1945 - Airplane shooting game Reviews

First off, I have to admit that this game is a lot of fun and very addicting. But there are some things that could use some attention from you, the developers. Most recent, something went bonkers with the “VIP” aspect, for the last 2 days, I, for whatever reason have not been able to access that particular form of advancement. Next on the list is the “leaderboard” for the 4 free “side missions”, how is it fair that those who choose to spend their hard earned cash and buy expensive aircraft etc , and choose to play multiplayer games, able to play and be ranked on the same level, as those of us who don’t/won’t ? They should be in class by themselves!!! Next would be the in game monetary system, I am referring to the ever coveted “gems” your ultimate form of currency. They are way to hard to acquire in amounts required to make the purchases that can only be made using them. Purchases I might add that can really help in the actual enjoyment of playing this game ! Also you can trade gems for coins, why not vice versa !?!?!
I do realize that most of my concerns, are in areas, where, you are trying to part us from our hard earned cash, but seriously, don’t you make enough money from the ads we are forced to watch ?
I hope that this “review “ does not fall on “deaf ears” and that I will see some positive results (in my mind at least) in the near future !

This game was a blast at first. Loved creating my fleet and shooting things. Then you realize, since there isn’t a player’s manual, that you have to do all these other things to gain the items needed to keep making your fleet better, or you won’t go far at all in the game. Now updates are happening every few days. While the tournaments and special events are cool, they don’t tell you that they keep making it harder to win. The enemies keep getting harder to beat and your planes firepower and armor gets weaker and weaker. Perfect example today- played a daily mission like I always do and win. Then update comes out. After update, play that daily mission again. Can NOT win at all now. Try multiplayer, that I usually do really well in. Matched against someone higher rank but with fewer planes. I don’t even last a minute, lose all my planes and the match. They didn’t lose a single plane. I couldn’t kill any of the enemy that I didn’t have a problem with yesterday. So, yeah, anytime an update says “improve performance” they really mean make it harder to play. If you don’t spend real money, don’t expect to get far. AND it’s expensive! I have bought some cheaper things a couple times but usually everything costs so much! And I know they get this feedback a LOT but they don’t care. They’ll continue down this path until all they have left are people who are willing to spend an exorbitant amount of money, like they want.

Hey guys I’m just writing this review because I love this game I’ve actually been playing the original game back in the day when it was on Consol I believe it was a Sega or Nintendo I’m not sure but this game the roots of a cool way back and I’ve been playing it since then I love this game now I have to say that your earlier versions as far as stage difficulties were reasonable but now these late version all the stages don’t seem to match up with the progression of the game and the way you get to upgrade your airplanes like some of the stages are ridiculously tough like you upgrade your planes and your bullets have no effect on all these tank airplanes in upgraded AI. One more thing before I finish this review when you guys add new versions and upgrade the game you’ve been coming out with changes in the game and it doesn’t explain what the new items mean like how to receive these extra things how to go about using them and what they mean they just pop up and all the sudden the game is not recognizable I think there needs to be a section when you add things to the game that explain what these new upgrades are for weapons and getting points and getting items to get these new features there’s no explanation on what anything means you have to literally sit there and guess anyways like I said I’m a fan of the game it’s a good game but some changes need to be made thanks a lot

A great game inspired by the classics, unfortunately the marketing system is what causes the game to be poor. Now I and everyone else know it’s a free game but besides child gambling (the new gear system) that you developers added the box reward system is awful. Never knowing what reward you get is terrible especially when the only way to rank your plane, wingman and special abilities up is through random methods.A complete waste of time. When one person can get the items they need all randomly and the other players all spend months or years getting the same modules. Next is the price for in game purchases which is astronomically insane. It’s the 21st century a free to play game and your deals are hundreds of dollars??? Is that a joke? One console game is 60$ u.s. no special edition or anything but in this free game one plane cost over 40$ and it’s not even the best. To the developers be realistic it’s a game for kids what kid do you know has hundreds of dollars laying around? Your gonna drive your game into the ground no one wants to grind for days to get the modules they need that’s too unrealistic especially when the replay levels are you know the same thing. Add some boss fights or something to single player protect or bombard missions. Sorry not sorry. Either make your game free to play or make us buy it. This in between in game pay to win stuff is ridiculous.

