathing but this is a fairly new app, it’s going to need to get tweaked a lot at first. Some things I notice is that there’s no search bar so I can’t search directly for a title, I have to get the genre tags right. As for the subscription thing, you still have to subscribe, you just don’t get charged for the first two months of service and you have to remember to cancel the subscription if it’s not a service you want to pay for. All in all pretty cool, looking forward to see what titles land on here

Lagging and has bugs

I only came here to read a specific manga. They have a good selection and I’m excited to read some manga they offer. However the mañana I wanted to read is barely on chapter 4 when I was reading it in an app that was at chapter 30. That’s a bit disappointing. Also when reading another chapter it will not let me go to the next chapter. I click the next chapter and it reloads to the previous one. I tried closing MangamoMangaReaderComics and it did not work. I’ll try to restart my phone. So far not too happy with MangamoMangaReaderComics itself.

By

Still needs work

I like the concept, I’m coming from mangazone cuz mangas are starting to get locked. There needs to be a search function otherwise having to find my series via scrolling thru genres is a huge turn off, the dark scheme of MangamoMangaReaderComics is a bit much combined with the layout of the images and what not, feels like I’m scrolling thru a news article app also. Hopefully there’s a search function so I can see if my fav mangas are available soon

By

Need work

The interface looks nice, but don't advertise certain manga as being available and not have chapters to read (for example, Attack on Titan and Fire Force). Also, I already signed up for the free trial, but it still tells me to subscribe when I tap the Read button. I don’t know if it’s a bug, but I can’t read anything because of it. I’d enjoy MangamoMangaReaderComics much more if it worked, but as it stands now, it needs to iron out some bugs.

By

Broken

So when you open MangamoMangaReaderComics it lets me looks at titles, when i click on one it tells me I can get a 60 day free trial. I said why not, I was immediately set up to only get a 30 trial through MangamoMangaReaderComics store renewals, and MangamoMangaReaderComics itself just keep taking me to the billing page when I try to get access. Furthermore there’s no good search mechanic so see the contents is impossible with out looking up things my genre.

By

Not working on 6th gen iPad

Takes a minute for things to load & say they have been added to your manga. Only issue now is when reading it jumps the order and you have to fight it to go to the right one.

By

Could have been great

It’s a nice concept and has a bunch of titles I’ve never read before, but unfortunately even with a subscription you can’t read anything. Maybe after some patches MangamoMangaReaderComics with work and I’ll give it a higher rating, but for now it’s only getting a 1 star since it doesn’t work even if you do the free trial.

Finally a Manga App

Finally there is an app with good manga in English. It was a little slow at first but I am watching it all the time now. A lot of good Manga with good translation. Keep it coming.
