U.S. Soccer – Official App Reviews

USSoccer just pushes advertising and collecting data. So many new fans like me who want to learn about players, where they are from, how they arrived, read what inspired them.. their stories and see their stats and watch matches. I had to hunt around at first to just find the women’s players bios. I enjoyed reading about each player. Now I can’t find even the list of players. Poor navigation. The menu disappeared. All I see is the same advertising push when I come back for viewing a video. Please take me back to where I was previously. This scan thing does not work. Please don’t block all content forcing me to give email address, verify email, forcing to give location and keep pushing ticket sales when I can only watch the matches. Please just allow me to read about the players, follow my player and matches and stats on matches and players. Just keep all simple so a fan can read, follow and enjoy.

I don’t usually write reviews of apps, but this one is really frustrating. First, why would anyone assume I want an app to launch into loud music when I open it? That also seems to cause it to take a little too long to load. Second, not only does it not give me the information I am looking for such as a extensive schedule for all teams, it doesn’t seem to be professionally updated with game results and next matches like you would find in ESPN, for example. Third, I seem to always have an indication there is a notification but can’t figure out what it is and the indicator won’t go away. I will say one thing, I guess its shortcomings are accurately reflective of the entire U.S. Soccer operation.

In all I love that I can get on USSoccer and see how long until the next game is and that I get a look at the starting lineup. But I signed up to be an insider and there is something called caps that tracks how many games you have gone to. Anyway so I went to a USWNT victory tour game in Chicago and I was excited to see I had my first cap. But when I got home a looked I said I still had 0 caps. I was pretty disappointed with that

USSoccer is a great way to keep up with both the men and women’s team. You can check the roster easily and stats but there is on problem I have come across during a match. I try to click a feature to see a map out of the match so far such as where shots were taken and made, and it kicks me out of USSoccer and when I try it again does the same thing.
Fix that and USSoccer is fantastic.

App is overall easy to navigate.

It would be great if USSoccer would allow you to add games to your calendar. It’s hard to keep track of the USMNT schedule sometimes and most of the reason I use USSoccer is for that. Would be nice to add games to my calendar so I can remember they’re on and actually watch them.

The intro video is annoying as hell and there’s no way to bypass it. Most apps allow you to self navigate through a tutorial, or skip it. USSoccer just takes over your phone like you’re watching a tv ad. If you exit USSoccer , it just freezes and you have to force quit it. When you do that, it starts the video all over again! So far I haven’t gotten past this stupid advert. I’ve already downloaded USSoccer , you don’t need to convince me that it’s an app worth getting 🙄.

I don’t know if it’s just mine but USSoccer keeps on logging me out and I have to log back in. It gets annoying because I was trying to keep up with the game while I was out and I couldn’t.

I’m looking forward to being able to “watch” the USWNT match today via USSoccer since I’ll be proctoring an exam and won’t be able to watch the match itself. I like the visuals during the matches showing moves and the info provided. I really like this as a quick summary and easy access via app

One star for failure to have an iPad version. Some of us prefer to read from an iPad screen in landscape view as opposed to a small iPhone portrait view screen. One star also for forcing one to join. You cannot enter USSoccer unless you join with a login and password. They offer you to continue as guest. In selecting “continue as guest” a screen comes up forcing you to join, or “remind me later” option. I DO NOT WANT TO BE REMINDED LATER. I DO NOT WANT TO JOIN. ALL I WANT IS INFORMATION. It’s easier to use the website than USSoccer . APP DELETED.

I love USSoccer for updates and alerts but I’ve had issues regarding video with no audio for every video on the site and I have nowhere to report technical issues! Every “support” button redirects me to contacting them about media relations or anti doping- I’m just a fan who’s app isn’t letting me listen to interviews. It’s really frustrating. I’ve had to find fan reposts of content.

Excellent app with the ability to vote for man of the match and sign up for early ticket sales. Also great articles from the writers before and after upcoming fixtures! Highly recommend to anyone who loves USA Soccer!

...before I even get a chance to orient myself to USSoccer essentially told me that it was time to delete before even spending any more time. Of course, the commercial did not even load properly as it appears USSoccer is not well suited for iPads, as you could tell through its design. So, overall the initial impressions told me that it was not worth keeping over any other soccer app.

Has some good information, looks nice, but honestly it feels like they are screaming to better understand more about their fan base with the information they’re collecting up front.

Also stop defaulting to the USWNT. I barely care about them in the WC. Can you set a preference so that you can pick which team you want to see information for?

I like some of the information, but it would be helpful if they provided player updates about their club performance that could inform how their USMNT performance might be affected.

Would also be cool if we could compare lineups and roster selections between different games.

I was so excited to get USSoccer, as I am a huge fan of the USWNT and the World Cup is almost here. I’m frustrated with that USSoccer doesn’t even have the most recent team roster when it’s been the same for around a month now. I’m hoping that it is much more updated and better when it’s World Cup time

USSoccer is long overdue and extremely disappointing. It shows a schedule, but there’s not even a way to subscribe to it on your calendar. The MLS app has that option for the USMNT and it’s sad there is absolutely no way to do that for the USWNT. Not even for a singular game. This seems like a day’s worth of work to just get USSoccer “out there” before the World Cup this summer.

Too much about the USMNT as they seem to be the headliner when you open USSoccer. Do sad considering the USWNT is so much more fun to watch, more competitive, better sportsmanship and bottom line … they win!!
US Soccer continues to keep their heads in the sand regarding the respect due to the USWNT. Would be nice if the USWNT had their own website … over 80% of the traffic on this site is to check in on the USWNT.

USSoccer looks nice but the sound does not play for any of the videos on USSoccer when I play them even though the video itself is playing.

Once you get past the sign up, USSoccer works fine

Us soccer app is good for stats and to watch games on the go. I can get all of the thing I need to know about players and games and even teams but USSoccer is very slow I feel like I have to touch it a millon times for it to work 😏

i downloaded it and it was working fine for like a day, great stats and news on the USWNT and USMNT. but after a day it logged me out and i tried logging back in but it said “service error” and wouldn’t let me log back in. please fix this soon

Love USSoccer and glad I now have somewhere to go for updates about the team and games. But USSoccer definitely still needs some major work. Right now there is a notification problem that causes it to not disappear. There’s no way to get it off. And also wish we could choose which team we want to get notifications about. I really just want the Women’s notifications so it’s annoying when the men are playing and I have to get theirs too.

There’s a lot going on in USSoccer but you can’t get the notification icon to go away when there’s no real notification to be seen. Need some cleaning up and more fixes.

This would be a good app if it included the youth teams and had info about when they are playing. It also would be nice to be able to opt out of teams I’m not interested in, like the MNT.

USSoccer is slow and clunky. The layout is poorly designed. Zero control over notifications. USSoccer hasn’t crashed, but this feels like amateur hour. Please add options for “Match Reminder” notifications. I.e 2 hours before game 1 day before game 2 days before game.

USSoccer is worthless if it only covers the top Men’s and Women’s teams. I could care less about the USMNT and am interested in the Women’s World Cup. If I am correct the Men’s U20 just played their first World Cup game against the Ukraine and lost. I want to see all the information about that team and game and tournament schedule.

Love it so far, but I’m having issues with the notification badge clearing.