I’ve never written a game review before, but I played the bejesus out of this so I thought I’d share pros and cons. First of all, really great gameplay. The menuing system was hard to figure out but I eventually got it. You have to be very precise in your movements, and on the hardest levels, develop a strategy with how you time your special attacks. It’s very challenging as you progress to the higher levels, but it’s doable with the one upgraded plane you can get for $2.99. At least I think. I’ve been stuck on level 97 for a few days. I think I can beat it, I’ve gotten so close, but I fear I won’t be able to progress soon without paying dumb amounts of money. And that’s the problem—the micros are very dumbly exorbitant. It’s literally $100 for the best planes. It would actually be over $900 if, heaven and hell forbid, you loved the game so much you wanted to collect all the planes and weapons. Even if some idiot would pay that, please change this. It feels like you’re being punished or laughed at for getting into this game and wanting to beat it. This little game, fun and addictive as it is, should not be one of the most expensive games of all time. *Surely* you would make more money if you came up with a reasonable pricing on micro transactions. Right? Anyway, good job developing a highly playable version of the old classics.

I loved the game at first. I must admit I am addicted. It is a good game. The last two updates have changed my feeling toward this game. I have worked very hard and taken time away from other things to seek rewards that the updates have removed. I’m very disappointed. This current update has made me write this review. The devices changed to much lesser value ruins it for me. You say it is to balance the game and I understand you wanting to achieve that. It’s not a balanced game in the first place and that is a long list. The balance you are wanting to achieve is pushing more people to make in game purchases to make progress. I cannot go any further in game with the level of difficulty being raised yet again. I have watched the countless adds this game has pushed. I have gone to the end of a boss fight for the game to bug. I have watched faulty lightning end my multiple player run. I have died for no apparent reason in the middle of combat. I have lost escort missions to multiple bugs. The point I am trying to make is I have looked past the faults of this game. But this last update I cannot continue to play. The enjoyment has dried up for me. Think about the people that have spent money for this game prior to the update. Please return to it glory and I would gladly play again.

Begging the game you get a decent advantage against enemies and of course the difficulty rises. You end up reaching a point maybe at like level 25 to where you have to farm hours to get upgrades or pay real money for some trash rewards or garbage loot crate like slot machine that also gives you bare minimum rewards for money well spent. I wasted about $70 real money on this game to find out that once you start progressing and you pay for all these upgrades SURPRISE! There’s another update. Then you start to notice that after every update the levels you have already demolished seem to get more difficult than they had before the update. You can of course see your stats and what type of damage you do prior but there’s also that you aren’t for certain the hp of the enemy so either one of these things are for certain throttled. Why not do your loyal paying customers a solid and quit screwing them over after they complimented a you developed??? Then there’s the social media blockage of information flow like the developers know they are screwing people and don’t want people to communicate. Do not invest time or real money into this game unless this is all you have to do in life and if so, it’s still going to be a huge disappointment at the end of the day.

I really enjoyed this game and played it every day and made good progress. The hard levels might have needed a few tries but eventually would figure out how to win. I carry 4 planes with wingmen and special feature. They all could hold there own in any level. I had enough to get a top level plane, so I broke down and got one. Then everything changed. All of the sudden my planes could NOT DO ANY DAMAGE at all. They obviously have it programmed to adjust based on what you buy. I believe they do it assuming that Because I bought something once, I’m more likely to buy again if I need to. So make the game harder to force me to spend money or just give up on the game as a whole. It’s as though they keep you playing and winning until you spend money. Once that happens they don’t care if the game is fun, they see me as an ATM for them. Basically get your money and then kick you out. I wish I had never bought anything because maybe I would still be enjoying the game. What a scam!! You are better off not even starting this game. Find a game that rewards there good customers not take advantage of them!!! This is the first review I have ever written, so that should tell you just how bad it had to be for me to do this.

There is what probably started out as a good shooting game hiding under vast layers of monetization infrastructure. I would love to just play the actual game, the part where you’re piloting a plane and shooting at waves of things which are hard-but-not-impossible to kill until your lives run out and you have to start over. To play THAT game I would be okay with either watching ads OR paying some money (say, $5?) to permanently turn off ads but what I don’t want to do is be constantly forced to play a horrible meta-game of deciding what features to temporarily “upgrade” to keep playing and/or remaining competitive. The interface for picking how to upgrade stuff and picking missions to play is too complex and arcane and just generally an annoying distraction from the ACTUAL GAME.

Also, it can be hard to tell apart some of the coins/bonuses you’re supposed to collect from some of the bullets that are trying to kill you. (I am red-green colorblind so there might be color cues I’m missing).

In short, this feels *tantalizingly close* to being a fun game but is not actually on-net a fun game; I played a few levels and deleted it. Recently I downloaded it again to give it another chance but it hasn’t gotten any better so I deleted it again.

Developers turned it into a grind fest. Ok so I’ve played this game for a couple months now and when I started it was fun. But with this most recent update, the developer have ruined their own game in the name of monetizing it. This was always pay to win but if you didn’t want to pay you could still win sometimes by putting in work and playing smart, but they severely needed that aspect to the point that the only way to win is by buying the premium planes. Let me do a little math for you. In previous events, you could play certain levels and finish them in roughly 5 minutes. You would get roughly 150 medals. The premium reward for that event cost 50k medals. That’s playing 3 hours a day for 9 days and you would be a couple thousand short for the max reward...Now the pay out for those same levels is 80 medals for 5 minutes. You’d roughly have to play 5.75 hours a day to get the same rewards. Don’t bother. It’s a waste of time to play now. I like rubbing numbers to see how things changed. Even when they had it at 3 hours of play I knew I was never gonna get those rewards but hell I can use the other rewards I get but now I’m not even gonna get half the rewards I need to level up my planes. Hope this helps.

First off, I really liked this game. I was making good progress and liked the planes, power ups, etc. Then my progress really started to slow down and had to use power ups if I wanted to have a chance to beat boss levels. I liked the game enough that I spent hours each day collecting medals, money, etc. to become stronger. It worked and even though progress was slow I was getting somewhere. I noticed a few days ago, and all of the sudden, that the life of enemy planes tripled or quadrupled. For example, on a boss level that I couldn’t pass, I could at least make it to the boss; now I can’t even get to it since the enemy planes became unbearably strong. Even with full power up’s loaded on my planes I can’t get close. Please turn this off and change it back to how it was a few days ago. I could spend hundreds of hours more on this game and go nowhere with how hard you made it now. That just sucked all the fun out of this game for me and I feel like the time I’ve spent has now been wasted. Don’t make this game impassable. I’ve read a few other reviews like this so I know I’m not alone. You would have an awesome game again if you change it back.

Been playing for about 3 months, great game. There is a caveat however, you need to spend real dollars to get gems to progress to the highest levels. On my way to that goal which conflicted with what my wife thought I should be spending money on I realized that I was being over billed. First few times I was questioning myself, then I made only singular purchases and made my Apple Pay put my password in each time (not just once in a fifteen minute window) and still extra items billed to me. No one to talk to you at this app only a Facebook page, Apple Pay and credit cards will only deny charges which will get you banned and like I said I like the game, so now trying to set up my apple account to be cash only so they can’t bill for extra items. If I could fix the over billing problem I would give 5 stars. Be careful with this one I am certain of the last few charges being over billed but I suspect I was billed for as much as 50% over what I actually bought in game.

It’s a really good game after beating Level 30 I’m still having trouble playing the game

It would be great if you deboost the difficulty on the side mission like when I try not to get spotted I cant survive a second
So I will recommend that.

Another thing good job on making this game so detailed I LOVE IT! Idk why I told my cousin to download and he always GRINDS
He is on level 50 and I told him to do this like 3 or 4 days ok crazy right?

Can you put some new like rocket thingys (don’t know what there called ) it’s the one where you press the button and then a airstrick so I have a idea so..

1. It will be cool to add this one

It is a support booster that will boost your ship and slow down other ships it will also give you a shield boost ( will not work on bosses)

2. Another one!

This one is some like a support and attack if you press the button it will grant you life steal. Meaning when you attack entity’s or bosses it will give you 25% of there health it will also give them a oil leaking effect

3. This is a new plane.

So it is a plane that shoots toxic gas it has a ability to throw gas bombs while standing in them you will become invisible but will do double the damage while the toxic bomb is on the map it will spread and kill everything until it dies ( will not work on bosses or side missions )

Let’s start with the biggest problem. This game had seemingly no support. I have messaged the linked “website” (Facebook page) and have had no response in over a week. You pay for premium and the ads that you ultimately still have to watch to play the game, especially in later levels, freeze the game and close 1945 . Since gaining access to a third jet, it usually respawns my worst jet, if the ads don’t freeze the game. You compete in tournaments and win; but never receive your prizes (hours later at least).

I have been holding out writing this review in hopes things might get resolved but I can’t even get a response. So here we are. There are issues too but these are my main complaints. Otherwise it’s a pretty fun game.

I will change it to a 5 star rating if I can get support for the issue below:
I’ve been playing this game for months and have only made one purchase and I am very pleased with my progress and the fun I’ve had playing. I’ve been through numerous app updates and vast changes to the game and even kept playing after the update that changed all of the planes wingman and devices an credited me gems to sort of start over with my progress - but if I can’t get support for this issue I’m done I guess and will be very disappointed in all of the time I’ve invested in this game! I’m on level 153 with the rank of major and VIP level 7. When all of a sudden a week ago I have been unable to play - my home screen does not show any of my planes it just shows a grey lock in each box with the green arrow (meaning promotion) in each- my account ID is gone along with all of my achievements- When I try to play a mission it just shows all of the enemy’s planes. I’m unable to claim any daily check in for prizes or claim any items?

UPDATE : DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS GAME! All of the connectivity features for this game have not worked in 4+ months including PvP. With the most recent update, I’m no longer able to watch any ads (the only real way to get gems and advance in the game) or be able to finish any levels (it just goes to an infinite, never ending screen when I’ve finished). The worst part is that they have put out TWO updates and neither of them fix the problems! The programming behind this game is an absolute joke. Don’t fall for it!

The game is really fun but you should go in to it assuming there will always be something wrong with no fix. They ran an update and I haven’t been able to play “multi player” in months with no fix. They will also continue to make the planes worse, take away things you’ve already earned and inflation (how gems and gold lose more and more value with time) in this game is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Overall terrible experience but pretty fun if you keep your expectations low.

Such a fun game which is why this continual cash grab by developers is so frustrating. I understand that these are all for profit but how much is enough? There is no consistency in the leveling and even if you spend the money (which is mandatory to progress) it’s still ridiculously, over the top hard - borderline impossible to progress which really takes the enjoyment out of the game. You spend money to level Hope hoping to overcome the difficulty but at a certain point, you throw your arms up when literally there is no evading the amount of enemy fire on the screen. I’m not even at a high level although my inventory is and it’s virtually impossible to proceed. The developers thought process is that we the players throw money at the problem but how is that fun? What a shame. You’ll enjoy the first 20 levels and from there it’s just a slog and a money pit. Don’t bother.

Other issues: super buggy. On more occasions than I can count, your plane’s movement will just freeze. Only way to fix is to pause, wait 10 seconds then proceed but that only works half the time.

UI takes awhile to understand and is super confusing.

Multiplayer feels very incomplete

Side missions yield very little reward and again, to progress, you need to throw money at the problem.

There has to be a happy medium. I expect to support good games with in game purchases but not when it’s this greedy. Do better please

This game should be about some strategy, not about having the armament of the enemy to be two to three times greater than the armament one is able to get through gold, or other means. The boss of level #40. Because when every avenue has been tried without spending money, I refuse to spend. I am probably up to several hundred videos. Thank for your time.

I try to find fun games, some to pass the time and others to learn from. First, I will not buy extras or packages. Because I have a lot more important things to do with my money. Second, I did enjoy playing but run out of stuff that I could buy with gold coins. So, any upgrades comes to a halt. So, refer to First. Third, I went a long time of not doing extra videos, because I had lots of gold coins and nothing to spend them on. Then I watched a few videos. So, you can keep app. May it keep you warm

Game is fun but bugs are everywhere. They seems fix one issue break 20 different working features. They broke achievements status on your profile on before last update, yet they did not fix this which is important for the gamer. On the recent update they broke tier lll devices screen. This is not the end, pvp United last stand matches picking often shows the game win points imaginary number where both players aircraft power can’t even match 1/4 that points, so opposite player plays better than the defendant players yet they lost the game. Seems no quality control and proper testing done before they release game to production. On the recent update they removed special features from all the aircraft. Should I assume it’s bug or was it intentional? Definitely discouraging to play this game.

The dead saw and Gunmam F9F panther used to destroy enemy bullets, now they don’t do nothing. Developer keep lying on the update description.

A developer is not allowed to keep "moving the goal posts" to suit their financial needs. When a product is purchased, it us bought "as is" - it can't loss or gain value without notifying the customer. That is y’all’s rules for developers not mine. Read the terms and conditions for Developers. It's literally illegal for them to change or alter a purchased item without offered equal compensation and notifying the Customer. They've done neither! They altered my in store purchases to the point of rendering them useless. I did not buy it on a lease agreement I bought it as a finished product. They have made it where I can’t play at half the level I used to and do this out of greed so people will buy more. This is illegal if you are at any brick and mortar store as it should also be for online people. This is fraudulent advertisement and is a scam for more money. I would like to be refunded for every purchase I have made to onesoft falcon games and y’all to open fraud & scam cases against them!
